I love my boarbequeue. Or in my case, Luau. If I lose him, I still have my lovely blue Shard-hide boar, but I just *love* the visual effect of the burning bacon. I'm really hoping that it doesn't get shifted or removed!

I'm personally thinking one of the easiest ways to fix this would be to find some way to purge debuffs/buffs on hunter's pets. Most of the visual effects that stick around aren't officially debuffs/buffs, after all. The burning pig doesn't have a 'burning' debuff in the list that I can see. I'm... not sure about the oil-covered wolf.
Come see Kurasu's stables!

the oil wolf has a buff but thats ive noticed with mine, nothing has dispelled it, when he dies it doesnt go away.

Now i have a BBQ Pig named MistaCrispin and I love him, i also have the blue mist bird. Now i dont see why blizz would make a big deal out of them since, its not like the visuals do anything besides make them look different.

On the pets with dmg buffs ( i dont have one) i could see if they get mad for the simple fact there are people out there who would abuse it and ruin it for everyone. i feel it is one of those things, that again IMO- if you have a pet with a dmg buff: using it will most likely increase the chances of you being banned/punished and the pets removed changed. If you dont- The risk is much much lower...

again all im IMO.. Ima go look at cata stuff now :D

A little off topic, is it just me or do the flaming piggy's run awfully fast? I got some one with a standard piggy, same lvl, same talents, all same same, to have a running race with mine. Yet the flaming piggy always seemed to win O_o. Anyone else noticed this?

A little on topic. I managed to get in contact with a GM whom also told me if these tames become an issue, they will deal with it appropriately in up coming patches.

boar's speed talent 30% run speed increase??

most of the pet "buffs" are asethetic, the 15% pet dmg "buff" is really a tiny pet dmg buff. and its not permanent.

Seen reports of this. Sometimes it gets tamed with the flames and speed boost, other times with just the flames. The speed boost is lost upon death at any rate.

EDIT: Unintelligible typos FTL :(

Actually it is permanent- aslong as the pet doesn't die. And Cunning is on par with Ferocity almost- Bats and Spiders are Cunning. Ergo- they would in theory aslong as they don't DIE, do more dps than legitimately tamed ferocity pets.

But...the game didn't do this glitch on its own - you made the game glitch in a certain manner to get the result you wanted. Kinda left that part out of your ticket /shrug

That's exactly the point. The spiders don't keep the Fel Taint debuff on their own, the hunter has to do something clearly not intended, as the "pet abandon"-macro is obviously a glitch in the game (otherwise you wouldn't keep the pet, because /script PetAbandon() should... well, abandon it, right?).

Also... please stop pestering the GMs with this, as the previous conversations have shown, they clearly don't have a definitive answer on this and are more or less guessing.

Grafx: If you only tell the story this way and leave out the vital details on how you acquired the pets you will only get answers you want to hear...

A GM I spoke to told me to not use that way of taming until there is an answer from Blizz Dev on this matter.

QFT. All we accomplish is a bunch of mixed signals from different GMs answering different petitions with different wordings. Kurasu has managed to get two contradicting answers to the same question by just changin the wording (in his defense, he was merely trying to clarify some possible confusion).

At this point, just wait for an actual blue response on the official forums, and in the meantime be diligent about clearing any game-changing buffs or debuffs from pets that are tamed in this manner so as to simply play it safe.
