Re: Pokemon!
I've decided to make a Rain team for the hell of it.
The team will have:
Dream World Politoed. They have the Drizzle ability which means endless rain unless other weather occurs after it. He will be holding Choice Specs and know Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, and I'll bribe someone to get him Grass Hidden Power XD
Kabutops. Swift Swim ability. With this ability, his Speed is doubled in rain. He holds a Choice Band and knows Waterfall, Stone Edge, Aqua Jet and Superpower.
Parasect. This guy is an interesting one for me as he will not be an all-out attacker like I'm used to. He's a staller. With Dry Skin ability, he heals in Rain and heals from Water attacks ((at the cost of losing HP in Sun and Fire hitting him harder)). He will hold Leftovers and will know Spore, Substitute, Leech Seed and X Scissor.
Toxicroak: Mostly there for Steel types to blast with her fighting STAB. This Toxicroak is a surprise Sp Attacker. Dry Skin ability. Holds Life Orb. Moveset: Nasty Plot, Vacuum Wave, Dark Pulse, Sludge Wave
Dream World Dragonite: Ability is not effected by rain...its the movepool. Ability: Multiscale. This ability is unique to DW Dragonite and Lugia. If HP is full...any dmg recieved is reduced 50%. Holds Expert Belt ((for lack of anything better as Random Wi-fi disallows duplicate items)). Hurricane, Thunder, Brick Break, Roost.
Last slot is a toss up of these pokemon to help with Electric types:
Quagsire: Good HP...learns Earthquake....immune to Electric....can get healed by Water attacks with Water Absorb.
Omastar: Great Def and Sp Attack. Can learn Earth Power. Abysmal base 55 Speed is suddenly not so bad with Swift Swim ability and Shell Smash. Can be quite deadly.
Gastrodon: Great HP....can learn Earth Power.....Storm Drain boost Sp Attack when water hits him. Immune to Electric.
Any help deciding that last slot would be great XD
Pokemon of the Week: Steelix ((falls into a category Absol shares....Pokemon that look like they'd be amazingly but don't really live up to it. Steelix is worse off than Absol tho. http://serebii.net/potw-bw/208.shtml ))

Re: Pokemon!
Hm.. I think i'll revamp my oooold RP team, and make one strictly using pogeymonz that I would have if I were a trainer IRL. x3; guess i'll start compiling a list then.

Re: Pokemon!

The evolution of Budew if it evolves by night with happiness.
Pokedex entry:
Its flowers contain a dark essence that is released at nighttime.
Their songs promote nightmares.
They appear near people who are currently losing their love for something
This is inspired by a moonflower, which opens at nighttime, also inspired by Banshees and opera masks as well as the moon.
it is a Dark/Grass type

Awesome signature by the awesome pengupuff!

Re: Pokemon!
finished up my third Rain Team member:
Team so far:
Serqet: Adamant Kabutops. Swift Swim ability. Choice Band. Waterfall, Aqua Jet, Stone Edge, Superpower
Strat? Simple: Get out there and kill...enjoying double speed in Rain
Toxin: Modest Toxicroak. Dry Skin ability. Life Orb. Nasty Plot, Vacuum Wave, Sludge Wave, Dark Pulse
Strat? Surprise opponents by throwing out Special attacks instead of the usual Physical ones.
Spore: Careful Parasect. Dry Skin ability. Leftovers. Leech Seed, Substitute, Spore, X Scissor.
Strat? Stall. Dry Skin and Leftovers to heal...Leech Seed for more healing and dmg. Sub to keep her safe. X Scissor in case of Grass opponents.

