I too found myself thinking many questions like these, Why the hell has Malfurion got feathers stuck in his arms... did he try to repsec boomkin and screwed it up or something? How did Saurfang put on that much weight over night... and did he fall down some stairs as well, whats with that look on his face? How on earth did Ysera change from a Night elf model into a blood elf one, did she get a Thailand special or something?... in fact how the hell did Sylvannas do that too!

In the case of the dragons, there's magic involved of course; and Sylvanas is vain enough to alter her own appearance, I think.

Malfurion -- well, clearly this shows what happens to you if you are a druid too long -- you can't fully change back to humanoid!

Sylvanas wasnt a night elf to begin with, by the time she was born the High Elves had undergone the long evolution process of having their skin and hair and eyes (eyes turned blue instead of the common silver or rare gold night elves have) change color and body shape become more slimmer, she was using a placeholder model till blizzard could come up with the blood elf model but then they got the idea to give her a custom model :3

Malfurion is so powerful and so deeply connected with nature that hes changing from a mortal form (in my opinion ) and becoming almost a second guardian of nature (Cenarius being labelled as the true guardian of nature even though he technically got those powers from Malorne's genes).

I cant say anything about Saurfang XD

Nor can i say anything about Ysera, as much as i love her model, id love to see her skin on the night elf shape for comparison

Edit: Derp, i forgot to add in that dragons can take the form of any humanoid or animal, but i still would like to see Ysera take a night elf form for comparison between her current one

According to the novels, Tyrande has dark blue hair so green is a no... heck, even in warcraft 3 she had blue hair! (But again, Furion had blue hair too...) and Tyrande dislikes dressing like a queen by fear she would end becoming a second Azshara.

What would I do to fix that?
Use the current Azshara's model and give it Tyrande's factions, change the gold coloring to silver and add the bow. Extravagant clothing is not a thing Tyrande would use, even when the night elves where ruled by azshara and the highborne, she disliked using the extremly colorful clothes the other elves used.

As for shoes, I say giving her some silver roman sandals with a small crescent moon would do it.

Yeah, most of us where made aware of her plight/background if you every played WC3 or played a blood elf, or even undead if you did any questing and still managed to ignore major lore in wow.
BUT....
Her model (that's what we were talking about right?) was that of a Nelf to begin with. I'm not saying she doesn't look much more appropriate now compared to how she looked originally, simply that she too was a different (nightelf) model, that was also upgraded (twice might I add) (oh and loosing more armor as she when along too ) from vanilla, just like Tyrande.

For better or for worse, I wasn't trying to interfere with any lore to say she WAS a night elf, just her model was one originally.

We're talking mostly about lore aspects of the model, cow. How Tyrande always viewed herself. Not the actual backstory of Tyrande. ^^; Only stuff that goes to her looks, nothing else.

Sylvanas and the highborne/high elves/blood elves: the night elf model was a replacement until they created a high elf (which uses a new elf model because high elves and blood elves are the exact same race, the blood elves are only different because they turned to fel magic while the high elves refused), the original Highborne, which there was one final Highborne in vanilla was captured and held in Naxxramas against his will and then Cata brought back the Highborne who still remained as night elves due to a different path they followed. High Elves and Blood elves are the same race, just different names which was the result of the destruction of the Sunwell.

They named themselves blood elves to honor the thousands of lives that were slaughtered during Arthas' assault upon the city, but they are no longer night elves in any way at all because of the 10 thousand year transformation they underwent from forsaking all rituals and cultural similarities to the night elves as an act of rebellion since they were exiled out of night elf lands and forced to sail across the sea to a new land which became the lands above what is now known as Eastern Plaguelands

And Sylvanas in her current form is chubby compared to a Blood elf, thats due to her being among the many high elves who, while depended on the sunwells power, was not completely tied by life or death to it, she was still very much a High Elf who still had the thick bodies that night elves have but more refined and slimmer because of the generations of evolution the race underwent during those 10,000 years of living in a COMPLETELY different environment. They evolved to adapt, they evolved to survive, and when you adapt, you become something different, whether it be minor changes or extreme ones

Tyrande: she is strong willed and follows her beliefs very strictly, even though Malfurion has returned there is no way she would portray herself as a glamorus thousand dollar hor just because he has returned from the dream for how long now? Sure id be estatic and take full advantage of that but I doubt, judging by Malfurion's outlook on how people act and dress that hes overjoyed to see Tyrande dress so skimpish

I still don't see how her models bad, Who cares if she's not 100% lore correct people can change their looks. If she wants to wear a pretyy dress so what? She's still teh same person.

I do enjoy her model it's very pretty. Have you seen the figure of her? It's very good.

Personally I'd like a choice to use a model close to that when you ebcome a blood elf.
