Is nice to help other countries and all, and yes it became a tax write off. But geeze.
I, honestly, don't believe in right sizing, regardless of the situation. It's bad for a company because the highest earners who know what the heck they're doing are the first to go. Then you're left with ppl on a learning curve doing more work than before. (I was replaced with a college grade at half my salary LOL oh well, cookie crumbled, they lasted about 6 months before quitting due to "stress". Not sure if they replaced after that...)
The American concept of one person doing one job no longer exists, too. That saddens me.
I guess in that respect I'm glad I made that round of cuts. Independent Contracting may be wonky right now since jobs are so scarce (omg, I went to a part time open call interview for a desk receptionist, recently, and 40 ppl were there), but I'm not doing 5 jobs at once
Long ramble to say that I disagree with Right Sizing. <----my whole point
