sometimes denmark makes me very very sad..

i know its better then living in Africa but sometimes ppl just makes me feel soo poor and worthless.

i cant work cause im sick... but my sickness is not regonize aka im on the lowest social service benefits there is.. and they are talking about cutting that down..

on topic sort of....I finally bit the bullet and went to the damned dr. Contrary to what i thought it was not my asthma but a severe sinus infection, hence my inhaler not working. So I'm in a lot of pain and can't breathe but the antibiotics should kick in soon. On the slightly up side the entire process only cost me 100$, 83 for the urgent care and 20 for the prescription, though after my dr tried to kill me by prescribing codeine cough syrup should be free(j/k lol)

The cable box is dying. Mom keeps putting off getting it repaired/replaced. I NEED THE CABLE BOX TO WORK ON ART COMMISSIONS. Just waiting for the "lol, get a job." bullshit to start X|
Because apparently my family thinks art is so far in to hobby territory it's not even a FAKE job.
At least it will be replaced once it starts cutting into moms WoW time.

All I'm going to say about the government shutdown is that I'd love it if our Congress would stop going "I'M GUNNA HOLD MY BREATH..." about every little thing they don't like/were told not to like/were given money so they wouldn't like it despite the interests of the country they said they wanted to represent.

Ahem. But no, I'm sorry for other countries that have to deal with our government being the equivalent of a bunch of ornery, brain damaged weasels thrown in a bag of pins. (Can you tell I've been watching a lot of Zero Punctuation recently?)

My rant- the shipping people said my computer was going to arrive a day early. Then they changed their minds after letting my poor computer sit in a office TWO HOURS from my house for an entire day, and said it'd actually not arrive a day early at all.

I know it's not their fault, but I'm still upset because I want my computer I want it nooowwwww.

as a German I know that I have no say in your actions, but as a travel agent I would strongly suggest you open your National Parks again. We have several customers on their holiday in California, Nevada and wherever not being able to access their booked and paid for hotels. The calls we get from them aren't nice to answer and we can't do shit aobut opening a National Park. Sorry dear customer, no I can't make America open the National Park for you. No I won't try. No I don't know if you get your money back.

As a Canadian with a number of American friends: first and foremost, I am sorry for the shit Congress is putting them through. It's unbelievable, really - but I understand that there's nothing they can do about it. Not without an overhaul of the system.

And yeah, I'm sure the rest of the world is concerned about the possible consequences of what's going on right now, mostly regarding the debt ceiling. Our economy is somewhat tethered to that of the US, and it's probably the same for many other countries, to some degree.

Agreed. Healthcare should be for everyone not just the very rich. Its so sad that the average american has to fork out 100's to see a flippin doctor and some can't aford their medicine (I saw 'Sicko' by Michael Moore and was so shocked!) So blessed to have Medicare in Australia and be able to aford Private Health if we so choose.

And yeah if America defaults (7 days time) could be very bad for everyone. Not so much here but China kinda owns America debt wise and we sell all our stuff to China so...should just have a system like we do. Government comes to power, delievers a budget - fuck what the other side thinks cause well they lost .

Work wise it affects us as Libraries draw resources from 3 main libraries here - Libraries Australia, Te Puna (NZ) and Library of Congress >.>

Actually the only thing i've heard from a NZ PM was when a boat load of refugee's rocked up and they had a map for New Zealand and Canada. His comment was "Well they aren't fucking coming here!" Classic.

Te Puna is a great resource though. I think it's technically called the National Library of New Zealand but Te Puna sounds cooler imo

It's actually kind of weird here, things took a plunge when the health care system got turned into a business, add to that the ability to sue over every little thing and costs have sky rocketed. There are some medical professionals who have decided to go back to the old way, they do not accept insurance but they work with their patients to cover costs, and it turns out to be much cheaper than having 30 freaking middle men.
