For fixes, I'd like to see hyenas returned to their original, more upright posture.

Well, first give them a proper swimming animation since we'll be spending so much time in Vahs'ir, then make them tameable.Golden wrote:Agreed. They have proper animations, and most of them are even classified as Beasts and have diets.Ryai wrote:And for fixing; Silithid ants. Make them ALL tameable. Need moar ants.

Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
We just spent years lobbying Blizzard to make a lot of these skins tamable. There are none that I want to see removed just for the sake of having a "retired pet". As for fixes, they can add charge to the Dog and Fox ferocity tree, make the mining monkey actually hold the pick better, and can make it so that the Gorishi Fledgling Colossus actually follows you around instead of standing there like a statue.Polartail wrote:The title says it all. Lordy lordy. Seagulls. Seaguls. Seagulls. Remove or fix? The way it moves, the way it attacks, everything about it. Removed or fixed?i've alwats sorta wanted a retired pet look XD

Anyhow, I'm with the people who say that pets shouldn't be retired. Gotta' be kinda' mean-spirited to want to mock someone else for not being able to tame something when it was available. Though I will admit that I'd be VERY happy if the new ghostwolf turned into a real wolf, that would remove my concerns about my old one.

I completely agree with this.Akycha wrote:If someone want something unique, there are plenty of hard to get pets out there.
As for foxes being 'disgusting', if this is a reference to so-called 'urban' foxes, the foxes themselves are not to blame. Their habitat gets taken over or destroyed by humans, so they have to get food where-ever they can, even if it is from those same humans.
I think they're no more 'disgusting', than their relative, the dog.

Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
Basically this. I will confess it gives me certain guilty satisfaction to have a "limited edition" pet, but I wouldn't go so far as to ask for it to be removed just so it can be all "MINE MINE MINE"; as long as other hunters had to overcome the same difficulties to get it that I did, they're welcome to it as far as I'm concerned (and bearing in mind that in most cases, anyone who has a rare or limited edition pet... only got it by following tame guides, comments, maps or etc provided by kind hunters who came before them!).Akycha wrote:I don't think pets should be removed. :/ Bugs fixed yes, but pets shouldn't be removed. I don't like the concept of removing a pet just so someone has a "retired" pet. If someone want something unique, there are plenty of hard to get pets out there.

Not talking about the urban ones here, but they're probably just as, if not more, disgusting than their wild relatives.neenee wrote:As for foxes being 'disgusting', if this is a reference to so-called 'urban' foxes, the foxes themselves are not to blame. Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
i know myself...i know i would probably love to have a retired pet..i also always loved to havee the ghostwolf..;why??? one of the reasons because it was pretty..;second because it was retired
all gezzzarak lovers dont throw rotten fruits at me please...
i always wanted her because she was retired (she is epic looking don't forget to mind that!)
i always tame the rarest spaws to stand out of the mob...i know i'm selfish...(trust me i have experiences with that^^)
i always liked the idea to admire rare pets and to have them. I wouldn't mind having a retired pet as long as it's not so much of a popular skin. *did u see anyone running around with a normal cougar pet?* i don't want pets like the croco spirits to become retired. they are just to awesome and to loved by anyone...But if everbody is honest...WE ALL WANT RETIRES! the rarer the pet is..the more the people will like it. So i don't mind running around with a retired as long as it isn't a neonflasglight flickering retired all the time. like the couger skin if it would be retired. I don't have any retireds myself but i don't mind i'mcontent with admiring other people retireds for now.
P.S. none of the new cata pets should be made retired...
they gave us far to flashy skins.

