If that's what Blizzard is saying, THEY ARE MISSING THE POINT. The realm's activity has been DISRUPTED SEVERELY for a considerable amount of time. This is a glaring problem and they're not addressing the issue at all. You wouldn't be looking for a character transfer IF THEY WOULD STOP THE JACKASS IN THE FIRST PLACE. If they CAN'T DO IT, then they should let you all off-server for free. Period. Sure, it's not their fault someone is abusing the system, but it is THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to fix it. Such terrible PR.

Spoken English issues or not, sometimes getting someone on the phone makes more of a difference. I dunno, you can't be the only person from the EU side who's needed to talk to someone on the phone.

*mutters*

I have another idea. Have you posted on the Blizzard forums? Much as I don't want to see other griefers pick up this torch, it might be a way of saying HI BLIZZARD, WE'RE AN ANGRY MOB AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS BULLSHIT ANYMORE.

Stupid GMs. Not acknowledging an obvious problem, thats just ignorant.
However, I'll make an alt on TM, and check in every now and then to see if the problem is gone. We want our Safri to stay..
Um I'm sorry but I have to take the GM's defense here- you don't have a char on the server and you could just be saying this to the GM. The GM could get into trouble for magically handing out a FCM, if they even can do that. They're only able to do what is within their power, and even that takes time.

I'm standing up for them as even while there are stupid ones- we got several glorious ones when Aria's account was hacked, her characters stripped nekked and our guildbank completely and utterly wiped clean.

I'd suggest the better way to do this is to go to the Support forums and report this problem. Possibly get names of the people who might be causing this server to crash via their actions and putting them up. Or attempting to get an SS or two of them in action.

Actually, my ticket said that I was supporting the people on TM, not just a single person. I even wrote that I don't have any characters there, I said straight out in the ticket that it was an open protest.

And I can certainly understand why the GM wouldn't give me a transfer, but if one person would do this, just to cause a ruckus for everyone else, which I wrote in my ticket, then blizz really should allow free transfers. It was certainly an understanding GM, he helped fix the broken quest I also complained about, and he told me a GM joke. But still, it saddens me a bit to see someone like Safri go, probably a full server in protest, and Blizz refusing to acknowledge the problem. /sigh

I'm with Saturo in that most of the GMs I've had have been wonderfully sympathetic, but unable to help. A number of them also don't read the tickets thoroughly, regardless of how clearly you state your problem/request.

Sadly no news things getting better. There haven't been crashes at nine in the evening I think but we have world servers going down now. Azeroth being the most crash downtime but Northrend seems to hold up with Outland close behind.

First of all, I somehow can't imagine that one single person can crash a realm, especially not by using a macro.
The macros are pretty safe, Blizzard saw to that.

Second, Blizzard is a very large company. So they move very slowly. This is, especially in the service section, not a good move but my experiences with them have shown me that they actually do something for their customers. Sure, they don't give out FCM or are very helpful with role playing related tickets, but everything on the technical side is being looked at as fast as possible. Maybe it's got nothing to do with the fishing tauren (Which also makes me wonder how a level 1 toon can fish in the dalaran fountain were you need a rather high fishing skill. Or did they change that, too?) but some problems they can't find? Maybe 4 people are analizing your realms data every day to find the problem?
On my "home" realm, the horde can't win TW right now. We fight, we win, the keep stays alliance. It's pretty annoying and we're the only server who has this problem. Do you really think, Blizz would ignore something like that? Will I quit because of that? No.

Third, I can understand your frustration. But quitting WoW will have no impact whatsoever on Blizz. Even if 1000 people would quit WoW, they wouldn't realize it on their bank accounts. But it will have an impact on you, as your (I presume) favorite game is gone and you can't play it anymore. Quiting out of frustrations hurts you more then them. If you'd quit because you don't like the game anymore, I'd second your decision without hesitation. But shouting in anger, throw a tantrum, leaving forever and slamming the door will be very annoying, when you come back, believe me... And your not done with the game, you'll come back, I guess.

So, take a deep breath, take a break from WoW for a few weeks, play some other games and then let's see what happens...

They changed fishing completely. You can now fish anywhere, regardless of skill. Under a certain skilllevel per zone, however, you'll just catch trash.

And yes, it is possible for a single person to crash a complete server. Just check MMOwned, they have a long list of this crap.

Heh well I didn't believe in that server crash with macroes until I saw it with my own eyes. It's kinda a laugh worthy...one little macro could crash one big server and break the whole thing even. We had people stuck in dungeons/raids (they could not log back onto that character without a GM aid), arena not working and battlegrounds not working either.

Just means I'll play around with my horde more I guess.

Mm, I agree with Karathyriel (though he put it a bit more bluntly than I would xD).

The thing is, I can't imagine letting go of those characters that you've devoted so much time into. I really don't think you're quite ready to quit the game yet. I can completely understand taking a break to cool off, but I wouldn't do something as drastic as canceling your account and swearing never to return.

I'm sure you'd miss it more than you're assuming right now. I'd highly recommend to just keep submitting tickets and try giving them a call. They can't ignore the problem forever, and maybe it's just taking a bit of time for them to investigate it.

Either way, I know I'd miss WoW like crazy if I suddenly quit, so just think it over a bit first.

Yea, I see where you both are coming from and it's a good point. Maybe I will take a month or two off from WoW and come back when I've calmed down a little AND gotten a brand new computer. (Have over 300 euros for it already, out of the 500€ I'm paying myself. <3)

That sounds like a solid plan. :) I'm sure right now the frustration of not being able to play properly and the aggravation of trying to deal with the Customer Service has you pretty worn out. If you give it some time and take a break not only will it calm you down but you also might come to realize how much you miss it, and when you come back it will be with a renewed desire to play.

I used to constantly go through periods where my interest in the game declined so much that I hardly touched it for weeks at a time. Then, suddenly, I'd find myself craving to play, and I'd be right back in there. I haven't felt bored with the game since I joined the forum here and the guild, so that's really sparked my interest again. :D

Hopefully everything works out for you, and maybe when you return they'll have the problem fixed!

New news from TM: now the whole battlegroup is breaking down! Just about every Misery realm is jumping between offline and online. >.<

At least the issue has been a bit better lately, there's just around a 50% chance that the server will go down, 25% that it'll just lag like hell for half an hour and then be like nothing happened or 25% that there's nothing wrong.

It has gotten pretty clear that someone is attacking the server from outside the game. Otherwise Blizz would've already caught the people responsible for this and/or fixed the exploit.

Well, maybe there's a bright side? If the whole Battlegroup is shutting down, you'd think Blizzard will HAVE to make fixing it a priority? Maybe?

*nods* If the problem's escalated that much I agree with Dragonpuff...Blizzard can't ignore something that's shutting down an entire Battlegroup. I'm sure it's high on their priority list now. :)
