In my guild, I allow politics, religion, or sexual innuendos to be said so long as people don't go overboard with it and it doesn't get heated. I tell people if they don't like it then they can either overlook it or turn off guild chat. Thankfully my guild doesn't mind it most of the time.

sigh...graphics card is still buggered. Made a post on the tech support thread, got a blue response...did what they told me to do...part way through the download got a blue screen, comp reboots...no graphics card detected...so everything looks as epic as when computers first came out atm...awaiting the blue posters reply on how to fix...yay...

I'm already uncomfortable discussing male "anatomy". It makes me sick. All I wanted to do was chat about hunter pets and saving the two worm skins being made untameable next patch only to have the entirety of my guild break down into immaturity without a care for my feelings. Especially when I get told:
"You have worm pets and play a male blood elf. Something to ponder."
Seriously. Grow the fuck up.

I have to say I would not like it if someone told me and my friends we can't joke about male organs just becuase they don't like discussing it. I could say the same to you :/

I think the point here is that wasnt even what the topic was about to begin with and what they said to her was rude, regardless if you like joking about something if it makes someone uncomfortable and I have prior knowledge of it I'd joke in PM's or in a group, I can see your point but here it seems they started just to make her feel uncomfortable, especially considering that she feels weird about it and they know it.

Wow, I didn't intend to start anything here. The general consensus is correct though, I do and had already told the guild that I get uncomfortable when they talk about... male sexual organs... Normally I would just sigh and switch to a different chat window for a while. What I didn't specify is that they seemed to continue deliberately to annoy me despite my asking them to stop. I personally find it hard to ignore something being thrust in my face more-or-less cos it hurts.
I ended up ragequitting with a few people on /ignore.

If they did it after you asked them to stop, then that falls into harassment. As a GM, I would've smacked them for you. I don't like my members feeling horrible.

I just can't stand it when people tell someone to grow up for being immature and yet be immature themselves >.< It's a huge pet peeve of mine. It's a bad one at that I admit So again sorry.

Anyway, my own rant. Besides sleeping my day away only to wake up with a headache. The stupid "Stop background downloader while playing" option was removed, and I HATE IT. It makes the game crash every time I log on.

All this talk about that humanoid pony show that's coming out all I can is they look like they where made in one of those shitty dress up games you would find on DA and the like. They are bland and that's a worse thing to say about a character design then being bad looking :/

It's a two way street I think. You can't always have it your way or else people will get angry with you. You know what I'm saying? I'd not want to be in a guild if we could not talk about something ever just becuase one person who's not the Guild leader does not like it. If it's their own guild I can understand they make the rules.

I guess I'm saying it's fine to have it your way sometimes but not all the time. People are different and you sometimes have to let people talk about things you don't like but they do.

I'm going to disagree. If someone says, hey, this makes me uncomfortable, then don't do it. It won't kill you not to make jokes about dongs that imply homophobia or worse. Heck, you could even have a weiner themed channel or whatever for all things hot dogs, innuendo and all that jazz.

But if an environment is constantly hostile, it's probably wise to leave.

If the conversation is about something else and then moves to something someone may not like then yes I most of the time will stop but if it's a conversation already about something and someone joins in and says it then no I most of the time wont.

Cable provider is switching over to digital, no more straight cable hook-up...so they sent a box with instructions on how to hook it up...well, anyone who has read the last bit of rants I've posted here about technology stuff...yeah...
I just really want to break down in tears, NOTHING is working right.
its 2013 and technological advancements still cant make anything work the first bloody time...seriously, why the hell can I not just f*ing plug it in, turn it on, hit the activate button and have this shit work?!?

From the wall connection the cord hits a splitter, one to the internet box, the other to the tv. I KNOW that if I talk to a cable representative they will want me to try connecting the box straight from the wall to the box, but I also KNOW that given everything else that's happened that doing so will completely F*ck up my internet and that will lead to hours of fighting to get that back...


**Edit** @.@ something actually went right, "spoke" with a representative online who got my box working in under a minute.
