And they're in the middle of a 14+ hour workday, on a holiday week. They're gonna need some time off and lots of Turkey and Pumpkin Pie to recover.

Honestly, 5 pm is on the early side, considering that some non-world-breaking patches have gone as late as 6 or 7 pm.

I'm surprised. I thought it would be an All Day Maintenence, considering the extent to which the world's going to change. Thought I'd use the time to get caught up on some studying, with finals coming and everything

I did stay up until the server restart at 6 this morning, saying "goodbye" to Old Azeroth, and grinding event gear for my 'lock and mage, since all four bosses were available for the first time on my server since the first day. Good thing I didn't have school until 3:30 this afternoon!

I also sent every one of my Alterac Mountains toons "home" -- to the towns that they're most confortable in, RP-wise:

Cerah rejoined her family (My Troll [technically Trorc] Mage, Taysha, her daughter, and my bf's Troll Hunter, Seabaston, her husband) at "their" hut in Shadowprey Village in Desolace.

Emielee, my Forsaken warlock, returned to the Magic Quarter of Undercity.

Lighthope, my Blood Elf Paladin, and her son Fateflare, my BE Rogue, came home to Silvermoon

Bessey, my Tauren Druid, teleported back to Moonglade

Meggera, my DK Death Knight, went back to the Ebon Hold.

I thought it would be nice for my toons to start out their adventures in a new world from their homes. I got Taysha back literally just 4 minutes before the server restart.
