Sadly, I avoid those forums like the plague. Makes my head hurt. (I credit anyone who dares go there.)

It does look like anti-alias alpha gone wrong..
..but with honesty I have seen the lines on the worg pre-patch just not as harsh. I think its just having low resolution textures. They need an upgrade.

Small bit of news related to this, so thread necro. xD

The coyote wolf models are fixed!Image

However, oddly enough the worg models still have the lines. =/

I'm a bit baffled how one was fixed and the other wasn't, but....at least the small wolves no longer have those terrible outlines. I haven't gone around and checked miscellaneous background objects like the vines and such yet, but I'm glad to see something changed. Hopefully the worgs will be cured of their outlines soon as well.

The felsteed's tail has always had that break in it, at least since I started playing a warlock in BC.

And yes, it looks like crap.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one seeing these lines. With the exception of particle density (which is ultra) I run everything either as low as it will go or at fair (view distance, mostly). Partly because some of it annoys me (ground clutter is ugly, and water polygon rips when viewed from above) and partly to prevent the game having epilepsy on me when a special effect happens three inches in front of the "camera". I first noticed the lines pretty much right after the patch when I was putting my wolf (good ol' Timber) into the stables. I mean... I didn't even have that wolf out and I noticed it in the stables mini screen. My screenshots of Goldrinn also bear these lines (you'd think they'd have more respect for the Wolf God!).

But it's not a glitch that bothers me that much... especially compared to some of the other glitches I've spotted over the years. I even overlook all the polygon rips. But the ones that annoy me the most are when polygons... or sometimes entire object... go missing.

I have screenshots of dragons missing claws, the rolling fireball quest from Uldum minus the fireball, terrain that simply stops at a straight line and resembles a Bryce demo render picture, etc. I also have screenshots of kids sleeping standing up in Deadmines, the invisible wall near Ironforge (well, it's actually my attempt to fly through it but instead being forced into the ground is what's screenshotted), me mousing over one of the benches in the Cathedral of Light and the object name returned is "Doodad_StormWindBench42" instead of "Bench" like you see in the rest of the world, my gryphon blurry but everything else sharp, herbs (prepatch) and archaeology items (postpatch) spawning in the air, some animation glitches where I'd get stuck in the last "frame" of some action instead of going back to an idle animation, my airborn gryphon in his standing animation, a couple of shots of neked people syndrome, chairs floating in the air off the end of the Menethil docks, upside down fences (they appear lit from the bottom), fences hovering in the air, purple and brown terrain meeting in a sharp line instead of being blended, a view from inside my gryphon's head, a flying druid with his ground mount suspended in the air below him, and my personal favorite: three different pictures of players on dragons on argent horses.
