I do get a 'strange' feeling though.

First was with Loque, my first hard-core camp (all of 2 days lol - them were the days!). On the Saturday I promised my mom I would help her with the house chores, but I just had to log on and check - in the middle of a family argument over me always being on WoW, I found him

Then with Aeonaxx, my laptop had just arrived in the mail from being fixed, and I was adament I had to check my in game mail before I went out for the day. Hi guildies, yeah laptop fixed. Yeah I'm up for hcs later...whoah NPC Scan says strange dragon just spawned X__x Safe to say I never made it to the mail box lol.

Banthy was being difficult, missed him thanks to some mage, rogue and hunter (yep took 3 of them to tame him ._.). I logged off, came back later to check my GM ticket, no answer -.- Was browsing WoWhead for a Banthy replacement when NPC Scan went off....stoopid hunter with Banthy again I thought. Hell no, Banthy was flapping above my head lol xD

And finally, this last Saturday my sis was hunting for Sambas after finding him the day before when she was lvl 84. She was browsing the net (she doesn't like hard-core camping xD) when I asked her if she had checked his spawn spots. Why bother she asked me, before spazzing out at the northern most one xD

Shhheesh, if I sit and camp solid I miss the rares I want, I get them better by logging off then logging back when I feel they should be there xD Don't get me wrong, I've tried the random fly-bys, they don't work either!!!

That's an interesting theory... you never know! No wonder Time-Lost wants to stay hidden, he doesn't want to face Vyra after their heated night they shared together in the cold, lonely mountains of Storm Peaks...

I'm afraid to say that I don't think checking now and then for Time Lost will help much. xD Sure, I got TOTALLY lucky on my DK a few years ago and grabbed Time Lost out of the blue, but the chances of that happening to me again? And on my main character that I collect all my mounts on? Yeah... I'll stick to camping for now.

Today was the busiest I've been able to keep myself while camping so far. For one reason. Cupcakes. Probably not exactly what you're thinking, though.

I hadn't checked Equestria Daily for a while (Yes, I like MLP.) so I decided to and I came across this 20 minute long song that someone had made about the character, Pinkie Pie. Whoever's seen the show knows how insane she can be, and this song is a literal serious take on that, delving into how she became so insane. (Non-canon.) After hearing the song, that I thought was really good and I took rather seriously, I learned it was based off the intensly morbid fanfiction called 'Cupcakes'. I read it, it was rather short and wasn't exactly the the most amazing writing I've ever seen, but something about it managed to really urk me. I've seen some films you won't believe, some really horrid ones, so blood and gore doesn't really disturb me anymore. But something about it DID manage to get through to me. Perhaps it was because it was a morbid approach to a kids show and a character that is normally funny, bright, bubbly and adorable. I then went on to YouTube it, look at people's 'musical' versions of it and I learned I wasn't the only one bothered by it, if not a little bit of a fan towards it. Somehow I actually liked this kind of Pinkie Pie. I feel like a bit of a noob now actually, for learning about this fanfiction so late.

Has anyone else read it? And if you haven't but seen MLP: FiM... I honestly wouldn't suggest reading it if you're faint of heart. Seriously. I'm someone who's seen the worst of the worst of blood and gore horror films and this STILL bothered me.

I only remember watching MLP when I was younger. The old one that is. I'm sure they've got better episodes of it now on TV. I do however, know who Rainbow Dash is. I liked someones signature over at MMO with her in it. Cute. :p

Good luck with your hunt, Kuraine! I really like the TLPD / Vyra idea, it does add an intriguing level of drama to the Storm Peaks.

Now about 'Cupcakes'...I'd never read it, but had heard about it. After reading your post, Kuraine, I found it on Equestria Daily. Let's say that...well. I, too, am not (overly) disturbed by blood / gore, but that story was intense. I think what hit me hardest was just imagining all that dialogue in Pinkie Pie's super cheery, can't-get-me-down voice. Like you, I'm actually...kind of a fan...after the initial horror wore off. For example, I loved the spoof MLP Batman trailer where Pinkie Pie played the Joker. I thought that was adorably twisted; 'Cupcakes' takes it to a whole 'nother realm. And I agree with your warning, probably just best to steer clear of the story if you're faint of heart. Atalanta, just as a very brief synopsis (hopefully without giving too much away): it involves descriptively brutal scenes of torture. And Rainbow Dash.

I actually heard the song before I read the story, and even then I found something about it to my liking. I have yet to see anyone make a bad comment about that song. It's very cleverly made if you ask me and goes through so many styles of music and emotions in one song. There really is something amazing about it, and I've been listening to 12:00 - 14:00 over and over again for the past few hours. The 'parodies' of the songs 'Art of the Dress' and 'Cupcakes' were... wow. Amazing. Really well done. However I do not EVER suggest reading the story and listening to the song at the same time. That did things to me.

They say that the story will ruin Pinkie Pie as a character for you, but, I won't lie, I don't think I've actually liked Pinkie Pie this much until this fanfiction and especially the song. The song made it for me.

And the story is very gruesome, Atalanta. I think you'll only get the full blast of how creepy it really is though if you've seen the newer show and got used to the new Pinkie Pie. I never liked the old My Little Pony when I was younger to be honest, I found this one out of the blue one day and decided it was quite good, and became a huge fan since then. I found it before I even knew how big of a thing it was on the internet, funnily enough.

But honestly, to anyone thinking about reading the story. HUGE word of warning. It's gruesome, horrific and borderline wrong, to be honest.

Wow, I'm blown away by that song. George Desroches did an amazing job. The lyrical imagery is so vibrant, and the composition makes me think of a Broadway production or some kind of epic ballad. That transition from 12:00 - 14:00 is nuts...the duet with her Pinkamina alter-ego gave me chills. Thanks for the link!

And I know all this pony shit is off-topic but it's MY THREAD, I can talk about whatever I like. xD You can't blame me anyway, camping isn't exactly fun. And MLP is awesome.

Right. Camped all day now, non-stop at Frozen Lake since 9 AM. Nothing to be seen now and it's nearly 8 PM. Every single spawn point is covered. Me on Frozen Lake. Hunter on Waterfall. Warrior on Ulduar. Boyfriend, who came late, at Brunnhildar. (Note: The hunter and warrior are the two most often seen campers here so if it spawns on their spots, at least they deserve it really.) There's no escape now for Time Lost. Lucky for me though, I have a 50% to get it, whereas the other two get a 25% chance each. (Unfair? I THINK NOT. I was clever enough to bring a friend along who'll tag it for me.)
