True either way really. I used to be friends with someone I met on WoW, but as soon as I told him I'm a girl IRL he became savagely possessive of me. Didn't even let me talk to other people because he was "scared he'd lose me". I pity him, but I don't want to see him again.
Likewise I hate talking to strangers IRL. Over the Internet and chatting is fine, but since I was heavily bullied at school I tend to keep to myself.

The person below me has lost something only to never, ever find it again, even when they completely empty the room/place it was in last. I lost a Beanie Baby that way. :( We never found it, even after we moved out.
