Btw, was Big Samras ever actually implemented in Old Hillsbrad? And still need to find Araga

No luck with OCJ again. >_< I made a pass earlier (which was when I picked up SD for the PTR too, just so I wouldn't miss him). Didn't see any Hillsbrad rares either. :/

Btw, is it me, or is it a bug, or is it phased--ALL of The Uplands (where that Baron dude and all his cronies used to live, along with mountain lions etc) is empty. Is it MEANT to be empty? As in, exactly 0 npcs/mobs? Or...? :S

I keep hoping Araga will turn up here, but I've got 0 life showing here

I'm constantly flying over Felwood in hopes of finding Olm - so far I've been unsuccessful. :( I'm guessing he just hasn't spawned yet since the restart - him getting an unique skin makes me confident he's out there.

My guess is that the rares are getting put back in in stages, and not necessarily by zone. Olm might have lagged behind due to his new skin. I'm pretty sure Timber wasn't up before this new build and he seemed to be the only Dun Morogh rare missing.

Uplands might be phased for you....ugh, that could get so messy.

I have no idea; I'm just assuming that there should be. I haven't quested there at all since Cata. So take what I say with a grain of salt!

Would be sleeping, but my pet hunting turned into a last spin around Uldum on live....green Madexx was up....you can guess the rest. >_>

Well done! Olm was the only one I checked for before I went to bed for the night, and now I'm sorry I didn't go take a spin for the others. ... but dammit, I was *tired*! I did a full Felwood sweep with NPCScan on, and no wardrums. I'll give it another try, praying that maybe, just maybe, it was because he just hadn't spawned.

For the 'uplands being phased', I can honestly say that it's pretty dead for me. And I'm Alliance, so if there's a phasing issue, I'm *really* screwed. There's nothing I can do to quest and *un*phase it.

Looks like Barnabus got a re-skin his own self. That looks like the Tito-brown more than the ember-worg-red? The lighting makes it hard for me to be sure.

Edited to add: someone was apparently on either a killing or taming spree in Badlands; I just finished flying over on EU PVE, and no sign of any of the tameable rares. No sign of the giant, either, but I don't know exactly where to hunt. Just 'far west'.

No that's not brown, that's red. Trust me after running around looking for Deathmaw on live and tripping over 150 red worgs on my circlings, I can say 100% sure that's red.

Awesome. I am a bit disheartened by Zari not being elite anymore. There are certain fundamental young huntering experiences I have had that are being removed, and being ganked by this elite ninja buzzard was one of them

I have updated my list as well with these finds. It looks like some of the Badlands rares have been added, but any sign of any Hinterland or Hillsbrad rares? tameable or not? It seems very plausible (as mentioned above) that these mobs are being restored in stages, and I really doubt yesterdays build is the release build for live, so when we get a new PTR build, we can probably (hopefully) expect some more to pop up! Go go OCJ!

Waste Pawne was never a rare- he was one of a trio of quest mobs [including the Silithid Harvester, but with Camp T... destroyed, and the other two quest drop mobs gone [outside of the Silithid Harvester but he was always a false rare anyways], I doubt Washte will be reintroduced [especially given the fact in 1k/thousand needles you can obtain Arikara or whatever so easily horde or ally]

Mean keep your eyes open but Washte was never a rare :p

Uplands in the old game had mobs. In this one (I took a fly-over again) it's... dead. *Dead* dead. I found three sheep, one Mageroyal bush, and that's it. I have to agree that having something spawn in there again would be nice!

Also, I found I stand corrected on the 'no rares' thing there. There is *one* rare that I've been able to find a few times, before and after the patch, but for some reason blanked on it. It's a new rare: a blue drake at the Dalaran crater. But I still suspect the 'unfinished' you were talking about before: they have yet to add things there.

Going to go check Hinterlands and see if it's the same. And maybe a trip into The Plaguelands. There's no tameable rares in either one (that we know of), but maybe I can see if other places are missing all their rares.

Just came off checking over EPL with NPCscan 'all rares' scan running, and not one single peep. There may be some rares that Wowhead and NPCscan don't know about, but I'm satisfied that EPL is also rare-free right now. Which means there's probably still some areas that are yet unfinished. No doubt that'll come in a build before the last one! .... I hope.

Western Plaguelands, on the other hand, seems to at least have kept its rares; I just about hit the ceiling when, not expecting to find a rare in the hills, NPCscan screamed about Scarlet Judge.

I just went through the Uplands in Hillsbrad and everywhere the mountain lions use to be there are Alliance (I guess they are Alliance) camps... no sign of mountain lions. I didn't fly around to see if I saw any anywhere else.

I took a fly over The Hinterlands and although there are a lot of wolves in OCJ's area I didn't see him roaming around, but that doesn't mean he doesn't still spawn there.

Takk's path is new too, so we should probably be checking on all the rares, even the ones that've been found before, just in case. For instance, Dart...

Barnabus is definitely still red; I made sure to look at him in a different zone after I tamed him.

As for the giant in the Badlands, he's in the southwest-most corner. I flew in from that direction last night and there he was. He's really really really big. xD
