Another point worth noting is that personal bankruptcy is not possible in the same way in Scandinavia. I was shocked to hear that it's possible to declare yourself bankrupt in North America - in Scandinavia that's something companies do... To go bankrupt over medical bills is ludicrous. Access to medical care should really be a basic right.

Blink...blink...*twitch* What is wrong with us here..../facepalm.

Yes, I know three people personally who have all had to file bankruptcy over medical bills.

That's just plain unbelievable to me. Sure, having to wait a few hours in the ER is common, but to run out of money!?

And Sara, it IS possible to declare personal bankruptcy here, at least in Sweden. It's not exactly like in the US, but it's very similar. It's called Skuldsanering, "Debt-Sanitation".

The British version:

They're not entirely the same, but they're close enough.

Yes, here you get to wait several hours in the emergency room. Then they bill you exorbitant amounts for the privilege. The benefit of the emergency room, though, is that they can't refuse to treat you for not having insurance.

What grinds my gears are the jerks on the road that like to pull your strings. Either they get in front of you and they slow down, they speedball on your butt, or you get pinned in behind a slowpoke while the one passing you is slowly doing so.

People who drive early in the morning with thier highbeams on, get right behind me and stay there... for my entire 40 mile commute :P
I don't really feel like this is so much the "Post-Modern" era as much as its the "Pre-Zombie-Apocalpse" era. I consider myself more of a forward thinking guy and an era that just won't die is just as feasible as a coming era, where the dead come back.

When the male takes my last Mt. Dew and drinks it. -.-

I don't care if you want half the case, but that last one is mine, dammit!

You whine every single time the last slice of bread is gone, or if someone eats the last of something you "wanted", but you cannot leave me my one damn soda?! You have two other kinds of sodas that are just yours, your special water, and freaking milk, Kool Aid, and two types of wine!

Leave my damn Mt. Dew alone!

When people call me obsessed and insane for having more than one Hunter or for have multiple Pokemon games. It's not that I'm crazy-obsessed, it's just I get too attached to my pets/Pokemon and can't get rid of them, but still feel the need to get more! Which is what causes me to have multiple Hunters/games! Arg.

Also: Mijumaru haters and bashers. How can people call him retarded?! He's an adorable little sea otter! <3

People who are too scared/lazy/whatever to give criticism whn we're working on a group assignment. I ended up doing a sound assignment with some guy - I don't know if he's scared of hurting people's feelings or just so damn full of himself, but if you want real constructive criticism from him, you'll have to keep your ears open when he doesn't know you're near. :P If he thinks you've done something wrong, he'll much rather tell it to someone behind your back along with a wave of complaints about how he spent hours and hours trying to fix those small mistakes. Yeah... And all that could've been avoided if he'd just told me that right away, I could've redone my effort. :P But noooo.. he'd rather suffer and get to complain about it.

After listening to his bull in class for a while I finally popped and told him just what I thought of it.

This is just a minor pet peeve, but it still aggravates me. xD

How in public washrooms the paper towel dispenser is usually located fairly high on the wall. After washing your hands you have to reach up to grab the towels, and gravity causes water to run down your arms and get your sleeves damp. x)

My bro's girl freind. Now i will have to give a bit of back story first so you know what i am going on about.

Ok my unlce owns a busness where he helps famers by going to their farms and killing pests I.E rabbits and possums. He then sells these at my aunties butcher shop where they go for quite a bit.
Now my uncle hunts these 2 pest animals for alot of reasons
A) they eat our native plants and birds eggs(possums do not rabbits well rabbits eat the plants too)
B)they are introduced pests
C)he gets paid
D)they taste good
E) do you now how much possum fur goes for? HEAPS!
F)they eat crops and stuff

Now every once and a while he invites me and my dad to come with if its a really big job. I'm the kind of girl who does not mind getting her hands bloody and well i find shooting things fun >.<.

Now this is when my bros girl friend comes in. She Complains and acts like we are evil cold blooded murdering monsters for killing "cute little bunny wabbits and possums" and that we should not kill them cos they "have a right to live here as well and killing things for meat is murder". Well i am sorry you dumb female dog we are the muderers? i see you complaing about how our native wildlife is in danger all the time do you know what animals put our tuis and native bats in danger? Fing possums and rabbits thats what! No they don't have a right to live here they are not native and what else can we do? We can't ship the possums back to aussie and the rabbits back to england cos i am pretty sure that they would want them. Its not like we torture them its useally a clean shot thru the head unless its me i sometimes get them in other places >.<

"killing things for meat is murder"
Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!! I'm assuming she's a vegetarian? Otherwise, she's a murderer by extension, just tell her that. ;)

I get so tired of the whole "meat is murder" argument. Humans are omnivores. If someone wants to be vegetarian (and researches it properly and replaces the protein source in their diet) then by all means, I'm not going to stop you, just like I won't stop someone from eating meat. But the folks who've no idea about where meat comes from or have some distorted notion of what's natural... please refrain from telling me what I should or should not be doing. /end rant.
