Skitter died last night to a mage, because 'no one was going to tame him' though he hadn't been up for long.

R.I.P skitters. :<

But luckily, Anthriss, Skitter and Solix were all tamed instead of killed within the same few minutes. ^_^

ShadowAkz: when i was camping there on my troll hunter to finish off the NR SB i seem to get HORDES of alli (some hunters some not) swarming around me. i have an earlier post (think on page 4-5ish) yeah....blizz likes to plae the rares near (alli camps in NR) places where people come and go alot (nice placing blizz (eye-roll)

Some people play the game to screw with others. Everyone gets enjoyment in their own way, even if it may not be the best way.

Exactly as above. I haven't found any that did that to me, but I only have Ban'thalos... and that was like at 3:00 AM Alleria servertime..
I'd never do anything as to kill another hunter's pet. Well, I have killed Gondria cause there were like, no hunters looking for her..
I did let an Alliance tame Skoll

Wait.. I forgot.. this one time I had madexx (green) trapped IN AN ICE BLOCK.. for a guildy, alliance pally walks up. "OH IMA KEEL DIS CUZ HORED SUX"... I acually logged onto my alliance and raged at him, he said "Horde gives me enough crap" yeah like I gave him any crap, specificly me.

I suck at spelling.

Didn't think I was gonna need to come here.... but it happened to me finally. After hearing the many stories of failed Deth tames. I now have become one of them.

So. I found Deth today. Just sitting there, for three minutes no one came, and I kinda wanted her/him. Its a pretty spider afterall. SO I tell my guildies I'm afraid of her/him and the mage that told me about Skarr yesterday was on and offered to help. So we party, and she takes about a min to get to me. We stare Deth in the face and prepare to start our work. I lay an ice trap, and start off by sending in Yuni, my shale spider, and hit concussive shot. Then she, being a mage, begins to start DPSing it and I do as well, we kite her back and forth till she is at 20%. I revive and dismiss my pet and go in for the tame, but I was too close and die. So we rez and mana/health up and prepare for the second attempt. Mind you no other hunter has come along or no griefers have tried to take her in this what seems like now 13 minutes. Same story this time, lay some traps, send in a pet, concussive shot.... my mage friend does some freezes, (by the way Mylune, I want to thank you for being the awesome guildy that you are! You helped inform me about Skarr and now helped me take on Deth a second time cause you are just that awesome!) SO we get her to 20% again, seemed to be a bit faster this time, so I revive and dismiss my pet to hear Mylune yell "Nooo! What are you doing?" I look up to see a fellow Alliance hunter rush in and start taming, she fails for aggro reasons, and I try to take it to tame, but now it won't let me!!! -Can't tame a pet already being tamed- ...........WTF we worked so hard!!! I kept trying and the hunter kept failing. I finally got aggro, and what happens? Deth dies right before my eyes!!!!! *cries* I told the hunter, "Why would you do that? We worked so hard getting her to 20%" and she responded "Cause I want to tame a thing thats tamable" and "I have every right to it too." Then I said, "Hey you didn't do and of the work though, you just cam in at 20% and thought you could get your pet cheap" ...she then responded "But you know I could report you for trying to kill a tameable rare" I gasped..... just gasped. I then said "But I was trying to tame her too!!!" -You have been ignored-

Firstly, I died once being too close to her during the first tame.... and this hunter was under her but trying to tame, I doubt she woulda survived. So They think me and my mage friend were trying to kill it? No, I wanted to tame her but the buff prevents me until she is at a certain %. So this person either doesn't know how to tame this thing and possibly thinks you can hit tame at 100% or I just don't know. Seriously...

I now have Deth's poor tear and I don't even want the 25g attached to it. I cried on Deth's corpse, cause that shouldn't have been the way it went down. That spider deserved a home. She ended up dead cause neither hunter could tame it.... and I have a bad feeling my mage friend tried to keep the aggro off of her, and a few more of my own gun shots sent her to death. I feel bad too... in the heat of it, Deth died cause we were trying to get aggro back to me so I could tame her. *Pulls hair out* Why blizz? Why make us go through that much trouble to get it to a tamable health to just have it stolen to the point of no return? No one came by for 15 minutes!!!! Yet they step in at 20% on the second try and say its anyones game. By all means try it from the start, but seriously, we as a group in our own party and communication had gotten her to the tamable health! And you just wanna hit your tame button then when its easy???!

...I'm gonna go sit in my corner and never try again. It hurts my stomach and even ruined my mage friends day.

It's okay Serenith, when I first found Deth, I kept being murdered by pvp druids. Second time, I died being too close, and another hunter nabbed the tame (which really made me wanna punch in my computer screen). All good things come in time, so dont worry about not being able to tame him the first time, and that person was a douch(excuse my french). Doing none of the work, and then killing it? That is reportable to my knowledge.
Okay, time for my day in MF,
I was in MF, and NPCscan goes off for Kirix. A horde hunter tamed from the rocks, and then went on to do his thing. I then go to the regrowth, and Banny goes off. I watch a Pally that was in my raid, and a hunter work to lower him, but what happens? Horde somehow f---s up tame, and steals tame. I wanted to take my computer, find that horde hunter, and then throw it at him. It made me sick to my stomach, and I want/ed to slap someone silly. As the old saying goes, Good people try, Bad people just take what you try for. (It's not old, it's just what my friend says, and it stuck)

True it was my first time finding her and I know people have had a harder time but seriously 15 minutes went by and no one tried until we had her at 20% and less which is when that hunter decided to step in. Yeah yeah, first time and it went wrong... I know there are people who still don't have her and have tried many times. Its just the nerve of that hunter to try and gain from our work. And then say they reported US for trying to kill it when I wanted to TAME it. >.<

Simple, show them the guide how to tame. Or have me explain it to them that you need to get it down to 20% to tame (Which probably isn't the best of ideas, because it will have a looooootttttt of swears in it....)

