Re: New family : Feathermanes

Spirit raptor... name is Gon. Raptor loa is Gonk, worshipped by the Zandalari.. so could be a hint. But again, friend & I have checked all Zandalari areas (Isle of thunder, isle of giants, outside MSV, outside ZA, etc.), as well as other troll/raptor areas like Zul'drak, STV, Gorgrond, arathi highlands, hinterlands...
I'm also pretty depressed the spirit gryphon isn't on the mountain next to Kirthaven in Twilight highlands - it's so perfect! Lots of graves with gryphon feathers strewn about.
I also don't know what their timers are and all these restarts could be messing them them. Or they have a summon like Snowblind and I'm just blind.
P.S: If anyone wants a place they can use to chat together and share ideas, etc., you're more than welcome to use the Secret finders discord. It's been used to hunt down other secrets like the Long-forgotten hippogryph and Kosumoth, so why not hunter pets as well?
Edit: And the only tameable saddled gryphon is in the DK starting zone. Thanks Blizzard

Also, it is entirely possible that we can't find them in the ptr. It was impossible to find Kosumoth and the Long-forgotten Hippogryph during Beta because the means to spawn them weren't added till live in order to prevent them from being found early.

I really hope to goodness they tell us if this is the case to prevent people from wasting hours (plural) on the PTR. Total dick move if not. I'm still miffed about the Lost Hipp mount thing. Spent soooo much time on beta about that.Valnaaros wrote:Also, it is entirely possible that we can't find them in the ptr.

Re: New family : Feathermanes
What about Dun Morogh, Loch Modan, Searing Gorge and the Badlands?? They're all part of Khaz Modan so heavy dwarf influence /story.
For the raptor what about the Echo Isles?

Echo Isles is a possibility, but dangerous to Alliance. Most of the isles, if not all, are occupied by Horde npcs that'll spawn lvl 120 guards.

That makes it adventurous though!Valnaaros wrote:Echo Isles is a possibility, but dangerous to Alliance. Most of the isles, if not all, are occupied by Horde npcs that'll spawn lvl 120 guards.

Re: New family : Feathermanes
I checked ghost lands, both plaguelands, tirisfal, hinterlands, arathi, wetlands, loch Modan, dun morogh, twilight highlands, badlands, gorgrond, tanaan jungle, kunlai (by isle of giants), thunder isle, felwood, feralas, azshara, suramar, azsuna, valsharah, broken shore... but no signs of kitten, purple hippo, corrupted, spectral raptor or spectral gryphon.
Friend of mine checked stv, ice crown, dragonblight (bunch of spectral gryphons on the coast), echo isles, zul'drak, storm peaks, shadowmoon valley (new and old), hellfire peninsula and double checked a lot of the zones I had been in.
Of course like I said I was spamming macro flying around, so I cold have easily missed an item if it was used to summon, though certain spots I thought were more fitting I tried to pay extra attention to. Nada.

Re: New family : Feathermanes
As sucky as it would be I almost have the sneaking suspicion (like already said) they're just not in yet. If these are quest related like Gara I could see it taking some time to fully implement.
My bet on the corrupted hippo is outland Shadowmoon Valley. Probably wrong but it's a great place for it. Or that demon forest place (can't remember the name) is the Blasted Lands.
Is the large island of the coast of Feralas accessable?

Re: New family : Feathermanes
suggestions for spectral pets : halls of valor, maw of souls, black rook hold and the new kharazan? place is full of ghosts and the dead, the halls of valor even has it's own zone for dead pets, where you fight fenrir.
suggestions for the corrupted hippogryph : darkheart thicket, arcway, you could also try in outland ( and on old Draenor in tanaan jungle ) near alliance bases for them and mayyyyybe caverns of time in mount hijal near the night elf base

as for the spirit raptor ( sooo glad we finally get a spirit raptor, sooo sad it is not fel corrupted since this is a demon infested expansion it was one of the few chances we could get to have a fel raptor pet

try searching on isle of thunder in the troll camps, the barrens and in ungoro ( the place has been getting lots of attention from blizz lately, new hearthstone expack, ungoro mini event in the summer and all that )
also is oondasta or any other armored dino ( direhorns too ) tameable yet?

Re: New family : Feathermanes
There isn't anything in the Halls of Valor. I checked earlier this week and Fenryr is still untamable. I doubt they would put something in current content. Old content, sure, but not something relevant and in the way.
As I have said, the Corrupted Hippogryph would have to be in Suramar due to it being Elisande's pet.
The Isle of Thunder, Barrens, Un'goro, etc have already been searched by Lupen, myself, and others. Nothing. We are starting to believe that, like others things this xpac, that we can't find them till Live.
Sadly, no, they aren't tamable yet :/
