Oh wait, you said body pull. I usually do more than body pull :|

yeah when it's just body pulling those tanks are fail >_<
Yeah, sounds like this tank was body pulling. Can't do that, especially if you don't have the gear/cds to make it to the rest points without needing heals, because otherwise, your healer WILL get aggro and probably die.

Yeah, that was my point. Any tank can hit the mobs somehow and maintain aggro through the necessary heals - spreading disease, swiping, laying down a couple of well timed consecrates or whatever - but it seems quite a few just expect to body pull through that damn place. Then they're surprised when I die. *sigh*

Yay my only upgrades for now are from PoS HC...Surgeons needle, sound familiar? Besides that it didn't drop. Yes we cleared the hill quite fine....okay I died once AGAIN. The tank was a first timer and told us about it. He was doing fine actually, if you don't count aggro problems.

We get into the cave and take the break point at the middle. We never get to the scourgelord why? I don't know every scourge is suddenly on me! Oh and our tank was alive as I died...our warlock after we ran in smartmouthed our paladin tank away.
Our other smartmouth hunter said it was my fault because I healed the tank when he was half dying. And does Wild Growth cause that much aggro these days?! Next time I am letting that hunter die because she needed the healing too.
Personally I think it's eithers fault...just bad luck.

The hunter said one word to me "aoe healing"....I'd love to get a better comment so I can better myself as a healer.
I've healed that one often Sonata. I'd say the tank was not geared enough. If I get a tank that sucks and almost dies through there I wait til they are reallllly low then I hit the move that lets me instant cast and throw a healing touch at him. If I get aggro I just heal myself and go bear run to the tank. But if your not a druid I'm not sure what to suggest if that is giving you trouble there.

Nature's swiftness is a godsend in there. I guess pallies and priests have similar heavy cooldown spells to insta-pop big heals? Anyway, my shammy and druid both rely on NS for the tunnel. It's just... a regrowth or earth shield will help immensely during the run (and spare me the stressed out "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD HE'S GONNA DIE POP EVERYTHING BIG" moment at the end) but they'll pull if the tank doesn't even breathe on the mobs, you know?

I had a funny incident, not a dungeon, but PvP. I'm in with my abandoned lvl 20 rogue in WG defending Flag. I see a hunter in heirloom robes and cloth shoulders. I ask him why he doesn't have Herod's shoulder or Breastplate, and I say that if he doesn't have the emblems its better to just wear leather. He says "I'm not 40 and therefore cannot where mail." I tell hi, uh, dude, you do know that shamans and hunters can wear mail heirlooms before 40. He insists otherwise and I yell, HAVE YOU TRIED IT?!?!? He says "Yes. It didn't work." (obviously he's lying since he would have been wearing them)
Ugggggghhhhh. You try to help people and they don't like it lol.

Nope.

Priests get PoM and bubble that are instant, but that's it. Both specs have an external cd for the tank, though (pain suppression for disc, guardian spirit for holy). At least they have fade.

Pallies can just bubble. >_< Beyond that, it's holy shock.

Yes I'm a druid so you hit the nail on the head, sadly I haven't tried any other healing besides offhealing as a shadowpriest.

That was actually the first time we ended in the tunnel...most of the times the hill is a failure because everybody attacks mobs at random.
We got to the disc, normally I don't heal much in the tunnel (unless on the disc since there I can heal without worries of ice falling on me) and walk beside the tank so if something sees me as a interesting target he picks it up.
I kinda take it like HoL with the slag runway...don't DO anything unless you are on the stairs.

But there were so many factors why that run went as it did, I just needed to vent it out.
I bet our tank had alot of stress because our hunter pulled mobs and it was his first time in the HC...freaking I was as nervous back then and I still fail sometimes. This includes DPS dying in Garfrost or somebody dying in Krick.

