Imagine a parachute that is really a sporebat, with the tails flowing in that graceful pattern that you see when they do their run animation. That would be Sporebat Paragliding, and it would be awesome.

I have to admit.. I was extremely sad also when the worgen weren't getting that gorgeous elongated furry boar as a mount. D: I wanted that SO very badly. I had a battlecry for it and everythin'!

Anywho.. for a pet I wish to ride?

I think it'd be pretty cool for a ground mount to be the little demon dogs. (Preferrably the runed ones. )
For water I think it'd be kinda cool, but it's not really a pet.. an eel! Or a blowfish.
And of course, the ah-mazing skills of flying.. would be, well.. I think a giant emerald owl would be neat. xD Ohh.. or if ya really wanna be "out there", what about a frostsaber mount that had giant feathery wings! *dies of an overactive imagination*

Masha, my big blue moth! THAT would be a dream mount.

Riding Moth mounts, in all the various colors. I'd grind rep like you wouldn't believe, just to have them on all my characters. Tanin would have blue, and my priest would get a white one... the saddle would be positioned over the thorax. It would be so amazing.

Riding Wasps would come in a close second.