Ah, yes. The only pet that I think should have been retired for reasons other than being glitched/broken.Kryte wrote:The only pet I've felt should be removed already has been. Although I'll probably get a lot of hate for saying this, I'm glad the worgen 'pet' was removed, and I think that's the proper way to handle the situation regarding any humanoid pets, regardless of whether or not they're a playable race. I don't think, however, that mobs should made untameable for the sake of promoting rarity or to avoid having to fix bugs with that mob (as was the case for the death ravager).
For fixes, I'd like to see hyenas returned to their original, more upright posture.
Because, if you ask me, taming a worgen should look something like this

I LIKE my foxes, Saturo, TYVM. And sorry but if blizzard removed them because to many people said they were disgusting, I would bite you. :|Saturo wrote:I'd like foxes removed. Yuck, disgusting pests.
Why not leave it as an SB and just make the stone talon ghost wolves tameable- or the ghostpaw alphas not have a buff of ghostwolf form, and it be real, and if you tamed it as such it will remain as such. This way everyone is happy.Anyhow, I'm with the people who say that pets shouldn't be retired. Bluddy, dear, she was retired originally BECAUSE she was broken; alot like the Death Ravager, Blizzard decided to break taming her and fix the few tamed than actually fix the whole mob itself- until Cata thankfully.i know myself...i know i would probably love to have a retired pet..i also always loved to havee the ghostwolf..;why??? one of the reasons because it was pretty..;second because it was retired
When the sapphire hive queen was untameable and I was the only one with her- no one complimented Ryai infact people were SCARED of Aurelius ;DWE ALL WANT RETIRES! the rarer the pet is..the more the people will like it.
When I run around with Erebus- Spirit of Atha aka the Hydra, no one compliments Ryai.
The only compliments I have gotten horde side, hellscream, were for Brainbug and Chromaggus.
my dwarf harp recieved love and praise for her pets from nearly all her outlands pugs and none of them were retired either, dear.

Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
THINGS I WOULD FIX...
Seagulls:
Oh my god the model >.o Ok look, I think the model is cute...for a mini-pet. It's obvious when you see this mob that its a blown up mini-pet and just had the check-to-tame box checked. I think I would *love* to have a seagull, but I'd rather my pet have more then 3 polygons. So first thing I would do? Give the seagull a model more on par with the rest of the Cataclysm models.
Spiders:
The draenei zone ones.... I would replace that sound in a heartbeat. My lord I can't stand that spider soundset >.o
Monkeys:
Yet another case of "blown up mini-pet model". I would fix this pronto so that way these models have the awesome cataclysm-esque model they deserve. Really, the pickaxe they carry has just as many polygons as them

Bears:
If I could have a bear model that looked more bear-like (aka like the druid bear forms), I would tame one. In a heart beat.
Finally:
Gondria & Arcturius
I would actually love to have one of these guys. but one thing bugs me... their old transparency. I often wondered why they didn't have a nice-smooth ghost effect (and by that I mean, look at ghost worms from Storm Peaks). The blockiness of Gondria actually annoys me so much that I flinch when I see one.
So... yeah those are the pets that kinda irk me and I would wish to be fixed. I know, not everyone will agree with me but hey XD I post this mostly for fun/discussion.

I only meant for them to be smoothed out *like* the Ghost worm; not have his transparency level. =PTaluwen wrote:Rikaku, while I agree Gondria and Arcturis could be smoothed out, I would NOT want them like the ghost worm. I hated that so much. I could barely see him and many random dungeons complained they couldn't see my pet either. It was terrible.
I agree, the ghost worm is hard to see. But I just mean how you don't really see every corner, nook and cranny of his model even though he's transparent is wonderful. I wish Gondria was like that, but no. Gondria shows off every sharp corner like she's made of Legos and that makes me sad

The Beast.
Blizz should gave him back his tag:O))
Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
I know what you mean. :/ I had a little RP story worked out for why my Ghostpaw, Wolf(ok so he's really from Dun Morough because I wanted him at level 10, but when I saw the Ghostpaws in ashenvale I know I wanted that pet. So, he's always been a ghostpaw in mind ever since I got him as a pup.), turned into a spirit wolf and I was dutyfully leveling up and gathering the stuff needed. I wasn't' hurrying or anything because they said they weren't going to remove it. Then they did T.T I was 3 levels shy.Novikova wrote:Ugh, no retiring more pets. >< It was tragic watching my friend miss out on the ghost wolf just because we missed one item/person. I've looked for Skoll for over a year too. Sigh.
Of course now with the new Spirit Beast with that model and the way that the Ghostpaws can transfrom now. I've got a perfect reason to switch back and forth between the two models for Wolf.

As for pets I want fixed...
Does having the pets show up correctly on the stables on the new community site count?
