Any insane pet tales?

My night elf hunter's first pet was Timber (aka Stormwraith), the white worg from Dun Morogh. Now, I can't remember exactly how it worked, but in those days, there was no boat to Stormwind--it went to Menethil Harbor instead.

As a level 10, I made my way to Darkshore, across the sea to Menethil (iirc, anyway), through Wetlands (this I DO recall) past dozens of angry crocs and spiders, through the Dragonmaw-infested mountain passes, through a small portion of Loch Modan and through to the far end of Dun Morogh.

I never used her much--she's still around level 40--but Stormwraith is still her best friend.

Later on, I also tamed The Rake (Dagaz, the rune for day) on a lvl 10 dwarf, which also was... interesting, especially given that it was on a heavily-populated RpPvP realm

I can never seem to stick with Alliance hunters, but their pets seem to stick with them at least!

Ran a 10 draenai from his starting area all the way to muglore to get Mazzranache once. Fun stuff =P
