I just googled it, it was the ladros gift thing yeah. Has a chance to pop a rocket/spectral tiger/turtle etc.

Mostly just path of cenarius/pet biscuits.

Indeed. At last years Armageddon (basicly NZ's only con) I got about 6 of those ladros gifts for half the price of a mount one XD and all I got was junk

Huh well what do you know. I just checked the WOTLK CE box and sure enough, there was a pack of unopened cards. And sure enough... I got pet biscuits. Oh well.

Yes, and I wouldn't have ever thought to check if no one had pointed it out. And well, at least I'll use the pet biscuits once I run out of the children's week ones. So it's not a bad thing. But as far as mounts, I'll have to rely on other people getting lucky with their card packs I guess!

Well the plan was to send a lvl 10 char to another realm to get a tcg mount but was thinking a guild transfer was better however its 35 bucks, and not excatly sure how id do it any other way. I know you can buy stuff to sell on the other server right?

You'd have to be careful, the amount of gold the babies can bring is very low. @_@ So yeah, you'd have to absolutely stuff your bank and bags with things to sell to get the $$.

If that's the route you want to take, yes. I don't remember how the gold limit goes...I think 85 is unlimited? (or maybe 50k?) but baby toons cant take much with them. That's why those purple 5k vendor cards from the fortune cards tend to sell for more than the vendor price...people use them for server xfer gold..obtaining. XD (I've heard the same being done with those sands of time (3k from a vendor) but idk their vendor price....not sure if that route is worth it)

I looked it up since I was curious about the same.

Transferring gold via a character is limited by level as follows:
# Level 10-30: 300 gold limit
# Level 31-50: 1000 gold limit
# Level 51-70: 5000 gold limit
# Level 71 - 80: 20000 gold limit
# Level 81+: 50000 gold limit

You can load up your bags and bank with items and take them with you and sell them on the new realm for gold. If you're going that route I suggest you check the other realm to see what might sell well or buy up a bunch of 5k fortune cards as Meggers said.

Transferring gold via a guild appears to be uncapped (from forum posts I saw). However there's a bunch of restrictions to keep in mind, such as the GM must be lvl 10, must have been GM for at least 7 days, must have an authenticator on the account for at least 7 days. The best way to get the big ticket fortune cards is to offer to buy them in trade and maybe offer to pay a little over the actual amount. They're not common so trying to get them by flipping cards isn't the best idea. But the advantage is you will know exactly how much you'll get from vendoring them, as the amount is right on the cards.

You can also try taking other big ticket items like the chopper or vial of the sands with you to auction on the other realm but that's riskier in that it might take a while to sell them. Depending on how much gold you're trying to take with you, I'd even suggest taking things like BOE raid gear or whatever sells well on the other server (which you'd have to do some research) and trying to auction those for gold, if you want to go that route.

Hmm sadly I dont have another lvl 80+ my highest is lvl 33 on that server besides my main... then gotta find someone who is willing to sell me all those lol

If you want, I make all my gold selling fortune cards to suckers... i mean customers on the AH/trade. I've actually never got a tell from someone telling me they won the 5k, (the most I think was 100 or 200g).

Takes some time to mill 100 stacks of Whiptail and then flip them into ink to then flip them into fortune cards, but for every 1k gold I put into buying the herbs off the AH (i only buy when its under 30g a stack for whiptail), i'll make about 3-3.5k gold (depending if the Inferno Ink is selling well or not). But yeah, I have a script that i'll post in trade that links that 5k gold card, works wonders to get buyers.

As I really dont want to spend 35 bucks to get there and the possibility of spending 25 bucks to get back *twitch*
I think I may just see if I can find someone selling those cards, not sure how much over 5k ill have to go. Ill check to see what the prices are for other things.. cause finding 240k worth of 5k cards may not be so easy but then again 240k worth of anything.. is rough. especially if its just the small items lol

Another thing you can try doing is getting a potion of treasure finding and using it on a tanky class in deepholm where those troggs are that dive off the pillars. Running around up there with that potion on you make tons of money....cloth/greens/ore/volatiles from the tiny treasure chests. They also have gold afaik.

Plus those buggers basically insta respawn, which is why I say tank so you can take a lot of damage and be able to stop/loot without worrying.

I don't have a decent tank toon or I'd do it, my BF used to do it all the time though.

Its not that I dont have the gold, I currently have 240k I need to transfer.. and so far have only spent 1k of it.. this may take awhile folks.
