This is how i feel, we should all just put water over this fire and move on. It was noones direct fault. Everyone gets excited when a rare is being tamed, wheater it be old school or new, them self or a guildie :) its a exciting moment. Yes it does stink when they die, IE: by another player or by sheer accident which is what happend with KK.. The whole lol he is dead thing, i think if the person said it toward KK, 20 to 1 he had to noide what went down and was just seeing scanner in gchat saying he was dead.

On camping: i think we all know what it is like to camp a rare and have it killed or log on a min. to late. I know i have had it happen with Pogyen.. supid cat ._. like said before, on rares noone is entitled to i get it cause i been here longer.. if that is the case.... i should of had tlpd... a long time ago xD but i still have not gotten him. now if someoen knows u are camping and been there and been there and it spawns then yes it would be nice to let the person know who has een there all day hey he actully spawned * this spot here* other than that as sadi

" Its first come, first serve"

everyone has valied points i say we all just let it go and move on :)

And for shits n giggles

AHH I wasn't responding to Ryno's original post, i still dont really know what happened.

If theres 2 guildies camping for said rare at the same time, whomever was there first should have dibs on the rare (is what I go with). If thats what happened with a couple guildies camping together and one simply swooped in to tame a rare without saying anything... thats uncalled for and shouldn't be allowed whatsoever
It actually wasn't that. I want to avoid airing dirty laundry in public channels, but long story short a guild member wanted a certain color of Madexx, said guild member was camping for 12 hours straight (I helped and so did several others). Said guild member logged off and a non-guild member tamed a different color Madexx spawn. That's what I've gathered. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think that just means you shouldnt camp something for 12 hours straight. Does funny things to people.

Heck if they logged off its their loss ultimately, not the others' blame.

I really hate the concept of Madexx personally. Its Blizz's way of (lets make the hunter community turn on each other and grow insane) by making a multiple color rare spawn in a highly traveled area. Camping for a week or two for TLPD didn't make me go as crazy as Madexx has with some people.

Dirty laundry was already aired with this thread. I'm just trying to get some clarification to make sense of why exactly someone would be pissed off at a guildie for allowing Madexx to be tamed by a friend while the 12-hour camper was taking a break offline...

Hey, you guys should consider yourselves lucky that <Petopians> is such a helpful guild. Sometimes rares get accidently killed, sometimes a guildie who didn't know you were camping for it tames it first. It's not like they're vindictively killing/taming "your" rare on purpose.

On Alterac, the only other hunter in my guild (who isn't my alt ;P) spends pretty much all her time in the battleground, so I have absolutely no help when it comes to getting pets, unless I can nag my bf into helping me, and since he's a different class, I know he finds it tedious. I don't have Silverdragon or NPC scan either, so the rares I've managed to find have been due to patience, a lot of mousing over little dots on the mini map, and dumb luck. I wish I could have 15-odd guildies helping me out with a rare hunt! For example, I'm shocked ppl here have managed to see Maddex multiple times. Nothing but vemonhide scorpids on my end!

Come to think of it, I should get Toeph leveled so I can help out too. :) Anyway, be grateful that we're part of such a nice, helpful, understanding guild, one that helps with hunts, one that will never, ever accuse you of being a "stupid huntard" for wanting a certain pet.