Or just ignore them, and watch them fail horribly at next tame. I always read up on patch notes/wowhead news, so I actually had to explain the Skarr/Karkin tame to a few friends =)
One word of advice to the people who reported you: Read up on the challenge tames.

I'd love to but after they told me they were reporting me for killing it, they put me on ignore. Maybe it will dawn on them later, that you have to damage that one before you can tame it.

Remember, I knew all about the tame based on everything I had read so I would be prepared. For them thinking I was trying to kill it when they rushed in at the 20% makes me think they knew nothing or knew enough to the point they could benefit from our work and time.

hey go go back and look at the pressies posts by me. i had my deth stolen 7 times by the same person!!!!! the he pulled out his stolen deths and spat and loled me! and the he let his friends kill him one time!

True. I have suicide jumped to bring banny down for a friend, and a horde ended up stealing tame. Either they knew nothing of how to tame, or just wanted a free tame with the work of nothing. But either way, I dont think you're gonna be banned. You did nothing wrong, when they DID speak before thinking for a moment.
@Starkittens, Yeah. That must've been stressful. When I first saw Deth, my father who was in Virginia at the time was calling, so I was both talking to him, and kiting evil spider of DOOM. and stress

That sucks, but I don't have the patience to read 21 pages of things gone wrong

. I know people have had this happen to them multiple times... Just hard to read a lot of this stuff cause its depressing.

This was actually the first time this happened to me. I was just venting my story cause I really couldn't stand that hunter thinking what they thought. After everything Mylune and I did right, they turned it into a pile of wrong and wanted to report us for it. Deth ended up dead in the end, so no one got the joy of a successful tame. Yes, I know how to do it, but this one time just makes me not want to try for any MF rare again. I can admire Deth from afar, I don't need to stress myself over obtaining it. At least I have Skarr, the only MF rare I really wanted, while Deth was second in line, none of the others impressed me enough to try. I thought I was truly lucky today, finding her untouched, and not have anyone come by for 15 minutes while we worked our magic on her... even dying once too, no one bothered us during our second attempt (until the last 20%). But I was wrong, cause it still got ruined.

@Serenith: As I said, good things come in time. If you want deth, and set your mind to it, you can get him. I personally was happy and done with MF when I got my Karkin. Omnomnomnoms is a good companion, and enjoys bashing in horde skulls. I wasn't too impressed with Deth till I saw him alone, then I died.

Hopefully you'll get Deth in the near future ^^

I was never impressed with spiders in general. Deth is like the only spider I would tame for Neyaari. Its got such pretty colorings to it, that I always thought if I saw it and no one was going for it I would want. I just didn't want the hassle of griefers and stuff to spend the effort only to lose, which ultimately happened to me. But I'm not really a fan of spiders to be honest, I just thought Deth was pretty and perhaps the one I could tolerate for my draenei. Neyaari has a shale spider which I think looks wonderful with her (*hugs Yuni* I'm so very sorry she had to die 4 times today for what seems like nothing) But Yuni is a tenacity pet, I figured Deth could be her cunning pet.... WAIT! Frick it... I'm gonna tame a spore bat for her and call it a day. They are cute. She did to have one once, but I can't remember why I got rid of it.

I dont like Spore Bats, I personally like Spiders because of there web spell. I also like Dragonhawks too. Both are brilliantly good at PVP, and NOW I NEVER HAVE TO GO TO H-MT AGAIN UNLESS I WANT THE WHITE CHOCOBO! >_>

I'm not really a PvP person though. I pick pets for RP purposes. A spore bat would fit nicely with Neyaari, whereas the spiders/dragonhawks not so much. I think they are kinda cute too. But I suppose I'm weird. (Mind you I am doing this to cheer myself up. *sigh*)

Eh, I'm on a PVP realm that shuns RPers, so I cant RP that much *shifty eyes* but I bond with every one of my pets, and Morrigan (aka Blue Madexx) is a power house, well Kirix would rather pick flowers.

I think my BE hunter attracts rarespawns.... ive had minor complaints about not seeing the rares i want to but im usually greeted by them the morning after xD Ive killed all the rares in Blasted Lands like 3-4 times ea. (cept Spiteflayer, saw him once, tamed him that one time, and have yet to see him since), its nice tho hehe :3

I was in need of a tenacity pet and i figured Grunter would be perfect, problem is i havent seen Grunter in a couple days and i almost never saw him till i had started my troll druid about a month ago but when i flew over he was strutin' his stuff alongside a hyena XD

Found Mojo the Twisted, Dreadscorn, and Ravage also which was nice, got me some superior BoE's to sell (no Spiteflayer tho qq i love that guy), but i dont know what to name Grunter, he has a pretty sassy attitude ive gathered, his idle movements are a lotta sniffing (his butt way in the air haha), and a lot of waving his head back and forth and bearing his tusks to whatever may be on either side of him
