You do know that you can take all your gear off and either hit it with a serpent sting and pop tame and start gauging how fast/slow your tame is and work out the timing, or you can try it with an immo trap.
You hit the abandon macro with 2 seconds left on the tame...

Re: Taming buffed pets still available?
It takes practice. When I did it, it was with the alliance quest "Lupis Pupis", which as far as I know, it was necessary to get the oil stained wolf.Corpsebryde wrote:Idk I guess I'm just dumb then. I put an immo trap at max distance, hit tame, he ran in and died with 4 sec left on the tame. I've tried every method as I've read it here and they don't work. Sorry to bug everyone.

It certainly was for the original way discovered to tame the oil-stained worg.Jessibelle wrote:It takes practice. Oh that's cool, so you don't have to do the absurd "kill it as you tame it method." That's neat.Litlemouse wrote:I just tamed my diseased wolf as normal, and when there was like .5 seconds left on the tame I *click click click click!*ed the macro until he disappeared, then tried to tame another wolf, I did it until it worked and it wouldn't let me.
Then I just logged out, logged in, and called him.hope this clears things up a bit

Maybe try Litle's way when you're feeling less frustrated Corpse? I didn't realize that it would work in that manner and I apologize.

I've also read to make sure it's a button you're pressing on the action bar and not clicking it.

Re: Taming buffed pets still available?
If that doesn't work, try the normal way (spamming it at 2 seconds) with your macro button on your bars.
I know that it didn't work when I was clicking it.

Re: Taming buffed pets still available?
I only start spamming the macro when it is half a second left.
I click more than once but as soon as he disappears I stop.
Now I had the same problem with Princess, I must have failed at least 50 times, but I experimented, such as only clicking once, spamming since 2 seconds, or anything I could think of.
Good luck!

EDIT: You DO have the right macro, right?

Re: Taming buffed pets still available?
They will only take them away if you're purposely trying to exploit them (for example, taming a known pet with a damaging buff/aura), or if someone reports you for having one.Youlose wrote:a video would be a good idea, i just hope blizz don't take our buffed pets away :'(
Best way to avoid getting reported for one is not to make a huge scene while you have one out, and try not to get on people's bad sides.

Just my two cents anyway.
