Not technically a mount but this site has more pictures of the new ghost wolf for shamans.

Those iron horde wolves don't look like they'd be terribly comfortable to ride. Too easy to lose a limb on a buzz saw! The chromatic chimera looks a little like a muppet mount, I hope it's not a store mount, it could be fun to farm.

My shammy will be so happy! And the spectral one looks amazing. I wonder if there's a chance we'll get it as a SB.Scarlet wrote:Not technically a mount but this site has more pictures of the new ghost wolf for shamans.

Re: Possible new mounts in WoD
Updated the OP with the new chromatic chimaera and Iron Horde Wolf models. We have no idea if or when they may be used at this stage.
One thing that excites me about the chimaera is that it represents a new mount style that has none of the armour and machinery of the Skyreaver. As a fan of mounts with less bling, I really hope we see more colours in this style.

Re: Possible new mounts in WoD
This is purely guessing of course, but I'm thinking the yeti mount might be from the black market AH? And only from there, similiar to how there's weapons only ever available from there currently. Since the BMAH is moving, what better way to move all that stuff than with a big yeti to carry everything? And it would explain what a Pandaria yeti is doing on Draenor ^^
But again, just speculation on where it might come from.

I have a Tumblr!
I no longer main my Hunter; Legion changes have unfortunately put me off from the class. However I still plan to stick around for the community here ^^

Interesting idea, I'd be after that if it showed up there.Melissa wrote:This is purely guessing of course, but I'm thinking the yeti mount might be from the black market AH? I hope some drop from dungeons. I miss farming dungeons for mounts... MoP only had raid drops, which was a shame.

Myself included. I was a little sad that there was zero mounts from 5 man raids this expansion. We have literally had them every expansion accept MoP, and some truly amazing and unique ones too.Lupen202 wrote:I hope some drop from dungeons. I miss farming dungeons for mounts... And at the exclusion of the Alani (grind fest) and the WarBringers (RnG Fest) there was a distinct lack of 100% mount dropping, super rare spawns to hunt. (TLPD, Poseidus, AAeonaxx) Love them or hate them, it was still something I found missing this exp.

Hopefully they'll have one or two of these come WoD

Oh yeah, I guess the Primal Eggs could be classified a "Rarish" drop, but again not super hard/lucky to get... oh and then there RNG of getting the right colour out of it

Re: Possible new mounts in WoD
idd I got extremely lucky with those eggs I think I only had 1-2 duplicate colors. The eggs always dropped withing 15-20 mins or so (and I am sitting at 1900 bones total atm)SpiritBinder wrote:Nachtwulf wrote:there's also the raptors (RNG and grinding). But I do hope we get some dungeon rare mounts it always gives the incentive to keep going back there.

Re: Possible new mounts in WoD
I was pretty disappointed in dungeons this xpack. no new ones, no mounts and by the end of the xpack we really, really out geared them and the blues that dropped. Of course there was a lot of focus on 3mans and solo events and of course challenge modes so maybe its not fair to complain about the difficulty but the lack of a new fight was annoying. I am really, really bummed that there was no heavenly jade serpent mount off the third boss in jade temple. its one of my favorite and it never made it into the game.
as for the rare spawn mounts I won't complain too much. sure the rare spawn mounts are much more common than previous ones like time-lost but I am willing to get over that just to avoid the misery of camping. I really don't miss camping after the nightmare with aeonaxx. Killing huolon and warbringers felt more rewarding in terms of items gained when the mount did not drop. Alani was pretty intense but at least I gained gold from every mob that failed to drop a shard. I certainly didn't earn 30k camping aeonaxx that's for sure.

Re: Possible new mounts in WoD
Yeah I like Huolon's mount camp more than TLPD and Aeonaxx. That's saying a lot considering I have all three. I wasted 6 months camping for TLPD. Never. Again.SylviaDragon wrote:I was pretty disappointed in dungeons this xpack. no new ones, no mounts and by the end of the xpack we really, really out geared them and the blues that dropped. 5 black raptors in a row. Gave up on ever seeing the green one!SpiritBinder wrote:Nachtwulf wrote:there's also the raptors (RNG and grinding). It took me so farking long to get my white raptor. x__x

Tusk!

Real savage-like!
Added to the list.
This is definitely Iron Horde-style art. In fact the model is called "IronHordeElekk", so I don't think we'll see Draenei NPCs riding these. That leaves me to hope that we'll see a regular mount version yet.

Interestingly, the skin under the armour is just a wild elekk skin, albeit a very cool one:

It'd look great roaming the ice and lava around Frostfire Ridge or something.

I swear on Green Jesus if the Horde gets access to an armored Elek Alliance better get access to an armored wolfWain wrote:Tusk!
