I have searched via the air countless times, so I thought maybe I could be more thorough on the ground. Whilst passing through the area east of Irongrove Retreat, I got attacked by Gloomfang. Whilst I was killing him, I was suddenly attacked by the Very Lost Feathermane Kitten...lol. I killed Gloomfang and almost killed the kitten by accident. Fortunately, I was able to tame him :D

After ~30 mins, I found him again in the same area. He is constantly in stealth, and vanishes after ~10 yards. Doesn't leave any tracks.
Ah one of those! What a pain :P

I do not recall, but I can doublecheck shortly.

Update: he is neither. Just a normal mob.

I do wonder where these things are. Soul with stormwind gear makes me automatically think of gryphon; I don't remember seeing any spirits added in 7.2? But I haven't quested through Broken shore yet, or done all the campaigns.

Could have to find his rider first, or for the corrupted maybe we need to redeem her first. Honestly just trying to think of anything possible.

The Nightborne Hunters are the new Troop unit for Hunters in 7.2.

As for the others, I can't say, though it is possible they're involved with the Broken Shore. I myself haven't done a lot of questing there.

Ah; campaigns definitely make things a lot harder since there's no way I'm going to know all the class quests lol.

That was painful...

Found Netherbeak finally, but not in the best way. Was flying from Dalaran to the western coast of Azsuna when I bumped into him. I was on autopilot at the time (was looking at the map) when Netherbeak suddenly spawned and killed me within a few shots.

After a found my corpse, I flew back to where I thought I saw him, but couldn't find him for five minutes. He is stealthed, and flies way above the very tall mountain in the middle of Azsuna (the one by Azurewing).

Took me a few tries to get him down to the mountain and to tame him. When I found him the second time around, I lost about a 1/4 of my health from just one hit. After a couple of deaths, I was able to get him down to the nearest piece of land, shot him, turtled-up, then tamed.

Damn nice find, seems to find all of these we just have to randomly stumble into them. Are the other two stealthed as well then? ><

Gosh, I hope not :/ Honestly, if I wasn't flying from Dalaran and to the location I was going, I wouldn't have found it. It is quite a ways above the mountain and stealthed. Takes a complete accident to find it.

Or three I should say, forgot about spirit raptor. At least a raptor stealthed among some undergrowth makes sense. But combing every inch hoping to bump into a stealthed npc is... not fun.

Guess I'll do another sweep later though; maybe Lalathin is flying high about nighthold stealthed as well. /shrug

If they are all stealthed (I hope not), we may need to organize a group to comb through zones.

Friend and I are going to hop on soon, but with the amount of zones it's going to be a huge pain. I still think Twilight highlands is most fitting for the gryphon though, to the point that if its not there I'll be mildly depressed. Grim batol is a former dwarf stronghold that's been abandoned (so a lost spectral gryphon left there makes sense), not to mention the peak next to Kirthaven with the graves. Then there's a bunch of abandoned/destroyed dwarf villages as well all across the zone.

I can't think of anywhere else with abandoned/destroyed dwarven structures. Though I still wouldn't rule out Dun morogh or even the coast of dragonblight with all the spectral gryphons. Some ghosts in Hellfire penninsula too.

In regards to the spirit raptor, it might be a longshot but could it possibly be related to the manga, CGI anime and upcoming film based around a small, orange, dinosaur-like creature of the same name? I've only watched the first episode of the anime but it already suggests, if it is true, one side or other of the Barrens as it features both forest and savanna. He absolutely adores eating so perhaps some kind of food might be involved, like a pile of fruit or something.

I saw adverts for the film and after seeing mention of a raptor named Gon, made me wonder.

Wow great work on Netherbeak! And I love the screenshot :)

I probably won't be able to update the website for a few days but I'll at least try to tweet about it.

Grats Val, and wow Netherbeak is hard to find, even when you know where to look. I took this screenshot to give an idea how far up he was when I found him, the structure is the where Tehd is. Oddly enough I would have missed him without sound. At one point I flew close enough that Track Hidden unstealthed him, but I did not aggro.
