While faction pride is one thing, stereotyping is something one should avoid, especially here. I'm rather tired of comments on assorted sites going about how no matter what, one or the other of those will be in the game because <faction> players make more noise. I've characters in both factions and have the pleasure of knowing some great folks on both sides of the fence.

Seeing it here in this community rather makes me ashamed to be a hunter.

After much debate, I decided to vote for the Alliance one. I think it would make a better in-game model then the horde one.

I'm with Boven. Stereotyping a whole faction is just... Ugh. It's not right. I voted horde because it looked better. It embodied the horde more. The alliance bike doesn't do that and if that lion was taken off the front I'd just think it was a shiny beatle bike. I have characters on both sides and I enjoy both sides. This isn't about faction. It's about who accomplished the task better and I believe the horde team did.

Alliance one is actually receiving a lot of good reviews from what I hear.

The way they advertise the voting with "Which chopper will become a FREE in-game mount?" almost makes me wonder if the winning side will get a free mount, and the second will be added as well...only for a price. >_>

Like 25$ at the Blizzard Store? ;)

Joking aside, it's possible they could make it buyable in game for Gold, maybe tied to a faction, most likely Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was put up on the virtual store too. But if they do go with putting the losing one up for purchase with Gold the ammount required should be somewhat affordable for the vast majority of players, unlike the Grand Expedition Yak for example.

I am not voting for either. I cannot stand those type of reality shows and didn't watch beyond the first episode. Even at that I am not surprised what they came up with. *shakes head* TO ME both bikes are yuk. Especially the alliance. Why? As said it's WAY to shiny. As perfectly quoted "Shinning armor is the armor of a knight with no experience.". As shiny as the alliance bike is (and this is my opinion) it looks like some poser noob bike who in no way has ever fought a battle, defended their faction etc. Plus. As also stated. It looks like a shiny beetle. Even the mechano hog and trikes show signs of use to them. And treads??? Really? To me the tank tread look doesn't say alliance.
The horde bike the largest put off is it's just a spiky goblin trike. MEH. I don't like or use the trikes I have why would I want another??? Especially one with wood side boards. And the tank treads. Ugh. No mech mount in the game has tank treads. It seems very ....................what's the word ..........archaic ............no ............ (ponders) cheap ........... something like that. Just doesn't seem that with the vast technological minds in the horde that they'd use tank treads and woods for this. Meh. Just a spiky cheap looking turbo trike knockoff in my opinion. Not voting for that.

Flame me all you want but neither bike speaks well for their faction. Neither TO ME show the essence and soul of the horde or the alliance. Which is what this build was about no?

I think I read somewhere that the winner is free and you can buy the other one but a) I can't remember where and b) they didn't say if it'd be ingame funds or real money. If it's ingame, I may fork out for it, if not...meh. I don't like either of them enough.

I also don't really care for the treads thing, although I think it suits the Horde one well enough to be a halftrack. The one on the front of the Alliance bike makes it look like it'd be absolutely impossible to steer. I didn't watch the episodes; CAN you steer it? Did they actually drive them around at all? I can't see how you turn the bloody thing.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

I watched parts of the last episode, just to see the bikes. They did drive them from the shop to the trailer in the parking lot but that's not really "driving" IMO, which probably speaks of how practical they are to drive IRL.

I think Horde will win - it might be a stereotype that Horde fans are "louder" but I believe that stereotype is based on the fact that Horde fans are more vocal on forums about pride and ownership in their faction.

I myself voted Horde even though I mainly play Alliance because:
1) as an Alli player I want a trike, darn it!
2) the shoulderpad detail and chains on the front tire look pretty cool
3) the Alli bike is just too... well the treads are just strange, especially in front, where it's right in your face. I do like the sword accents and the color of blue they chose though.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you'll never get to use it on an Alliance character, as if the Horde bike wins, only Horde characters can use it. The reverse is true too.

As for all who are wondering why or are mad about the tank treads, Paul Jr. already answered this in a video on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7ATjYofjIc

I admit I was like "W T F ?!" when I saw them too at first, but after hearing himself say why he did this, I can understand his idea and reasons better, especially his comment about the bikes we already have in game, and changed my mind about it.

D'oh, really?! Darn it I was under the impression that everyone would be able to use the winning mount. I want a trike. :(

(If that's truly the case then I guess the "losing" bike would still find its way into the game somehow, otherwise there'd be a mount count imbalance between the two sides).

Crithto made a post about this awhile ago.
Second, the bike that receives the most votes will then be made into a faction-specific-only mount and be available FREE to all players (usable when playing characters of the winning faction, of course).

Alliance one looks like a bug. I don't really find either all that appealing tbh. Voting horde as of the two it looks the best in my eye

For the first time ever I have absolutley 0 interest in this mount. I hate this type of reality show which was done for the hype more than anything (thanks MKR for ruining everything ever) and I actually really dislike mechanical mounts. I only have the chopper and 2x engineer mounts for the numbers tbh - havent even gotten the goblin suit thingo yet and I would happily pass on Mim's Head too (this is really saying alot for someone who is a mount nut too). *shrug* maybe I'm weird