Rain team sounds like fun! Its making me want to put together a weather team...probably sandstorm or hail (I like weather that has damage)

Re: Pokemon!
Pokemon of the Week: Beeheeyem: ((Very high Sp Attack stat...very low Speed. This is actually an advantage for it due to its Analytic ability which is a 30% power boost if you move last. It also works great in Doubles/Triples with Telepathy which makes it immune to your teammates' Earthquakes and Surfs and such. It also has Simple Beam...which changes the target's ability to Simple...which DOUBLES any changes to stats. Use this on a pokemon with Shell Smash or Quiver Dance XD NOTE: Analytic Beeheeyem has NOT been released yet and is therefore illegal at this time! http://serebii.net/potw-bw/606.shtml ))

Re: Pokemon!
anywho...I need some help deciding a nature for Omastar.
Should I hit as hard as possible with Modest? (+ Sp Att - Att). Bear in mind Omastar has a base 115 Sp Att stat that's getting doubled to 230 by Shell Smash.
Or should I try to outspeed as much as possible with Timid? (+Speed - Att). Omastar has an abysmal base 55 Speed, however with Swift Swim it becomes 110, and 1 Shell Smash makes it 220.
Any ideas?

Re: Pokemon!
Here's an idea for a Sandstorm team for ya!Makoes wrote:that looks pretty good Ruby! Glad I could help
Rain team sounds like fun! Its making me want to put together a weather team...probably sandstorm or hail (I like weather that has damage)
Hippowdon/Tyranitar ((at least one is a MUST due to Sand Stream making perma-Sandstorm))
Excadrill with Sand Rush ((Swift Swim for Sandstorm XD)). One of the best Sand sweepers in game.
If ya wanna be unique...Sand Rush Stoutland works too ((Sand Rush makes it immune to Sandstorm))
Landorus with Sand Force is a beast
Cradily. Get a Dream World Lileep ((I actually have a female DW one so I can breed ya one) for Storm Drain (Water Immunity. Sp Att boost if hit by Water). It makes a GREAT tank, having reliable recovery (Recover), and can boost its Def and Sp Def with Stockpile. AND since its a Rock, it gets a 50% Sp Def boost in Sandstorm!
last slot should be used to cover weaknesses (Fighting...especially if TTar is picked....Ice, Water.)
Magnezone could work! Most resistances of any pokemon, having 12 and 1 immunity (Poison). Teach it Magnet Rise or give it a Balloon to get rid of its 4x weakness! (Magnet Rise is limited time...Balloon only works till you get hit))

Re: Pokemon!
It is now Summer time in Unova!
Summer is VERY similar to spring...but here are some differences:
1: Deerling/Sawsbuck now have Summer coats.
2: Elesa and Skyla visit Cynthia. Cynthia still battleable.
3: the main change: In Undella, a person will trade you a lvl 60 Munchlax (holds Leftovers) for a Cinccino.

Re: Pokemon!
For some reason, Dream World is completely against giving me a poliwag >.>
News:
1:The Nintendo 3DS is getting a new downloadable 'game'. This free download is basically a pokedex. You start with 16 pokemon...and try to fill it with the Street Pass (get a pokemon a day I guess...) or Spot Pass (get 3 pokemon online per day...can also use passwords for more). The pokedex is basically the Unova pokedex...but gives you 3D pokemon images. There is an Augmented Reality function...which allows you to put the pokemon into a real-life setting. Hitting 'A' will throw an apple at it, causing it to do an attack.
That's about it...
2: For people using the Japanese DW....if you have a certain code, you can expand your DW with a PokeCafe section. This section adds a new Dream Pal island to visit and some decorations. The new island features a new mini game. In this game, your a Foongus and you must serve drinks to customers. Your scored based on speed and skill.
This mini game can give you 1 of four pokemon per day.
The pokemon are:
Burmy with Overcoat (immune to Sandstorm and Hail)
Poliwhirl (lvl 25) with Swift Swim (Speed doubled in Rain)
Smeargle with Moody (lowers a stat one stage, raises another 2 stages at the end of every turn)
Eevee with Anticipation (If the enemy knows a supereffective or 1 hit KO move...this ability tells you)
These pokemon CAN BE FEMALE!
This event will last till Aug 30
3: Another Jap event. Starting July 18th and lasting till Sept 30, if you go to a Japanese ANA airport, you can download a Pikachu that knows Fly. This is currently the only legal way to get Pikachu with this move in 5th gen as PokeTransfer bars HM moves.
4: Yet another Jap event. This one ties in with the Victini movies. This event gives away a Pokemon depending on the game you download it on. The pokemon are based on the antagonist that matches your game's color.
Black players will get a Shiny Hydreigon based on the one used by a char named Carita in Victini and the Black Hero: Zekrom.
White players will get a Shiny Golurk based on the one used by a char named Janta in Victini and the White Hero: Reshiram
The event starts as an irl thing...in Jap McDonald's restraunts from June 17-July 7.
It then becomes a normal Wi-fi Download from July 8-Sept 8
Pokemon of the Week: Dugtrio ((Not as good as his third gen days. Arena Trap ability is nice and he's the fastest Pokemon with the Sand Force ability, beating Landorus by 19 Base Speed. http://serebii.net/potw-bw/051.shtml ))

