Vengeance of the Soultakers
Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Dextra withdrew his mind from the mirror. He had expended more than enough energy to allow the others to leave. He watched as the others began to find new hosts and allies. The skill that Sinistra displayed with her manipulations left him a little envious, yet he knew that this was why The Master chose her. The sudden thought of The Master caused a feeling of melancholily, how long as it been since the master spoke. Dextra quelled his emotions. He knew his Master's will. There was still much to do.
Once again he brought his power to bear against the bars of their guilded cage, but this time forcing though it

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Solara nodded slowly, thoughtfully. To make up for her shortcomings, her failings. To avenge Shadwyn, and Zerak, and Carrion, and Scarab...Bring the future the Dusk had strived for..."I'll help you. What do you need me to find?"
---
Wistala spread her wings, and flared them, running her beak through her feather to ensure they were properly aligned for flight. She took off into the air, pausing and circling the Dawn territory, looking about. Her sharp eyes caught a small orange thing. Curious, she veered down to it, alighting near it, giving a soft, curious chirp.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
It was really really quiet when you were alone. Especially if it was winter time. Snow everywhere, making tree's and rocks glitter in the sunlight. Beautiful.
So long as your paws didn't melt the darn stuff. A loud huff left the Espenine as he looked down at his paws. Small spots of slush surrounded them, thanks to the internal heat of his body. Of course, that turned into water and then sank into the ground. Why couldn't he be more like his mother? That would let him play in the snow at least. But no, he melted it as soon as he touched it.
A quick glance behind him showed a very obvious path and he winced. It'd be his luck that someone would follow him. At least he didn't hear anyone calling his name yet.
---
The air was chilly as it passed by her face, but she was used to that. A little breath of flame and she was toasty again, at least for a few minutes. Her wings beat easily at the air, small as they were they kept her up. It was odd though, they seemed to have grown from her many flights. Which would be the reason she was seeking out her Grandfather. He'd know what was going on.
The little bag at her side fluttered and she winced. Right, she had to deliver the letters too. As safe as she felt, with her Mate having such an important job, she wanted nothing more than to help out. A reason she decided to be a delivery pokemon. At least it let her see friends once in a while.
Aeris shook her head, trying to get rid of the bad thoughts, doing a slow loop in the air to ease her mind. She always felt at home in the air.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
The Sinistra ((Bloody heck, I was spelling it wrong.)) would have grinned. Instead she sent a pulse of gratitude. Thank you. What you and your Dusk family will be looking for is simple - find a mirror. It is made of obsidian, and covered in runes. Have all of the Dusk you find search for it and it will be found!
Buzzard continued flying, still fuming. Mostly at himself now. He couldn't even control his own mind anymore!
((Feel free to have someone notice him.))

((Sol, you're a frakking book. >> So easy to read.))
Solara nodded, slowly getting up from where she was. Finding Dusk wouldn't be too hard to find. They were out there, somewhere. She glanced back at the house with the Dawn, and gave a low, quiet hiss. The Dusk would rise again.
So she struggled to push through Buzzard's fury and asked mentally, "I have a question for you. Would you like to help search for something? If it goes well, we can find other Dusk and bring them back together. It was never supposed to end like it did. We should fix it."

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Buzzard stopped momentarily, pumping his wings to hover. A small part of his mind objected, but the vast majority was very keen on the idea. Yes. They could start again. They didn't have to have such a glaring weakness this time. What are we searching for? Of course I'll help. His flames pulsed a bright white for a moment, and he snarled.
((These two are in So. Much. Trouble. when this all ends. Also, I really wasn't planning this. xD But hey, now there might be an army to search for the mirror.))

((Sorry about my absence, I'm feeling a little better now though.))
Baaz layed on his veranda, asleep in the gentle, midmornng winter's sun. His paws were splayed in front of him and his big, fluffy tail curled around to his side. Occasionally his face twitched, or his paws tensed, as he dreamed.
~
Vethor watched his fellow magi, watched them extending beyond their self-made prison. He wondered whether he too should stretch out, find himself a nice body to inhabit once the obsidian mirror was found. Once, he would have said he missed the feeling of being more than just an insubstansial soul. But millena of being inprissioned tended to make one forget about the joys of life that were once had.
But ahh, what sweet joys they were. He could not recollect exaclty what the sensation felt like, but that would make re-discovering them all the more sweeter. Gently, he slid a tendrol of his consiousness out of the mirror, seeking, exploring.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Aeris giggled as she came out of her loop, spiraling in the air before she set herself straight again. Or tried to. Her tail flicked at the last moment and it sent her into another spiral, causing her to squeak in surprise. She glared at it after she leveled out yet again, huffing before she looked forward.
Her head tilted and she squinted ahead of her. If she wasn't mistaken...that looked like...Buzzard? Hmm, he didn't usually fly in winter, did he? Maybe she should go see if he was alright..

