Yeah, sometimes I trust the datamining more than the blue posts... Especially in beta, where the Blues might not know everything the dev team is doing (unless it's GC posting).

Thanks I'd posted about the amber scorpid elsewhere but I couldn't get WMV to render the mount version, so I'd been wondering what the seat looked like.

Looking at the videos on MMO-Champ, I don't like the Yak at all. From the direct we'll see it when actually using it, it's rather boring, and you can't even see your toon. Crane is better, but very bouncy, like the tallstriders.

The scorpion, however, lets you see your toon, and it moves nicely without making you seasick watching it. I hope it's available for alliance.

I'm more inclined to think it'll be from a dungeon, or from one of the world bosses. They're each supposed to drop a mount.

Hrm, I'd say not based on the fact that that would be *WAY* too many JC mounts in comparison to other professions.

Also, still waiting to see what this expansion's rare spawn mount is. Since there was one in WotLK and *three* in Cataclysm, I'm expecting one for sure!

I wrote on Sam's thread a few days ago (The 'ode to cloud serpents' one.) about why I thought the next mount rare spawn will be a cloud serpent. It seems very likely, basically, and I would love to see it happen. I love having things in the game that you don't 'have' to do but are there as an option.

I think this clears up the onyx panther being the RAF mount debate? Looks like well have to wait and see what it is for sure.
