Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
I was lvl 11. I died again once I reached rutheran, and had to run across the water again as a ghost. I got as close as I could to the portal, rezed and ran into it as fast as i could. I got lucky, and didn't die till i was through the portal. It just takes a few tries.

Special thanks to Ket-shi!
Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
This might not work any longer due to the shattering but since the dark striped cat model has always been my fav and the easiest way to get em as horde is to tame Nightstalkers on Azuremyst Isle, I used to (at level 10 with my BE hunter) take the long arduous journey to Menethil Harbor to catch the ship to Darkshore and then Darkshore to Azuremyst Isle. I dunno what route now gets you there but the idea is still the same. Once you get into the actual town you need to be in, make your way towards the ship and die really close to it, close enough so that you can get onto the ship as a ghost and then rez as the ship disembarks, the city guards can't get on the boat after it leaves harbor. Do this yet again to get onto the next boat, and once you're at Azuremyst Isle the guards there can actually be avoided.pop wrote:Anyone has any suggestion of how a level 10 horde hunter can get his hands on moth, ravager, and the rare cat from teldrassil? I tried corpse running but the problem is as soon as the boat enter a different zone and I rez, I got killed by the guards and get sent to darkshore...
any ideas?
Hope this helps

My suggestion: Find a Paladin friend w/ a Grand Mammoth. He pops an Elixir of Water Walking, you ride-shotgun. Easy trip across. As well, you can get on the Azuremyst Boat without aggroing the 85 Darnassus gards (the guards on the Azuremyst Boat are still 75, no ranged weapons). There is a small island along the dock bridge for it, that you CAN jump onto the dock from, and it's far enough away from the guards on the mainland, that they won't aggro (at least not at 80...)
I know this mostly works, having just took my mom's Priest around for Pilgrim's Peril.
As described above, is how Darnassus works. And even as a ghost, you CAN make the run from coast-to-coast now. No fatigue-death (it's close though). If you are at least Level 20, bring a Water Walking Elixir, so you won't die at all from Fatigue (Mounted Run > Spirit Run)

For Darnassus, there's no "phase" going across the water--but for Azuremyst, could you not just die on the boat, and not release? On the Horde zeppelins, when you phase across it resses you on the boat. Or does it res you back at the graveyard again now? : /
Sad to hear that the boat-guards attack now. I was always nice to them

Everyone's been saying that corpse running is impossible now - it brings you back to the graveyard you popped at.Acherontia wrote:For Darnassus, there's no "phase" going across the water--but for Azuremyst, could you not just die on the boat, and not release? Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
I just went to Bloodmyst Isle myself to grab the spiked spiders there. It was surprisingly easy, and not nearly as frustrating as I had been expecting it to be.
I ran up to Darkshore, to the northernmost point in order to be closest to Rutheran. On the beach I took an Elixir of Water Walking then mounted up and ran across the fatigue waters, making it to Teldrassil in plenty of time.
I ran around to the Azuremyst boat dock, where I was unfortunately spotted by guards and killed on the dock. When I released spirit I was all the way back in Darkshore. Not to be discouraged, I ran back up to the north point and started running across the fatigue waters once more. I didn't think I would make it without the mount speed, but shockingly I actually got to Rutheran with mere seconds to spare before fatigue death.
After that it was a simple matter of waiting on the boat dock near my corpse, then rezzing and jumping into the boat when it sailed into view. I had no troubles from then on.

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
I just tamed a Bloodmyst Hatchling on my level 13 Forsaken hunter on a PVE realm. It wasn't easy.
Since there is no boat from Darkshore to Rut'theran anymore, I tried swimming. Went to the farthest point off Lor'danel without hitting fatigue (Mist's Edge 40, 11 for those with coords) and started out. I died three times from fatigue without reaching my goal - so close though! I finally gave in and got a DK to help me. We used frost walking and I popped a speed potion (usable at level 5) and just *barely* made it to The Veiled Sea (near 59, 95).
The dock with the boat to Azuremyst is on the western side of Rut'theran's little island. I approached from the south side, passing the boat from Stormwind. Warning: If you get too close, the crew on that boat will aggro and will shoot you with ranged weapons! I took a hit but made it alive to the Azuremyst dock. There is a rock about midway down the dock from which you can jump onto the dock without aggroing the crazy high level guards at the island end. It took me a couple of tries because there is a beam that *looks* as if you can use it as a stepping jump onto the dock but it's a lie (you fall right through it).
Once on the dock there was no problem. It was business as usual to get on the boat to Azuremyst. The crew are hostile but will not aggro or attack you. So now I have the ugliest darn ravager out there, but somehow he's still cute to me. Good luck all!

Re: Azuremyst, Bloodmyst, Teldrassil: hardest tame for horde
Sigh, I just tried to catch the boat from SW to Darn, I took the Zep to Grom'Gol, long, but uneventful swim to SW. Died close to the end of the dock, wound up popping waaay on the other side of Elwynn, ran to my body, and was able to rez in the cabin safe enough. As soon as we arrived I popped my head out *BANG* dead. Popped in Darkshore *sigh* so I start running towards my body, and then I see it start to move! All of the sudden I get the loading screen and I find my self alive on the boat! Not for long though, because a half a second later I'm dead! So frustrating ;~;
Now I'm back in Elwynn starring at the Spirit Healer trying to decide what to do, give up or try again

Get yourself back over to Kalimdor this way, but this time accept the Spirit Healer's offer - and quickly!

Unfortunatly my body is now in the Easter Kingdom, and just to add insult to injury I got dropped way off in the water, so now I have to do the run twice across Elwynn. Why did the boat carry me all the way back to Stormwind, only to drop me in the middle of the harbour, ARGH!!

My question is what happened to the boats? I poked around during Beta and I couldn't find the boats anywhere.

They moved the boat from Darn to SW only, pain in the butt!

...maybe I didn't think this one through. Keep on thinking that you're trying to get to Auderdine, not Rut'theran!Murloc Chow wrote:What will this ^ do?Cialbi wrote:Get yourself back over to Kalimdor this way, but this time accept the Spirit Healer's offer - and quickly!

Sheesh, and here I has thinking not too long ago that it was hard to try and enter a barricaded Mulgore! That's cake compared to this insanity you have to deal with.

F*ck me! I just tried again, watched my coffin symbol, hoping the boat would go to SW, then maybe I could run to the island and wait for the boat to return. First I lost the ability to stand on the water (as a ghost) and then suddenly, loading screen! ARGH!!!! So now I'm back at SW harbour again, although this time I'm at the dock at least. I could just cry! In fact I think I will excuse me.

That figures and according to a friend the boat to Azuremyst is from Tedrassil. Make it a pain. )X Oh well, I can actually go around and take the boat from SW if I'm lucky, I won't have any trouble.

Worst part is that you cannot simply fly to Azuremyst - one must take the boat if they are Horde, or be summoned by three other Hordies who took the boat themselves.