Re: Pokemon!
After using my team in a number of battles, I've come to the conclusion that galvantula just isnt working...that bug goes splat way to easily. So now I've got to fiund some replacement for it...then again once my Haxorus is in play my opponents pokemon dont stand much chance (438atk). I am tempted to try seeing if I can get one thats even higher lol. Just need to get the right natures again and hope to get one with a high atk IV. Atleast I now have a breedable base nature to work with.
Also working on finding a few more shiny rogginrola's with the proper nature, since I really love shiny Gigalith;s, that shade of purple with the ice blue is pure awsome!! I shall have an army of them!!!
Also, I am trying to get a meinfoo breed to possible replace galvantula, it looks like it might fit in well, not leaving myself to open to weaknesses. infact that would leave only a 2 weakness to flying, other then that there are no overlapping weaknesses.

Re: Pokemon!
And EEE I approve of the possible use of Mienfoo. I approve so very very much.
Anywho. May as well give an update on my competitive team.... It's been working pretty well! Glaceon and Ninetales have been struggling a bit, but oh well. They have their place on the team, though. Gastrodon is an amazing tank, Garchomp just rips through things, Venomoth is hilariously fun, and Sharpedo? He's pure and utterly AMAZING. I think he might be my favourite out of this whole team. And who says Sharpedo sucks? XD
Though, in all actuality, I haven't even done any random wi-fi battles yet.. Just Battle Subway. (Not to mention two battles against Magna. DAMN THAT EVIL CLOYSTER! That and.. DAMN YOU HORRIBLE ACCURACY FOR SLEEP POWDER!! I swear, I would have won that battle if Sleep Powder had actually hit.. >.>) But they've been working REALLY well for that already, which is great.
In other news.. I've come to the conclusion that I think I may like my in-game Black team more than I like my SoulSilver team. Say it with me now.. WAIT WHAT. Me, liking a team other than Ghost's team the best?! Preposterous! Actually, no, not really. I mean, I still seriously ADORE Ghost's team, but they've been seeming a little.. Broken apart now, since story-wise, Ghost isn't anywhere with the rest of her team anymore. But I seriously still love that team. ... I just seriously love my Unova team a little bit more. What can I say? I really really really do love these guys. *Hugs her Unova team*
And speaking of which.. They're getting close to lvl 100! Lyell's already lvl 90, while the rest are around lvl 88/89. Also.. The combination of Fake Out/Normal Gem/Acrobatics is PURE AMAZING for Mienshao. Pure and utter amazing. And speaking of pure and utter amazing and Mienshao... Recently, Stormie managed to survive a Dragon Pulse from a Hydreigon in the Battle Subway with like, 15 HP remaining, and then go onto one-shot it with Hi Jump Kick. ... And people wonder why I love my Fighting types so much XD (It's really kinda funny, how I've gone from literally NEVER using Fighting types bar Breloom, to my two favourite Pokemon in Black and White being Fighting types, who are also the star members of my team.)
On a completely different note (Well, not really), I downloaded the Pokedex thing for the 3DS today! And I really like it! I love just spamming the little "Do an animation" button on Samurott's page just to watch him take out his sword and roar like the epic giant otter samurai he is XD
.. Really cannot wait until I get more of my team's members in the darn thing. Whee! Also, you know what makes me EXTREMELY happy about this little Pokedex thing? Not only does it tell you the lvl up moves for a Pokemon, but it tells you the TMs it can learn AND the Egg moves it can get. Pure and utter amazing <3
.. Okay, yeah, that turned out WAAAAAAY longer than I thought. As a parting note... GO LOOK AT DIS. It is amazing. (Why yes, I am completely and utterly obsessed with Pokemon gijinkas now XD)

