Solaira's Pet Journal
Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
And what can I say. Sol has a thing for snakes? I like snakes? Red is pretty? And pfft. Dagger will -never- make himself useful.))
Dear Journal,
I was riding into Burning Steppes, I saw the weirdest sight. There were these two dragons, fighting in the sky. One was a black dragon, which was normal, but the other was a bronze dragon. The black seemed unsure of itself, halting and screeching. The bronze was bigger, but not by much. He hovered around, pulling loops around the black until it finally unleashed a gout of flames, which scorched off the bronze's scales. It felt weird too, the black moved so much slower than the bronze, maybe some sort of time distortion? Either way, after a few moments, both black and bronze dragon went down.
Anyways, I went to Flamestar Post, and that's when I noticed one of the men stationed there looked painfully familiar. Unless I'm blind, I was seeing Keeshan, all the way from Redridge. Which didn't make sense. He was dead! He drowned, I knew he was dead.
He recognized me off the bat as well, thinking I had died. Like in Redridge, he quickly gave me my orders: It was black dragon killing time. Moulton also wanted me to free dragon whelplings, so I went down there to check it out.
Both dragons and orcs were quick to die. Buzzard let out a horrible keening cry when he saw the whelplings, whirling and tearing at the face of the nearest keeper. I don't blame him, I hated seeing the whelplings like that too.
We also saw a black drake. It was too big to be the one the bronze had taken down earlier, but nonetheless it was still a black drake.
Easy to kill. We freed a red, a green, and a blue whelpling. The bronze dragon looked at us, head tilted and squeaked quietly that his name was Attodormu. He chirped and whirled frenziedly when he was freed, chattering with Buzzard, who replied in halting, unsure draconic.
The work gladly done, we returned to Flamestar Post. Keeshan also mentioned Troteman was here, and I couldn't help but grin. The Bravo Company was, more or less, back together once more. The next set of orders was to gather mud, worg hides, and scorpid barbs. The whelps were soon to be taken back to their respective Flights, which I was glad for. I'd hate to see them suffer, when they've done nothing at all to deserve being captured.
((Fun Fact for you: I've done this chain on my warlock before, who has not done the Bravo Company chain. Thereby, Keeshan didn't recognize her, mention Troteman, or talk about the Bravo Company at all. Because Sol's done that, it's more of a continuation of that, similiar to Drakuru in ZD and GH.))
So, we set to work, collecting mud, killing scorpions and exterminating wolves. Daray would gather electricity, and then unleash it on his victim, but I noticed every time he went to curl around on my shoulders, he'd make sure there was no lightning blazing on his wings. He was very polite about it, and always willing to strike and kill as I asked him. One wolf struck from behind and knocked me down. When I looked up, Daray had it in a stranglehold, slashing and biting with his fangs and jolted the creature.
Task done, we were off to see Gorzeeki Wildeyes at the Altar of Storms, on Keeshan's orders. Gorzeeki had been kicked out of his altar, and the warlock had all taken his stuff. So it fell on us to retreive said stuff. Figures. We found a clear glass orb on a warlock, and the slumber sand and fel slider cider were next to each other. I made sure to keep the sand out of my or Daray's eyes. Last thing we needed was to just fall over asleep.
Whoa. Quite an altar. We killed Ne'grosh the Shadow, and Gorzeeki gave us various supplies and stuff. We were on our way to Chiselgrip, which the Thorium Brotherhood were stationed.
Once done, we gave Thelaron Direneedle, a tailor, the pieces to our disguise. He somehow managed to fashion a disguise, and Keeshan looked a bit dismayed at the effort. A few dwarves laughed, but Daray gave a loud hiss and they promptly shut up. We also had orders to kill golems and kill dwarves, but I think the first thing I'm going to do is find a way to wash off all this mud and see if I can fix my costume soon. It really does look a bit, ah...
Yeah.

If you're talking about Attodormu, that's Lupis' fault. When she got to this part, she had Koz.Serendipity82 wrote:I see what you did there XD Excellent post as always Azu
If you're talking about Koz vs. Mafirion, well....
Koz: I was pretty awesome during that fight, thanks!
If you're talking about something else, then yay?

I think they passed through Loch Modan on their way to Dun Morogh. I think. So yeah, not much.

