I managed to trick a RL to let Stereo into a VoA 25, where I got a shiny PvP necklace which was far better than what I already had. There also dropped some T9 pants that I missed out on. Anyhow, I then managed to trick yet another RL to let me into a VoA 10, where I managed to top the DPS, despite having the without a doubt lowest GS. Showed them good. Got another necklace and T10 gloves. Also got a cape. Anyhow, these upgrades pushed my GS high enough to let me into HoR HC, where I got new boots and an Orca-Hunters Harpoon. My GS is now 4.8k, up from 4.1k.

The largest gear-upgrading spree I've ever had!
Also, hit a new record (for Stereo) in single-target dummy DPS. 4.7k DPS.
I then had some fun on Ovaktalo, having to explain to a tanking warrior what talents were, why he shouldn't be wearing cloth, and why we don't need on everything. After that horrid DM, I got into another RFC. Here I ran oom, so naturally I said "OOM, MB before the next pull". Tank doesn't listen, and rushes in and gets five or sonmobs on him. I barely get him trough it, and guess what he says. "idot y didnt u heal?". He then tried to votekick me. Good times.

I also got into a group as DPS, but I didn't notice until about halfway trough. The group quickly figured out that I was a better healer than the priest tough, so i took over the healing duties. The priest then stole my idea of the healerstab, where I drop a massive HoT on the tank, followed by rushing up at the mob and stabbing it my trash dagger enchanted for +1 weapon damage. Good times...

ick. Grats on the catch. Took me forever to get that one. I think I fished up all the coins from the fountain in the same time it took me to snag the rat... I promised myself that the next char wouldn't level their fishing up just to catch a damn rat or some silver coin... Instead, I fished from 415 to 450 in WG... At last count I had just over 200 fish feasts made from the spoils. Probably just as "useless" as fishing up a rat, but my RL sure does love me. Even made the macro "Epic's House of Sushi is now open for business!!!". One day, I hope to be as popular as Grocerydan... but that is a story for a different day.

Achieve-wise... uh... I gave up playing wow for lent... Haven't logged-in in weeks. I'd have given up WoW forum trolling, but... I prefer "reachable" goals :P
I don't really feel like this is so much the "Post-Modern" era as much as its the "Pre-Zombie-Apocalpse" era. I consider myself more of a forward thinking guy and an era that just won't die is just as feasible as a coming era, where the dead come back.

Haha! You just made my evening!

Hm. I don't have a wow-achievement. Does it count that I'm in the final edit of my dissertation? Every time I've finished an editing phase and sent it out to my committee members to read over, it's felt like a huge achievement! xD

Also, since it's with my committee members for now, I can work on making myself a wow-achievement tonight. :) Ideally taming Skoll, but yanno... I prefer "reachable" goals. ;)

Several personal achievements listed below:

Got to level 20 on Veejay, my latest Huntress alt.

Got the Ghost Saber on my 3rd Figurine. Brand new record! Last record was 22 figurines (set by the other Veejay, my Belf one on Icecrown).

Got it into my head I could survive running to EPL at level 20 completely naked (Ysera US, on my new Draenei chicka) for a Dragonhawk/Springpaw Cub.
Made it to Chillwind Camp before two bears and four spiders ate my face. First successful naked run 3/4's of the way to the Belf Starting Zone I've ever done. Normally the second I set foot out of Booty Bay I get my face melted off, so that was a personal "WOO HOO!" moment for me.

Got my Dragonhawk without having my horns taken clean off by the level 75 guards outside the Farstrider Enclave.

Broke 100g and soon after, traipsed back into the Auberdine Ruins and subsequently killed a rare that dropped a BoE Blue Ring.

It's been a darn good evening =D

Got Stereo her 2Piece T10, by a sanctified drop in VoA25. Four other hunters, all whispering me about buying it. No deal! Then I headed off to ICC25, we're I got Storming the Citadel. Awesome pug btw. I got a mark of Sanctification off of Deathbringer, and sanctified my gloves. I now also have enough emblems to buy a third piece of T10. I'm gearing up quickly... I was usually at fifth position in the DPS, and never climbed below ninth. Yay. That with just 4.76k GS. And I totally didn't die at the easy bosses. Totally not. Yup. Not once...

Wee, caught Azzere the Skyblade this morning for Gazini. ^^ All these stories and fan art about Wind Serpents lately gave me the craving to tame one, and I thought they would just fit perfectly on my Troll Hunter.

Went to the spot last night but he wasn't spawned, so this morning I quickly logged on before work and he started attacking me. xD The red really is stunning, and matches Gazini's hair. I've named him Jakuta which is the god of thunderstorms and lightning from African/Voodoo mythology.

I had a very productive weekend: Mania got her Loremaster's Colors, which gave her 25 Tabards, and since I was so close I went ahead and became a Seeker.

I am now feeling much more prepared for old Azeroth to crumble.

Congrats! That's a real feat!!! :D
I'm trying to do it on Sara, but I did so much questing when I was leveling that I'm finding it really hard to find the quests... Just downloaded Everyquest to see if it'll help. Did you use any addon or what was your trick, Mania?

Nice work! And yeah, ToC regular... *rolls eyes* I hated that place so much when I was farming the tanking trinket.

(A word of advice that you can take or leave as you like: dual wield death knight tanks get more out of slow dps weapons, like shammy maces, than fast defense weapons. If you're using them to hit def cap that's fine, but consider looking for slow replacements and getting your def rating elsewhere.)

Aye, I remembered reading somewhere what speed of weapon I wanted... something like it's a good inbetween if you get a slow main and fast tanking off-hand... but I'm desperately trying to add to my survivability now, so the two weapons I have now work, hehe.

Offhand and mainhand speed don't "balance" each other out. You want two slow weapons. But I totally understand the need to hit def cap. Tankspot has a great guide to death knight tanking. They explain why you want two slow weaps here. Happy reading. ;)

I looked into Everyquest but it didn't look like it would help me much.

Basically, I went one zone at a time, starting with the lower zones on each continent but not really being strict about order. For each zone, I opened up a map of the zone on Wowhead with Horde quest-givers marked, then ran to each of them to see if they had any quests for me.

If there wasn't anything, I assumed that either I'd done the quests already, or that they were later in a chain that started elsewhere -- in which case I'd be back later when I got to the zone with that chain. ;)

Lots of running, but not a lot of thinking. I had a notepad of zones I'd finished so I could break off and come back later when I got bored.

My biggest problem was that I tried to hang onto the dungeon quests until I had a big bunch of them for the dungeon, which caused me to run out of space for non-dungeon quests. So I ended up running Sunken Temple three times as I had to clear quests out.

Aye, pretty sure I read this, just was awhile back. Anyway, went back to Unholy tanking today, and braved some heroics. I got seven done, six without anything major that went wrong. Most people didn't even really care my gear is pretty low, compared to people in full emblem gear. Except that druid in the Nexus... /HAAAAATE. Ok ok I promise I won't rant here... *cough*