Re: Pokemon!

Ah well. Playing my english whate version and got to my 5th badge. Testing out some pokemon that I breed. They seem to be doing alright. Reading up on pokemon breeding. My gods its very time consuming!! I said time consuming not hard, dont hurt me senna But I am starting to get the hang of it. Its still annoying though getting the right nature, personality and EV but wrong ability, or some other combination of the 3...I really really want to create a very very powerful Haxorus! My hacked one with its 438 atk is great, but I want to create a legit one for wi-fi competative batteling, that and a Sawsbuck (leech horn ftw!), and a shiny Gigalith...if only I had a code to make hatched pokemon shiny, then I could breed one up. (although the red is nice, I really really OMG LOVE the blue/purple Gigalith!!)
I am also trying to draw some pictures of pokemon in battles, but although I can get one pokemon done, I cant seem to be able to draw the oponent pokemon

Re: Pokemon!
In fact, Poliwag's the only DW pokemon I've never seen yet.
Pokemon of the Week: Mienshao ((pretty good Fighting type. Nice abilities minus 1, a good movepool, good stats. Also a VERY good pokemon for double battles. Has no priority moves which can be bad, and missing with Hi Jump Kick is fatal, made worse by ppl with ghost types. http://serebii.net/potw-bw/620.shtml ))
Re: Pokemon!
Presenting: Team Duskrise, led by Azunara
Lily, Female Lvl 30 Quilava: Lily is the "mother" of the group. She's protective and treats everyone in the team as her child. Tick her off though and she'll tear you a new one, and she won't think twice about it. She's been with Azu the longest.
Moveset: Flame Wheel, Fire Blast, Cut, Ember
Dusk, Female Lvl 25 Venonat: Dusk is pretty shy and elusive. She doesn't like being bothered by people, and she loves sleeping. That said, she can hold her own in a fight, though she's more of an indirect striker as opposed to a direct head on fightier.
Moveset: Leech Life, Psybeam, Supersonic, Poison Powder
McKay, Male Level 30 Fearow: If something is going wrong, McKay will be the first one to tell you, and he'll assume the worst. He's a pessimist (Though he prefers the term realist). That said, he's quite intelligent and gets the group through caves or worse without ever having to retrace his steps. He may not act it, but he does love the group.
Moveset: Agility, Aerial Ace, Fly, Mirror Move
Havoc, Male Level 19 Nidorino: If you want destruction, rage, and hatred, Havoc is your guy. The newest member on the team, he's not very trusting of the others. He does enjoy fighting though, and will pick fights with anyone or anything he can.
Moveset: Thunder, Rock Smash, Iron Tail, Shadow Claw
Shade, Female Level 16 Umbreon: Older sister to Hail, Shade is a pretty quiet pokemon. She stays in the shadows, more watching and listening then speaking. Unless you hurt her brother, then she'll destroy you where you stand. Sometimes, she has the occasional instance of speaking her mind.
Moveset: Pursuit, Return, Tackle, Payback
Hail, Male Level 20 Vaporoen: Younger brother to Shade, he's outgoing, energetic, bouncy person. He almost never shuts up, spitting out from his mouth whatever pops into his head. He can get upset pretty easily though, and can't take critisism very well. He gets scared easily, as well.
Moveset: Water Gun, Blizzard, Sand Attack, Surf
Why yes, they do have personalities and stories. ><;
