Well - if the items turn out to be right - which could very well be - we have been wondering about the void lantern - and wanting to place something by Gara (which the effigy certainly seems to be one of the very few in game items that can be placed) - the berries were a drop and were part of it - then:

yes - once its all said and done - it certainly will be easier to do - if you know where to get the info. Yes - it is all somewhat abstract - though I can't say for sure until we see where the items all drop and if there is something to connect them by (or just one drop per zone) -

something to ponder - does the effigy get placed last - if so - do we need to find the lantern first: which by doing that part might actually point us towards collecting the items

In the end - we do not know how this will all pan out - even knowing what needs to be done - it could still be a cool event and storyline that nets us the Spirit Beast. I'm down for it - sick of camping Spirit Beasts after all these times -

Yep. At least now we have something else to work towards. Going to have to kill a ton of different mobs in different zones but... One of us will have to run into an item that is connected to the effigy sooner or later... Especially with so many hunters .. hunting. We have to find the crude effigy itself as well, no? So six items? Effigy, bone, fruit, bowl, incense, cloth...

Erm.

Not including the void lantern, wherever that is.

It'll be a lot of work but it'll give me something to do.

Going by the tracking quests (hidden quests to track your progression), the Effigy comes before the Void Lantern.

All I can say uselessx is that your information is anything but. Sounds like you've got the framework for what we need to do here.

I looked at the follower missions on wowhead and couldn't find anything, but I'm wondering if the void lantern could be a reward from a high level mission. Could be what Jeremy meant when he said level a bit more.

I wonder if the drops come strictly from the orc factions, testing that now on Shattered Hand mobs over at Spires.

Then maybe each item is simply a zone-wide drop from certain mobs? Worgskin camp is in Nagrand too after all, and the mobs there that dropped the fruit were orcs. With the bone, maybe any thunderlord orcs in FFR will drop it?

And that's what I was thinking Zgar. I can try and farm the shadowmoon orcs in SMV.

Also doesn't hurt to ask in general in each zone about the items. Maybe someone will have looted one from a mob, and that'd give us an idea of which zone drops what etc.

Crude Effigy just dropped off a Grom'kar Grunt in Gorgrond (west of Highpoint)

Haven't gotten anything from the Shattered Hand mobs, now that I think if it, it wouldn't make sense for any of those pieces to drop from them. Killed ~120 and didn't get a drop so I'm gonna move on to a different mob/zone.
