I've also come across rumors of a Pokemon colosseum remake for the 3DS, but have not found any official information on this. I'd actually like it if they did that since I enjoyed the games.

I loved colosseum / xd as well, though more as a tv/console game. Pretty sure they were gen 3 as well, wonder how much they'd end up changing everything.. xD

This would make a really, really, really happy Azu. Colosseum and I have a history. Being able to finally, actually frikking play it or a version of it or something at one point would be amazing.

Damn, it's been like.. 8 years since colosseum hit GameCube? <mental images of little 14-year-old Felidire battling after school, back when he still had friends.> XD

Colosseum was definitely one of the best times I had as a kid, it was like the first double-battle oriented console game, using my two absolute favourite pokes as starters. What's not to love?
..Not to mention that so many people wrote fanfics about that game, or about their two starters - crazy amounts of people.. (Myself included, it's actually what sparked my earlier literary interests during highschool.)

What shat me the most was that both starters were gender locked.. Both males... The good thing is that if they did make a 3DS version it would probably have more WiFi-ish online-y stuffs, there's also a chance that I could hack the game to start with my respective RP team's gender and/or natures. ^.^-

I think thats one type of game play style I wouldnt want to hack. I find so far with the handheld for the pokemon games, they are basically remakes of remakes of remakes...tainer catches pokemon, trainer raises pokemon, trainer beats gyms, trainer beats elite...trainer fills pokedex. Trainer beats game. And not with wi-fie, insert trainer gets ass handed to them by fellow players.

And ranger games are remakes of the first ranged, and explorers are remakes of the first explorer game...

I dunno, maybe its just that Colloseum/XD are differnt in objectives then thier other pokemon cousins. It isnt really about catching them all as it is about saving pokemon from an evil orginization by catching shadow pokemon and purifying them.
Theres just something nicer about that. Its different and not over played.

The only "hacking" i'd do is altering the starter, because i'm extremely picky and overly sentimental... (I'd want to start the adventure as if it were me, with the exact pokemon that i'd have if it were real.) I did the same with Soul Silver (before my dog chewed the shit out of it) and I enjoyed it 10x more than what I would have, had I started with Cyndaquil. x3

I'm not entirely sure about the ranger games, I didn't like them much and just couldn't get into them... At least with PMD2, the storyline and gameplay felt unique, enough so as to differentiate from its predecessor. Actually i'd have to say PMD2 was/is the best pokemon game i've ever played - as in ever ever. XD; Colosseum would come in second, and all the others - barring xd - would be a fair drop below! =P

I tried looking around and can't find much about Colosseum, if they are working on porting a game to the 3DS I think it might be 'Pokemon XD' - which despite having a lot of improvements, i'd still prefer colosseum; being the one that started it all off, having a nicer background story, ect.

My friend and I both decided, since we've done all the nifty things in Black (Well, not true. I could hunt down the Sages, but I'm lazy), we're going to reset our games, choose the grass starter, and from there only pick pokemon that we never used before against each other. Just for rivalry and fun.

Was playing my Soulsilver game last night, always fun to try to figure out what I am suppose to be doing again after spending long periods of time away from the game...Turns out I needed to fight Whitney and her Miltank...joy...Between rollout and Milk drink, the fight took far longer then it should have. It was my furret that finally managed to deal the finishing blow, with the help of Cyndaquil, totodile and Pidgeotto.

I wonder if miltank would be as annoying in a competative style...hmmm dont think i've ever seen a miltank in wi-fi matches...

I only ever tried that thing once.. One kyogre, a latias, two mew, my suicune... and something else. Apparently legendaries are more difficult, and you can only use the transfer if you submit 6 pokemon at a time; so my PCs were practically empty, I had to run out and catch random wild pokemon just to xfer 2 legendaries or so at a time... Never again. >.>;

Not sure. I don't do the pvp stuff. No one to really play with and most of my breeding/raising is with the intent to utterly destroy Cynthia (still think it was funny to give me a MALE togi with HUSTLE? Allmyhate.).
Maybe the ditto will be released soon since so many people wanted it?

I really wish legendaries weren't the be-all-end-all pokemon. I like the "normal" pokemon a lot better. though I havent tried the TCG-online yet, I have several code things to use...eventually. I just wish there was someone near by whom I could have proper matches with, I have so many cards and no-one to play with T.T
