Exactly my words when I was trying to get my dad to drive me down to the local EB Games for the shiny beasts.
Only it was even more obscure. I think I went something along the lines of "Oh, there's this thing you can download that gives an upgrade to your game. Yes. Upgrade. Um, a special upgrade that hardly ever comes to Canada. What game? Erm, um, uh, Pokémon.

...Yes, the upgrade is a special Pokémon."

Followed by my dad chuckling, shaking his head, driving me down there, and giving me eyerolls as I cower in the corner downloading and praying that no one I know comes in and sees me.

lol Mako, that sounds hilariously-awesome. I obviously never get to go to any events, but if I did, i'd imagine it would go something like this:

I wish I could actually SEE what I was missing rather then have to guess at what went wrong...so, less then thrilled with that atm.

Aaaanywho.... For some reason, my Diamond game won't let me delete any of my wonder cards.. So..... I wasn't able to get a Shiny Suicune in that game. So.. 7 Suicune it is.. It'll be the same for Celebi.. But oh well.. >.>

umm just a thought but have you picked up the pokemon that the wondercards are for from the guy at the mart?

It might be that I didnt do the vitamins first, so the game still thinks that they need the extra 200 from those, but because I've done the EV training for the 152/152/6 spread, it wont let me do vitamins...thats my only guess. So I'll try doing that extra 100/100 through EV instead and see if that works.
I saved my game before trying some other vitamins and I could use 2 diff types 10x, so...might be it...ah, joy.

So...in my frusteration at the EV training, all that time and sweat for..."you need to work harder" I thought...screw that...Lets see what the internet has for AR EV codes...
Well, looks like I can get EV training done now in under 2min...why I never looked for that code before I do not know lol!!!

Makes Vitamines give 252 EV in stat instead of 10 lol, so...yeah...
Testing it out on a lv 1 Flygon atm, atk/spd, then just killed two mew for the 6hp toss away values, went to the lady and she gave the flygon the effort ribbon. Going to check with Exp. mod to lv it up fast to check stat growth.

**Edit: Hmmm well, a Gentel natured, Sturdy bodied Flygon at lv 26 has: 78 hp, 76 atk, 47 def, 52 s.atk, 58 s.def, 78 spd...I think this code works and is PURE AWSOME!!!!!!!!

I used to get that happen to me a lot, sometimes it was that I forgot to give them 10x of a specific vitamin beforehand, or that I was multi-tasking (left-right-left-right in the grass while watching a movie) and I lost count and came 1 kill short; in which case I just decided which stats were most important and then I killed 1 of each EV-giving pogeymon (Usually HP > def/s.def > attack/s.atk/spd.) XD

I so do not miss EV grinding.. Sheesh. So many hours spent... So many thumb-cramps.. >.<;

I wish they'd get around to releasing a game (or set of 3 ar per norm) that actually connects the regions of the previouse games. If each game in that series had 3 regions, that'd be a total of 9 regions. Or Even make it for the Wii, the complete pokeworld, and you can import or copy pokemon from your game to the pokeworld and then either use them or have to find those pokemon in your travels.

Not only that but to incorperate the best of all the games together, like berry planting/bushes, apricorns, pokemon following you, seasons, pokemon flying overhead, pokemon walking around the game world, etc. And there'd be an online coliseum for wi-fi battles, and a trade center. You could have your secret base, and when you connected with people, your secret base would show in thier game. Flying/surfing etc would actually show the correct pokemon using the ability :3

Actually, if they made a Wii game that had all the regions, and all pokemon available somehow, I'd have a use for my Wii other than Coliseum and other old GC games... xD

So I've encountered a problem... I don't have a single pokemon that can even LEARN Psychic on my FireRed team, but I NEED something to deal with these pesky Weezing/Koffings, as I don't see wasting my Charizard's Flamethrower twice on them to wipe them out as incredibly resourceful, and obviously Ground attacks don't work due to Levitate...

The problem is that the closest pokemon that can learn Psychic I currently have in level is my Lapras at 25 (My current highest is 38 Char., as I restarted the file and am still working through badges). I really want to keep my Vaporeon as my water Pokemon however...

My team is Charizard 38, Pidgeot 36, Nidoking 35, Raichu 36, Nidoqueen 35, and my Vaporeon 33.

I was really set on keeping this as my main team, but with all the Rocket Grunts LOVING the Weezing, I am in desperate need of a pokemon that can at least USE a Psychic attack.

So, should I drop my Vaporeon for the Lapras, suck it up, and train it? Or should I replace a different Pokemon, or not at all?

I actually had a talk with some guildmates the other day about a Pokemon MMO. Would they be able to pull it off if they made it similar to WoW? I know they could easily make a good Pokemon MMO, but the issue is the cash cow they've sadly turned the series into. :< Honestly, as much as I will not bash an generation... I do feel they're really only making them, not to expand the series... But to milk more money off of it. =/ Really, adding all the regions in the game would make a good game and as Grimlion added, if they made it for the Wii, you could have online play and battles like PBR. So you'd have your usual single player mode and then the optional online play! ...Although they could still make it for the DS and allow the transfer between that and the Wii.

They could pull off an RPG single player mode with online multiplayer battles, but an MMO is pretty much out of the question, considering the number of regions and the number of pokemon, and the fact that they would need to patch the game every so often in order to host things like tournaments, ect. excluding addons and screenshots, my WoW folder is roughly 30gb.. I dunno how they'd pull off a decent MMO on a Wii disc (are they 4.7gig?) which has a pitifully small amount of built-in memory (you have to use a SD card for any decent storage space, which kind of sad...) and a compact GPU that's already a handful of years old and struggles with the "fire" effect on Mario Party 8. =P

If it were on the PC then yeah it would have a much better chance, but I can't imagine nintendo making a game for PC when Microsoft(xBox) is their competitor.. It would've been nice, though... </3

Dont know whats going on at the one in my town but just got told its not starting till the 9th...but Seribii has the event from the 30th-7th...so thats way off.
