Re: Guild Wars 2 Bestiary
I have darkened the color behind the navigation bar a great deal, so the links stand out much better. As for the actual text I'll see about lightening that up a shade, and see how it looks
Think the banner's too big? This is being done from a template and unfortunately the "content" box is really far down, so I tried to make a banner to fit the empty space above. It looks a bit big, I think, so maybe I'll edit the actual template & background image, but it'll mean less green & more black down the page. Thoughts welcome!
Click to see the Main Page (still a WIP) with the new Nav bar:

It looks nice. I'm not the biggest fan of green but I like it.

Re: Guild Wars 2 Bestiary
So after lots of work, I'm thinking of this for the individual pet pages--again, feedback welcome!

Obviously, the "placeholder icons" will be replaced with the legit ones before game launch, and the Locations will have map links--and, of course, the Attributes tab will be filled

Re: Guild Wars 2 Bestiary - Updated from BWE2
I have never played a guild wars game and don't plan on it. But... wow, those models are simply incredible. Makes me see how outdated WoW is (Finally, I thought it has good graphics)

Re: Guild Wars 2 Bestiary - Updated from BWE2
Serious, serious apologies for necro-ing an old thread, but I've yet to find any other website with as much useful, detailed info on Guild Wars 2 pets (especially with the maps!) and wanted to thank everyone involved for the information. I quit playing WoW back in November but was a dedicated hunter 'til then, and I really wish there was a site nearly as useful as Petopia for Guild Wars 2~!
I noticed there was some discussion of creation of a Guild Wars 2 related bestiary site, and was interested in seeing if I could help - I have the locations of some pets from the most recent BWE, like the jaguar and a spawnpoint for the Warthog that isn't listed, as well as a flamingo location in the sylvari area.
Again, sorry for rezzing up an oldie - I just couldn't find anything newer that had all this great info!

Here's a pretty nice video if this hasn't been mentioned already. (I assume not because of the date the video was posted and the date of the last post on this thread.)
It showcases all the pets in GW2 very nicely, and I have to say, I adore the moa birds. Much, much nicer looking than the tallstriders of WoW! And I love how the smaller birds, like the raven and eagle, land when you're not moving. That's something I've always wanted in WoW, it bothers me that the birds constantly fly and I don't use any birds at all because of it. :/ Even though I think a charr warrior is my first choice of profession, I'm looking forward to playing a ranger as well, especially so I can grab some of these beautiful models!

Personally, I think the birds (Or the ravens at least) should perch themselves on your shoulder when you stop running. D:

Oohh... That would be a good idea as well, having them perch on your shoulder. That would look really nice. But as long as they land, I have no problem.

Re: Guild Wars 2 Bestiary - Updated from BWE2
Does anyone know if Marsh Drakes changed appearances? I remember seeing this one in that pet video, and I loved how it had a crocodilian sort of snout. The images I see now though look like the other drakes.

Clicky!
So it seems. I liked it's old design better, but it's icon still remains the same as before.

That's kinda odd they'd change it but there must be a reason for it.

Aww, sadface. That was the pet I was looking forward to most.
