I am learning all about useless with some of these pokemon's nature/personality's that are completely the very opposite of what their "natural" strengths are... Such as my S.atk Pidgey (stuck with gust till lv 49 for air slash)...I love my Baily (who surprised me by being shiny)
Doing a nuzlock chellange in SS, its not like I can just catch stuff till I get the right ones...I am working on writting a sort of journal about "Tobias' Adventures" (SS Nuzlock Chellange) At whitney as my next gym now...got some seriouse training to do to get better before I try her...that miltank is pure EVIL!!!

Also...dont think I ever really thought about it before...but how does the Daycare work for Nuzlock? does getting an egg there count as that routes "pokemon" or is it where the egg hatches? There seems to be a few different opinions on the daycare I was wondering what peoples opinions on it were here.

So! Last night, I had decided to try chaining for Shinies in Platinum for the first time. While.. A little daunting, it was surprisingly easy to get the hang of. I had started with Starly, since I love Shiny Staraptor.. And it's a pretty simple thing to start out with.

Unfortunately, Bidoofs were out to get me. They kept breaking my chains >.<

BUT! Tonight, at about.. quarter to 10.. At a chain of 23 Starly.. To my surprise.. I saw a shaking patch right beside me that looked.. Remarkably like what I remembered Shiny patches looking like. Taking a chance, I zoomed into it.. And low and behold! A female Shiny Starly~! The chain broke like, two Starly later, and the Shiny has a Quiet nature.. But I don't care! I love her anyway, and I'm gonna EV-train her in SoulSilver so I can use her in Battle Revolution~ Eee! She's the third Shiny I've ever actually gotten myself~ <3

I'm gonna be trying to get a Shiny Shinx, too. (Maybe even more, if I'm lucky.) And who knows what else? Either way, I'm now gonna chaining up a STORM in Platinum XD

(Also, I've noticed a trend with me and Shinies... BIRDS. The first Shiny I got in one of my main games? (AKA one of the games I play the most.) My Shiny Braviary, Tuari. The Shiny I've been after for about two years? Shiny Ho-Oh. And the first Shiny I got from chaining? Starly. WHAT IS WITH ME AND SHINY BIRD POKEMON.)

ok, I am trying out a Nuzlocke challenge out on my Ruby. (don't want to restart my Platinum) My DA entry here.

Mudkip!!! I think that was the first time I chose a water starter. wurple is always fun since you dont know what its final evo will be until it evolves! I think at one point I was doing a ruby Nuz. but forgot about it and when I played it next I broke several rules before I remembered what I'd been doing with the game...so, I started my SS nuz.

I've got my Nuzlocke going on my SS so far, I beat Clair (dragon gym, 8th badge) and still need to go to the dragon cave and do that bit to actually get my badge...sore loser Clair!

I think I've only lost one pokemon so far, and that was Shake, my gastly, who lost to bugsy's Scyther...dang crit hit! Almost lost baily ( shiny pideotto) a few times, scary! Once was hit and had 1hp left!

I've for the most part been aquiring pokemon from the different pokewalker routes, but I need to go back and do some more training.
I like Nuzlockes, they add a nice new chellange to the games, with actual risks invovled.


Although not pokemon related, I've been playing another game called "Monster Racers" which is kind of like pokemon, but instead of battles you race monsters, and you can breed them, and instead of capturing, you befriend monsters while you race them. they even have Exotic (shiny) versions of monsters, and legendaries. Really fun game its been out for several years and yet there still isnt much information on it on the internet.
I dusted off the game last night and am trying to figure out what I was doing with my monsters breeding wise, lol...Need faster stats and better adaptation to terrain types! (ie. ones that are faster in water, or faster in fire terrains)

Anywho! Updates from me..

Remember how I mentioned chaining Shinies in Platinum? Well, I managed to get 5 Shiny Shinx out of it. 8D


And.. I've gotten pretty lucky lately in Black, since... A while ago I had gone on the GTS to randomly see if I could find a DW Eevee. I managed to find a little female Japanese Eevee up for a reasonable offer (Lvl 9 and under Natu, I think it was..), and what do you freaking know? She had the DW ability. And the other day? I went to the GTS to try and find a DW Dratini. Found one for a good offer (Lvl 9 and under female Riolu. Good thing I had a bunch of spares from breeding them a while back..), and again.. IT HAD THE DW ABILITY.

And boy am I making the most of it. I've already bred myself an awesome little female Dratini with the DW ability, and I'm working on getting myself a little DW-ability Eevee that I'm gonna turn into an Espeon. It's going UBER slowly, since I need a very specific Hidden Power type for said Eevee, but I'm sure I'll get one eventually...

Yeah there isn't alot going on in the pokemon world atm. I go on pokefarm daily, saw you got that ho-oh, that was a nice find! I've been puttering around in B&W, doing some random breeding just to see what will happen.

Mostly been looking after my nephew, though...I did get him hooked on Pokemon Channel (game cube game) dug out an old GC controller and hooked up the wii. He enjoyed tormenting pikachu by turning the tv on/off...next week I'll introduce him to the pokemon park for the wii, I think he'll like that more then the pokemon channel game. I've got to get him hooked on pokemon, if just to spite my sister

Not much really happening atm, trying to get my nephew addicted to pokemon...really wishing that there would be a MMO like WoW but with pokemon...hating that I dont know a thing about making games...Trying to draw pokemon in my new "style" and trying to find time to keep working on figureing out my tablet so I can ink/color the pictures.

Taught my daughter how to say Flygon. Have random people (adults) look at me wiered when I start playing with my pokewalkers on the bus.

And the Dragonite I got is amazing. The two of them paired with my Cobalion make the BEST Battle Subway team I've EVER had. They've gotten me far enough to fight LEGENDARIES. I think my longest streak was 38 wins..

What's your favourite Starter Pokemon?: Gotta be sterotypical and say Typhlosion or Charizard. What can I say? I'm a fire type kind of girl.

What's your favourite Legendary Pokemon?: Dialga. I've always been a fan of him, because time dragon of steel and death is badass. Added that I have an RP character that's a Dialga who has FINALLY gotten some love, my obsession with dragons and or time travel (Seriously. It's sort of odd.) and it's no surprise that he's my favorite.

Legendary Trio: I'm sort of an old schooler and have to say Legendary birds. I've always liked them, and my fondest pokemon memories was time spent trying to catch these birds, crouched over my Gameboy SP while it's charging, because the battery is dying and dammit I was trying to catch Articuno.

Legendary group: I haven't always really had a favorite, though I suppose Latios and Latias pairs are high up there now after recently watching the Heroes of Ultima movie. Laaaaaatiooooos. <3

Roaming Legendary: I'm kind of a sucker for Raikou. Badass lightning kitty? Hell to the yes, pl0x.

100 base stat Legendary:I sort of like Mew. Never had one though. O_o

Major Legendary: Uh. I've already said Dialga as my favorite, however second favorite for difference's sake has to be Lugia. He's my second favorite Mascot Legendary, because eee Lugia is so pretty. Event Legendary: Darkrai, I think. They're pretty cool. And I don't like the others as much. Which reminds me I need to get my free ones on Black and White.

What's your favourite regional bird Pokemon?: Probably a three way toss up between Pidgeot, Noctowl, and Staraptor. Of those, staraptor probably edges out.

What's your favourite Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon?: For the longest time I never used one of these. And then I used a Garchomp. GARCHOMP ALL THE LOVE EEEEE. <3 My Alistair is full of badassery and sheer win.
