Hehe, doing it another way isn't an option for me. Randomly checking periodically has never worked for me, I'd rather stick it out and give myself higher chances (especially with my horrendous luck) than leave it to random spot checks.

You can always offer cookies though I am not sure how well that will work. I have been offering TLPD cookies and he refuses to come out and play with me. :(

I am getting a little worried though for you, you better be getting sleep! :C (and maybe some noms too) Last time a friend of mine camped for something, he got really messed up afterwards due to lack of sleep, I made sure he ate though. Hah!

Ohai Xariona.

(she didn't give me a heart attack, but Kalli had her scanning still so we all went to see her)

Welp, made it 20 hours. Passing out now, so I'll be back tomorrow. Ah well, at least we saw Xariona.

Xariona - She's a sign! <:

No seriously. I followed Xariona around Deepholm in the middle of my camp around 24 hours before I got Aeonaxx. Hope the same thing happens for you!

I had a dream that we saw blood seeker. No actual visual, but there was a small npcscan box on my dream screen with him over it. (The weird part was that instead of the normal yellowish box, it was a light-medium gray color with no text.)

I know we didn't really see anything after Xariona, but since my TLPD dream came true, I'm thinking that we didn't miss Aeonaxx after all.

Back to the search! I'm hoping Xariona was a good sign as well. ^^

Vephriel, did you try washing dishes? Seriously, this was how I lost the first Aeonaxx spawn. I would usually fly around from time to time but did not that time because I had to wash dishes. The following day, I was supposed to do the dishes again but decided to delay it a bit… and bam!

Camping Aeonaxx was disastrous to my RL so I wish you all the best. (Btw, it was two months total for me… three Xariona sightings (10 manned one encounter), zero Blood Seekers, two Aeonaxx (one where I chased him around Deepholm (haha), and the other found dead).
Remember, this is no sprint. The true test of a hunter tests his endurance over the course of a long expedition.

It's been about 5 months for me now. Longer if you count my first attempts, but 5 months since I started this thread and really dedicated myself to it.

I've seen 6 Blood Seekers, 1 Xariona, and 1 engaged Aeonaxx so far.

Whoa, never looked at the date of the first post, but 5 months? I waited about that long for Loque back during Wrath. Be sure to take a breather now and then. My camp for Loque sorta messed with me, as special as he is to me, he really drove me nuts. Wouldn't want you to overdo it for a mount thats supposed to be special... cause then you look back at how crazy you were trying to get it and feel kinda lame. (Yeah, I feel lame now when thinking about my Loque camp)

Yeah, I suppose I'm a little crazy myself, but I really do adore this mount, so I'll never regret it once I have him. :) I know it's just a matter of time, I just have to stick with it.

7 hours so far today.

Almost 11 hours, and trying something unorthodox.

It's a bit of a long story, but taming a mob from Deepholm and naming it Aeonaxx. There might be some luck tied in here, it's worth a shot. x)

I feel like I have my own little rave on this rock. Between the two shale spiders and the Twilight Drake I'm surrounded by GLOWINESS.

15 hours today.

Yeah, OS3D was one of the rare moments of weird RNG luck I've ever had. I won the Black Drake, then the Twilight Drake, then the Black Drake again on my paladin. ._.

You're doing so much better at camping than I did, I would get distracted by raids for the first few days. :P Then I eventually got serious about it, and then rather lucky. But you deserve this mount at least 4859340 times more than I did, haha.

I always make my own raids for OS 25 3D as well, and I always go with just 10 people since it's so easy. And the loot stays on group loot so I'll never be tempted to ninja. >:c I got the Black Drake easy enough, I think it only took three or four runs of the place with five or six people. One day, though, one day...

I shake my fist at the RNG god that has laid a curse on me. I'm sure normal people would have had Aeonaxx long before now, or at least seen more sightings. xD I can't even believe in over 5 months of pretty hardcore camping I've only seen him once, and that was already engaged. It's not like I'm a casual camper, I don't just swing by and leave lots of holes in my vigils. I must average about 100 hours a week right now, 50 at minimum.

I can't wait to have my life back, but dear god I've never wanted a mount so badly and dammit I am not going to give up until I have him. I'm going to out-stubborn him, I swear. ><