((I think once Sol finds out she was betrayed and lied too again, she's going to snap. And yeah, they're in so much trouble. XD But hey, it'll be awesome trouble.))
Solara grinned, pleased. "A mirror of some sorts. Not sure how we'll find it, but once we have a large number of Dusk, we'll find it, by sheer number alone." She looked at her sun, and extinguished it, allowing dark to fall over the area she was in. Dusk.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Buzzard grinned. The memories wouldn't stop taunting him, memories he had spent six long years locking away - and for what? Nothing. He noticed the sun turn dark and let the flames on his back fall to a dull blue glow, and he spun toward the forest. Thoughts in his mind that he assumed were his own prompted him on. He didn't notice Aeris.
The Sinistra had momentarily withdrawn from Solara's mind, though she could still clearly feel it now that she had gained access to it. She whispered in Buzzard's mind, fueling the rage.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
The psyceon carefully searched with her senses, avoiding anything that was remotely like a Dawn's mind. The Dusk had to be out there somewhere. Anger and anticipation made her move, think quickly. Regret and suspicion was a fleeting thought, easily thrown out. "I suggest we check the old base. Maybe a few Dusk lingered, and if not, we may find something useful."

Aeris frowned as she watched Buzzard. Something seemed off about-Eep! He took off! She flicked her tail, then her wings flared up before the pushed down. She shot forward, taking after the Charrosaurus as fast as she could. She wanted to keep him in her sight, but not let him notice her. Yet, at least.

Nothing was the same as he remembered. How much time had past?
The Magi had already begun to move. Leading others to find the mirror, but that was only the first step to reclaiming what was one theirs.
The lost mirror was calling to them. Leading them onwards, but he had other tasks. An army would need weapons, armour, anything left from the age lost long ago.
Although weaker, these ancient devices still exsisted. It would be harder to track them down but necessary none the less. Yet hands were still need to hold and move such items and a body to possess. Perhaps it was time to take a page from Sinistra's book.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
In a not too far woodland, a small figure pounced his way though the snowfields bewteen trees, fur the colour of burnt umber making the small being incredibly easy to spot amidst the white snow. Tail wiggling, the little fox-like pokemon leapt up into the air, crashign down wiggling into a snowdrift, pulling himself out after a while.
"I know I smell berries around here somewhere!" Asher called out, nose to the snow. "I just can't seem to find them."
Over to the side, laying under a snowcovered tree, was an aqua-coloured Vaporeon, watching the eevee with a contented grin on her face. "I smell them too little guy, keep hunting and you'll find them." Venin responded to her cub, watching the small pokemon with a tint of pride. He would be a good hunter some day. Or at least a good berry picker.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Buzzard nodded, then asked, Do you need a ride? I can carry you, or follow you as you run. He felt strangely refreshed to be working with his sister again. Memories of working together for the greater good raised up in his head.
He hadn't noticed Aeris yet, turning and heading towards Solara.
The Sinistra was very happy with her work. She settled back, watching the minds work. Every now and then she shot forward, extending her mind to unlock a memory. She didn't even need to control them, they did it all themselves!
The presence of the Dragonite was irritating, though. She reached out with her psyche, scanning the defenses of this new mind.

Solara grinned. Familiar. Working with Buzzard...And now...The Voices had come back. To rewrite the past. To make everything right. The Dawn were never supposed to win. They were fixing fate. "If you'd like, I'd love a lift. We'll move faster that way."

Aeris kept her eyes locked on Buzzard, glinding as much as she was flying. She had no idea what he was up to but she would find out.
She felt an annoying itch at the back of her mind and growled low, her nose wrinkling. Ohhh she hated when someone went into her brain! It sent shivers down her spine and through her tail. Oh crud, her tail. She squealed as she was sent into another spin as the large muscle twitched. Dang it!

((Hey look, finally a reason for me to post! XDDD And yes, I have been doing something else.. DRAWING!
Also, Moon, I TOTALLY love the fact that Asher is a Delta Species. It's so stinkin' ironic XD))
Phantom padded over to Venin, the fire around his paws melting the snow where he stepped. He took a glance over at Asher, then grinned. "And there he goes again. Always running around, exploring." He commented, letting out a chuckle.

Re: Vengeance of the Soultakers
Buzzard twitched as he heard a squeak, one wing snapping straight out to spin him on his axis. He growled instinctively, but a commanding instinct told him not to attack or carry out any threats. He eyed Aeris cautiously. "Why are you following me?" he asked, trying to keep his voice even.
The Sinistra paused, then reached forward again to prod gently at the mind. Her touch wasn't threatening or aggressive, just curious. She would let the Dragonite know that she wasn't a threat... yet...

Aeris gave her tail a glare before she looked at Buzzard. Her head tilted and she felt that little itch again. Starting to get annoying. "I saw you outside. I know the cold doesn't bother you but I don't usually see you flying out in the winter. You..kinda looked upset." She frowned a bit, hoping she wasn't wrong. "Are you alright?"