And as for Azzere, he's still around. I've tamed him on two different hunters (Rose's Firewing is Azzere). I think he was one of those rares that was missing at the start of Cata and got added back later.

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Dear Journal,
I've come to the conclusion that I wanted to stall death as long as I could, so I went for the Thaurissan dwarves and their golems first. Daray had trouble with the golems, he couldn't choke them very well, and my arrows didn't do much in the way to penetrate their thick hull. Buzzard helped though, by heating up its armor to softness and then directing my arrows to the weak spots. It was slow and impractical, but it did the job.
Savagable parts that weren't melted or battered would clatter off the golem when it was done. It wasn't too hard collecting everything, and we even found this one machine that was as gold as the sun.
It spat sparks as we got close, and I figured that if it was so different, it had to be special. And usually, when your enemies have "special" things, it means they're super destructive. Luckily, it seemed to forget its orginial protocol, so we were able to get the surprise on it, I suppose.
And of course, back we were to the not so forgetful golems.
Once we learned that frost traps make them brittle, our work went by much faster and we soon returned to Chiselgrip. Our next order, can you believe it?- was to ask the golems to fight us for practice. It involves a lot of squawking snakes and running around, but eventually we got the first golem trained. The guards were laughing at us, but a sharp hiss from Daray shut them up. One of the guards who had been sent from Thorium Point smirked, telling me that my new snake was quite a bit like my old. I told him Daray was a whole lot more active.
Finished, Daray and I knew we had only one place left to go. Pulling on my mask, we made our way to Black Tooth Hovel. We had to kill several marks, and polish boots. While neither sounded fun, I quickly changed my mind after watching Worgmistress Othana's demise.
Good doggies!
Our second mark was Gorlop, a huge ogre. I took one my barbs and stabbed him as well, and he plummeted into the lava.
((I found my new axe in a chest, and it is so pretty. :3))
The last guy turned me into a frog as I went down. Poor Buzzard and Daray looked so baffled, staring at frog me, then back at each other and growling at each other. They both seemed relieved when I was unhexed, and we continued to finish our boot polishing job. The worst part was sometimes spiders would crawl out with a vengeance. Daray would zap them, but it still made me nervous.
((Will be continued in next post.))
Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Done with spiders, our next goal was to call Kodos. It's like the Quartermaster is giving all the evil jobs to me. I'll have fun killing him later, when we get to sabatoge 'em. He's a jerk. The kodos themselves were pretty docile and were okay with going back. A few fought back, but Daray quickly taught them how much of a bad idea that was, and they turned tail.
We fled back to the Hovel, keeping the horn for our own purposes, which I approved of. Keeshan's next order was a trip to General Throg'izog, so I guess that was my next stop. So off we went. Turns out some hired goblins had brough a fire elemental, so I was to challenge it to a fight.
Piece of cake.
Our next mission was to discipline soldiers by smacking them with a club and to club the sergeants to death. They threatened to reveal me, so I was faster with my clubbing skills. I'll bet I could make a good rogue. The occasional minion got suspicious as well, but he died too. We're off to Morgan's Vigil, and we'll take a break there for a bit to clean out my armor, before moving out again.

And grats on your new axe.

