this is a rant at my own silliness....I decided for some bizarre reason that i wanted to level a second team to 25. Well now i'm committed to seeing it through but I forgot why it took so long the first time.

and if the harpy roost is supposed to be done and reflect higher lvl loot rewards then im VERY Disapointed... im fighting there with my dragons now.. not to impressed by the high lvl loot rewards

It's happened - the great coatl price crash I know for some people its great as now coatls will be easier to get hold of, but for me, after investing EVERYTHING I have into my coatl pairs, its heart-breaking. 25kT for a DG coatl, 50kT for a nice TG one ;_;

Last night I mentioned the price crash to my girlfriend and the convo went a little like this:
Me: "Coatl prices are such shit now"
Her: "wait, how low are they going for?"
Me: "25k"
Her: "... wait, WHAT?"

When I went into AH earlier today they were as low as 15k :C

Just for reference- there are 182 pages of Coatls on AH for treasure alone. That's higher than every breed except Imperials (who always break the charts), Skydancers (again, super popular) and Spirals.

Considering how lots of people just breed whatever Coatls they have (making for some unfortunate babies, sometimes) and how many other people would rather scroll their Coatls themselves- well, there's just no way the price could have stayed aloft. I'm amazed at how it stayed high for this long.

Though to be honest, I had to wade 30 pages into the AH to find a single one I liked. x.x

Yeah, Coatls stayed high for quite awhile, and alot longer than SDs did. With the right colors and genes, they still sell nicely.

I'm sorry but you can't honestly have expected coatl prices to stay high at this point in the game. The fact that they stayed as high as they did for so long was surprising. Much like with every other "in the moment" breed, they got need to death (seriously, since they came out i have seen so many ugly ones need for the sake of being it's depressing) and now that people are again running low on funds and space, or already have them, they're prices dropped. It was only natural, and to be expected, and i don't feel that people should be throwing a fit about it. It's not like you had to dump all your funds into the new breed, you choose to do it and these are the consequences.

Honestly, if everyone just accepted that this is the way dragon prices are going to stay because they're not opening registration and they don't feel dragons should be a main source of profit, i feel it would make the game a lot more enjoyable. I find myself exalting more and selling to exalt a lot more and getting less upset about it. It's just a game, the market is totally saturated, and it's a lot less stress not to worry about the old prices. Clearly they're not aiming to change things so it's easier to learn to deal with it and move on than before about how good things used to be.

I knew the second i bought my coatl that by the time he would be ready to breed the prices would plummet, and I'm totally okay with that. I knew it would happen and I'm more excited about breeding the pair than i am about getting high prices from the babies.

I'm totally the same -- I'm just a little miffed that by the time I was able to breed mine their babies don't sell for much. But tbh I really can't say I didn't expect that because people bred the poor things to death the moment they could.

I think that's what bothered me - I haven't just grabbed 2 random dragons, coatl'd them then bred the life out of them producing HORRID babies - some of the ones on the AH aren't just a matter of being naff due to my personal taste (I like a lot of colours, including spring!), they really are terrible and overpriced. Just seems that people breeding like crazy to make a quick buck have ruined the market for those of us who have put time and effort into finding, regene'ing and then waiting for the breeding CD Can't get my TG babies to sell for just 85kT atm, by the time they can breed again, I will probably be exalting the babies -.-"
