I'm in love with the white Rylak too. I do believe I'll be picking that colour, instead of the tan one

Just one.Ickabob wrote:So there is at least ONE armored Rylak that we can tame?
Darktide Roost, Shadowmoon Valley. Go to the back of the island, and look for a ramp up. Once you reach the top (big rylak being tortured), aggro the goblin. Run to the cliff across from where you arrived, and you'll see "Thunderlords Rylak". It's the same model as the Skyreaver mount, as Wain said.

Tainted Lightwing moth in SMV does not keep it's effect. 8( However, it's a lovely blue/white moth when tamed.

Even if all of the adults are carrion birds, if there's that one odd chick I can actually have for raiding in the event the versatility buff isn't covered... I'll be very happy.

The changes to pet families thread is probably a better place to discuss that further.

Seeing as I've been playing with my new feathered friends all day, I had an epiphany; what if Teroclaw Chick came in colors matching the Teroclaw, Hen-Mother, and Kil'uun?
Maybe one day, but having bearded vultures and dino-like versions is definitely worth the pondering.

I was content though considering I could at least have it as a pet. And now the pet version is removed too?

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
You may only be able to tame it before completing any of the Nagrand intro quests. When I go there on my manually leveled hunter, they are nowhere to be found. When I go on a fresh 100 premade, they are there. The Savage Warwolf corpse also correlates with this. The corpse can be found at the top of the waterfall you walk across to get there. No corpse = no spawned wolves it seems?
If this stays like this, your only opportunity to tame may be before doing the intro quests. This is Alliance... are the horde intro quests somewhere else? Maybe it doesn't apply to horde?
Maybe someone else can verify what I'm seeing. I'll go take a screenshot to compare, edit this post in a few mins.
Easiest way to check is to turn off humanoid tracking and only leave beast tracking on, so you don't confuse it with all the mounted wolves.
EDIT:
Is anyone able to test this out? To see if I'm not going crazy