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
I've found this pair (Daray and Buzzard) to be really interesting. They're very flappy-in-my face pets. And I apparently have a thing going for red reptiles, too. xD Buzzard, Dagger, and Daray?
Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Not much exciting happened while we were resting. Just...smoke and stuff. We got our next set of orders, anyways. Ash collection redux, gather flameflies, kill more worgs and destroy flamekin. Worgs were the first thing on the list, and the local pack was happy to oblige. You know, with that whole dying thing?
We came across the huge wolf, as well. It let out a furious howl, and charged, grabbing and pulling Daray down from the sky. He would've stepped on and squished him, but a well placed arrow got his attention. While Buzzard tore at its fur, the wolf chased after me.
Finally, we won out and the wolf fell dead. Once we had finished gathering choice wolf meat, we were off to slaughter the flamekin. They looked like giant, flaming imps. We killed eighteen of them and lugged their corpses back to be ressurected. Furthermore, we gathered 7 flameflies.
The crazy dwarf looked so happy when we gave him the flameflies, but only because Captain Winky the non-existant had "returned". I didn't see Winky, but he gave me a small flamefly to keep. It's now taking residence in my bag.
Keeshan and I had to kill some dragons and thin the black population (Fantastic!), destroy even more black dragons (Can you tell I'm thrilled?) and deliver the innocent whelps to a man who can care for them better than we can and take them home. That one bronze, Attodormu, is thrilled.
Our draconic leaders to kill were Tugnar Goremaw, Minyoth. Whelptamer Akumi, and Terromath the Seared. We also stopped by Acride, and let him have the dragons. The whelplings, freed, jittered about and crowed in triumph and joy.
Next, we had to deliever various things to several generals: Zi'lun, Neeralak, and Thorg'izog. While we were wandering for our deliveries (donning our disguises once more) an ogre saw through it and attacked us!
Keeshan and I went off to talk to Acride. Later, I heard about what happened to the generals. The imps woke up and scorched everyone, and the general couldn't focus, with an unfortuante slider cider incident. Most of the dragons had been slaughtered, thanks to us as well. And they had summoned a pit lord that wasn't in the mood to be subdued. Needless to say, the cowards fled. And then, Acride and I came to rain flames on the forces.
All that was left was to kill the Big Three. We killed the other two generals, and were off to hunt down the final demon. We did find the demon, he had been successfully killed.
I knid of felt bad for the Pit Lord. Its only crime in life was being unable to be bound or escape. Ah well, we still had an orc to deal with, so off we were. After dealing with the ogre hellhole, we found the General tucked away in his corner. So, we slaughtered him and returned to the Vigil. Troteman looked rather excited and proud, congratulating both of us for amazing work. He told us there was some extra supplies, so I managed to wrangle up a new belt in the process. Finally, though, I knew it was time to go and leave the Steppes behind. As I was saying my farewells, Daray gave me a soft, curious hiss and slithered through the silt to coil up besides Keeshan. He raised his head, tilting it a bit, and hissed again. Another clear message, he wanted to stay with Keeshan.
I agreed, figuring the snake would like the warm weather better, and he could see Dagger frequently, and keep the status of the orcs and Steppes up to date. So, leaving my two friends behind, Buzzard and I set off towards the Bogpaddle Bullet, where we would have to make a second delivery to the swamp.
So, off we were, yet again, on a stupid rocketship. Figures. Quick trip, and the rocket didn't blow up this time. However, they were suffering from an unfortunate crocolisk problem, so I was quickly hired to deal with a few of them. Finally chasing them off into the swamp, I was going to turn back when I saw the strangest creature in the world.
Needing a name for the giant teal bird, one of the guards looked at it and suggested I name it Ciro, after his grandson. The grandson supposedly loves bright colors, like teal and orange, so I decided why not? He's very vibrant. Anyways, I'm going to go rest, one of the crocolisks got me in the side with its tail, and it's sore as fel.

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal

I've seen Keeshan running around on Sethria's Roost for the Protectors daily a couple of times. That always reminds me of Sol's adventure in Redridge. Kinda makes me wish I'd done Redridge too but then things would get repeatative

Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
And yeah, uh...Turns out, I totally didn't realize Burning Steppes was over until it was over, and I was like, "Oh crap! What to do with Dar-Keeshan! Got it!" and that's how we ended with that. Ciro was just a matter of convenience. It was a new, bright pet in a dark zone I haven't tried. And the orginial Ciro, while four legged, is orange and bright blue, so that's why I figured he fit.
That's, uh, also two of Kira's PokeRP characters in a row. I'm still waiting for Hellfire. Hate the place, but the pet there should make Lupis happy.
Re: Solaira's Pet Journal
Dear Journal,
After successfully cleaning out all the muck, grime, and other assorted nastiness my armor had accumulated during my time in the Gorge and Steppes, I talked to the town's Trade Baron. After warning me about keeping any aggressions quiet or his bruisers would bash my head in, they set Ciro and I to work. Crabs had stolen some goblins' beer, and we needed to kill some lobster men and take their tails to eat. I never did like seafood.
After finishing with that, our next assignment was to kill more crocolisks and gather land mines that had been stolen and dropped. The Trade Baron assured me they were harmless. As I was leaving town, he started talking to his people about my chances. The numbers, by the way, weren't very good.
Another guy asked me to kill Swampstriders for their legs. I looked at him, and he looked at Ciro and got out his carving knife. Luckily, the bruiser who had named Ciro was close enough to yell at the goblin for threatening a hunter's companion. He suggested I gathered meat from the crocolisks instead and no one would know the difference.
We went out into the swamp, and Ciro and I developed a system to test the mines. He would find a mine, I would pick it with a long stick, and if it blew, then the tree and my stick would be roasted, but we'd be fine. If it didn't, we'd pick it up.
Done, the goblin decided that we were all done here, but now we had to go see Crazy Larry. However, once we're done, he promised to send supplies down south. Not sure what is going on down there, I figure I'll find out soon enough.
Crazy Larry wanted us to kill giblin and take bags from dead crew members. It seemed disrespectful, but that's the order, and who am I to question it, I guess. Well, Crazy Larry was so impressed with my efforts that he asked me to go onto the ship way out in the water and collect some goods. When I told him I would die of exhaustion before I made it, he suggested his son could take me across. I made the mistake of assuming his kid was a dolphin or a seal or had a submarine.
No, he shot me out there. With a cannon.
Collecting the goods itself wasn't difficult, though the giblins kept coming out of the cracks like bugs. Fighting our way through the swarm, we got what we needed and took the only practical way out. Another cannon. Then, I had to see an herbalist. That involved more cannons. There, she requested I killed some murlocs.
Oh, murlocs. How I severely dislike thee. The fishy peril dealt with, Ciro and I returned to Baba Bogbrew. At this point, I was feeling manipulated, frustrated, and the wet and salt from the sea was starting to bother me. She asked me to please take care of whatever was mind controlling the creatures of the sea before it got to them, and eventually, me. That was a good reason if I had ever heard one, so Ciro and I were off into the cave.
Er. What is that? I figured it was the thing to kill, so Ciro charged it. It began to rasp how I too would hear his call and join them. Thanks for the offer, but no. Baba seemed to know what it was, and she seemed curious. Furthermore, she asked me to kill some wind serpents for their hearts. That was saddening, bt she told me it was of utmost importance, and I didn't have much in the way of choice.
Ciro charged forth gleefully to attack, though Buzzard let out a confused little cry and perched on my shoulders, unsure as to why we were attacking the creatures that looked like Daray. I comforted him as best as I could, and we worked quickly.
It turns out the serpents came from that Sunken Temple I had noticed when I was last in the Swamp, and a green dragon had gone by. I was to go find him and help him. We found him, and he asked me to gather artifacts. His Flight once served here to protect the Temple, and instead were corrupted horribly. He gave me an Oathstone, binding myself to him so that we could communicate. He didn't dare try to venture into the Temple, as the corruption was meant for dragons. Luckily, I'm a mortal, but I was afraid for Buzzard. Itharius offered to protect Buzzard while I worked. Besides, Itharuis wanted to talk to Buzzard, claiming that it had been a long time since the green had spoken to a member of his sister Flight.
Thus, alone, Ciro and I ventured into the Temple. Dragons lurked at the bottom, guarding a pit of dragon bones.
Itharius wanted me to find and kill Priestess Udum'bra, so we ventured through the halls, silently. We killed him, and he asked us to destroy Blooderletter Gomora. The sight of dead drakes was a horrible one. The Green Dragons had done nothing to earn their fate, yet here was children of a Flight, all lying dead. He was quickly disposed, and Itharius nodded, glad. And so, he gave me my last task: To kill Jammal'an the Prophet. He warned me this troll was the fiercest, toughest yet, and it was likely I could fall. But he also said that I wasn't alone. The Green Dragonflight would help in any way possible.
He was in his hole, corrupting innocent whelps, still in their eggs. Ciro let out a shriek, charging forth. I readied my bow to fire, when he cast a spell and vanished. Itharius let us know he had fled, but now the dragon could enter the temple. He pulled us through the Emerald Dream to where he was, which was an extremely disorienting experience, and congratulated us for our service. Buzzard gave a content cry, landing on my shoulders and looking at Itharius carefully. Our next stop is Marshtide Watch, where the Alliance are fighting Horde.
((Continued.))
