Agreed.

Blizz should just suck it up, make the female worgen look like the male worgen but with breasts, make only 55% of the community happy...

The other 45%, being males who don't play WoW yet, and would only play because of the "hot wolf chick".
So a deformed wolfman with boobs qualifies as a woman now? When did moobs = female?

Sarcasm aside, there is nothing wrong with the female worgens being lithe, yes it's cliche but it fits them to an extent. I mean how do we know what female worgens really look like anyways? All the worgens we could have been slaughtering for the most part could have been males. [ignoring northrend].

And Ryno; have you ever seen the sexual dimorphism between bulls and cows? Bulls are usually larger. And by larger I mean they can get effing huge- cows? Not so much. So it doesn't make it wrong for male tauren to be 9+ feet tall and female tauren to be 6+ feet tall. Sexual dimorphism usually always exists, maybe not as exagerated as wow does for most of the females of most races, but it does.

I'm just glad they didn't turn out as fox-like as the original pictures from Blizzcon showed. In that picture if I didn't know those were werewolves, I would think they were foxes. No way anyone could see a wolf in that.

In the model I can see a wolf, although she is still skinny and still a bit fox/deer looking, but it's a wolf.

Hrrmm....I can see potential there, but I really hope it isn't done. I dislike the profile of the face, especially. Puts me in mind overbred, inbred toy dogs (no offense to the owners of tiny dogs, I enjoy tiny dogs...but tiny dog =/= wolf) The set of the ears is off. I hope it's a work in progress.

Interesting. Something strikes me as being odd, but I can't quite put my finger on it... I think it's something to do with the face, but I'm not entirely sure yet. They're okay, in my opinion. They will look much, much better with their hair. The hair may also give her a more "maned" look too, like the thick fur wolves and dogs have on their scruff. of course, they also can edit the model a bit, if worse comes to worse. Heck, they gave male BEs more muscles because of the QQ the Horde-oriented forum-goers made.

For me what the odd part is is the lack of hair on the models (and that the female wearing cloth has humongous hands/claws). But besides that they look okay and do kinda remind me of the regular worgen models.

Okay had a giggle fit while looking the MMO forums, people are actually happy that the female worgen looks...well angry.

But seeins as this is work in progress, I don't give it much critique. Seeing as the base model is still draenei I like it of course. Yes it looks more like a fox (well aren't we foxy eh, Blizz?) than a wolf. Maybe it's because there is difference in the models..seeing as real life wolves don't differ from eachother that much.
For example remember the female taurens and trolls from the past, they looked quite same to their male counterparts until it was changed.

For a WIP, I like them quite a bit. I was planning on rolling female worgen no matter what it looks like because the male ones just really don't catch my attention very well, and the goblins don't either for some reason but that doesn't mean I won't try them.

not liking the female face options iv seen so far.they all look to bitchy/arrogant.the feet are kind of cartoony for my liking on both genders but i do like the males so far.
though personally i wish they had hired Kyoht or goldenwolf for the designs.those two can draw some NICE werewolves...

I, personally, like the female Worgen. And to be honest, it SCARES me how people (not exactly meaning everyone here, but people in general) seem to act like this is the FINAL model. Yes, what we currently have is indeed a reskinned female Draenei, but seriously, these are a WORK. IN. PROGRESS. (Yay for over-dramatic typing!) Great freaking Ho-Oh, you'd think people don't know what "work in progress" means anymore! >.<

Um it does not look like a worgen in my eyes sorry but its more like a furry than someone with a curse. i DO think they should of made the playable worgen race look more like the NPC worgen race. Oh don't go BuT cow those worgen in SFK are from a differnt dimention and these ones have a curse! You see many people with the worgen curse the ones in northrend and the town by SFK come to mind they look like worgen heck they could of atleast tryed to make there faces look like those wogen instead of disney wanabes and lions or what ever they where going with on the males. They made the playable goblins look like the npc ones why couldnt they make the worgen look like npc ones? I'm not saying they should look just like them but atleast give them the cool 4 fang thing the npc ones had going on.

How do the playable Goblins look like the NPC ones? They look MUCH better than the old NPCs >.<

And yes, while it may be true that the Worgen that live in Silverpine and in the Grizzly Hills are also cursed humans (Most of them, not all, in the case of Silverpine that is), but, they've been roaming free as Worgen for years, unlike the Gilnean Worgen, who sealed off their gate to prevent the Scourge from getting to them (please correct me if I'm wrong on that, I do know that they did close it off to escape something, can't exactly remember what though ^^;), but the Worgen Curse still got to them, and they've also been cooped up in Gilneas as Worgen for years, so somehow I'd think they would have "evolved" to look slightly different.

And besides, while you might like the old NPC Worgen better, I doubt almost anyone else who's interested in the Worgen would want to play as one of those ugly old things from Vanilla. The Cataclysm Worgen look MUCH better.

And again, these female Worgen are WORKS IN PROGRESS.

And, I don't see what so wrong about them looking like furries, they ARE technically wolf-people, so they're no reason why they SHOULDN'T look like furries, as furries are animal anthros.

I was just saying they should of looked at least a bit like the old ones as they are still the same nomatter where they have been. I don't think they would of "evolved" thats a bit silly.

I don't see how it's a bit silly.. But anyway, I think they look enough like the NPC Worgen, to be honest.

Agreeing with Senna on this, the old goblin's have what I like to call "forever business"-smile. They look like them smiling salesmen, while the Cata goblins actually well look...angry..or normal faced.

And, I don't see what so wrong about them looking like furries, they ARE technically wolf-people, so they're no reason why they SHOULDN'T look like furries, as furries are animal anthros.
Quoted for the truth, werewolves even if magical creatures are furries or anthro (if something else please do tell WHAT they are then?)...furry is just another way to say anthro. I hear nobody complaining about taurens, I dare you to say Taurens aren't furries.

Vephriel wrote:I think increasing the polygons and perhaps updating the textures of the old models would be an excellent move. It would be hard for Blizzard to redo them from the ground up due to people having known the same models for years. Any drastic changes regarding someone's character like that is extremely risky and usually met with backlash. I can't see there being any problems on just improving the quality of the existing ones however.
Didn't EQ (or EQ2? I'm not sure) upgrade their player models, and because the playerbase had many people who didn't like the new models, they made the upgrade optional? Like either there was a box you had to check in order to view the new models for each race, and if you chose not to, then the player models stayed the same.

Blizzard could do something like that.

Technically, you don't know that they don't have the fangs. And remember, the Worgen we are playing were originally HUMAN, most Worgen we fight are TOTALLY feral, so they have those fangs to make it obvious that they've lost all human atributes. (For the ones who were human, that is.)

Not the Worgens' fault that they look a lot like "cats" or "rats" who look way too much like wolves.