I just always take a moment to type out "clear stacks behind boulders" in pchat while we "mana up" (haha yeah, not me. Healers don't drink anymore, didn't ya know? ;)) before the pull. That way, I am blame-free when they die. I'm telling you, it works! :D

On my baby orc hunter last night who's only level 16 and was doing some dungeon groups to help build up her levels a little and maybe get some nicer gear. Get into a dungeon and the tank is a druid. And sure enough he first says "heals please". Then as we go through he says "comon people more dps". I was thinking to myself "is he serious?". No one says anything and we keep going on and he again says "uh more dps pls". I of course lost my patience and said "um please tell me you're joking. We're level 15-17. How much dps do you think we've got???" I can't remember the dungeon but it's the starter with the elements, worms and such. He got quiet after that and then just up and left when the dungeon was completed. /shakes head
I really hope this guy was new in the game and just didn't know any better.

Oh and what aslo didn't help in that dungeon is our healer bailed as soon as she leveled.

Was messing around on my lowbie warrior (now 65) and marvelling at how easy warriors are to tank with. Basically, this meant that I (generally) wasn't yelling at the pugs for running ahead of me and pulling mobs like I normally would. I try to do that so these people won't hit 80 and continue to piss off tanks by being in bad habits.

Anyway, the group that broke my patience was worse. There was a disc priest who queued as dps and who pulled the escort quest despite my warnings not to. But he was merely an annoyance. The resto druid is the one who got to me. He was level 67, which means he nicely outleveled Mana Tombs, the instance in question. What bothered me about him was that he had macros set up to yell at the tank for pulling while he was either a) drinking b) looting or c) mining. I could understand drinking, but the rest is a little silly; it's basically a warning that he's more concerned about his own agenda than actually doing his job. And the macro's content had an attitude with it, so it's not like he was even polite about it. On top of this, he was wearing a good amount of feral gear, so as you can imagine, he ran out of mana more often than a tree normally would. Plus he wasn't using lifebloom at all, which meant he wasn't getting mana back from it. In addition to all of this fail, he had the nerve to tell me to keep aggro on mobs when the terrible priest died on an extra pull. See, the dps opening up early meant that I couldn't pull the mobs back as far as I'd like, so when we got feared, there were occasionally extra packs pulled. I got the extras under control pretty quickly, so no one died to melee swings. The casters hit off-targets to mana burn/shadow word: pain them, which is what killed the priest. I was shockwaving on cooldown and interrupting what I could, so there wasn't much else I could do as a tank. Not too many pulls later, he told me to stop pulling and wait....then he dropped group. Pretty classy guy. We picked up a pretty decent shaman healer after that, but he didn't drop tremor. He bailed after the escort was started early. The priest then decided to queue as a HEALER (amazing, yes? a disc priest healing!) and actually did a pretty decent job (no one died), which ALMOST made up for the fact that he started the escort early.

There was also a shaman who healed Underbog as enhancement. I guess he did okay, since I didn't even notice until the end, when he said something about dual wielding earthliving being overpowered. Still, there were deaths. >_<

There's something about queuing as a tank that attracts all sorts of dodgy healers. -_-

Image temporarily MIA until I get around to editing it

So.

Yeah.

For those who missed it; long story short, we failed to skip trash in PoS heroic, Coal is evidently a mage who can heal and to quote tank 'I destroy everything'

Edit; image back up. Colors = class.

Didn't see a reason to edit out my own name so <_>

It's so awesome knowing EXACTLY what happened just from the broken dialogue. Didn't even need the line to confirm what instance it was.

That dk is a complete moron, lol. I'm surprised the group didn't kick HIM before the hunter left.

I don't know. <_>

and Kalliope; yeah but here lemme help clarify how this joy exactly came about.

Tank said; we're skipping trash.

I was like thank god yay. So we down krick and ick; we go to loot, while I'm checking the loot everyone;'s mounted up but that's fine they're still waiting right? As I'm asking; can I roll need for OS? to be polite about the feral bracers that dropped...

DK, pally and hunter zoomed off. The mage BARELY reacted in time and yeah well, I was left in the dust. No 'everyone ready?' no 'everyone mounted up?' no nothing. Hunter tried to blame me and I just did an exasperated 'Usually people wait or ask if everyone is ready!'

the hunter quickly stfu'd.

Ah, couldn't actually tell that part; it looked like the pally had been the one who fell behind.

People who skip should know to wait for any stragglers. >_< (Regardless of the reason they're straggling.)

Then as you can see that's when the fun started.

Heh, that's the mistake right there. They should have just started clearing the packs while you ran back. PROBLEM SOLVED!
