I like your name better too :)

There's a HUGE number of plant (and fungus) creatures in the game now. I've often thought they should have a kind of "plant" category for them, rather than calling them elementals. The link to elementals is extremely tenuous and seems to be more about not knowing where else to put them. Then they could maybe allow druids to have them as pets.

Oh that would be really neat!

Something like a "Guardian of Nature (aka. Druid's Dire beast) spell/talent that summons a random native "Flora" guardian of the area to help out in a fight. :)

Not really relevant to this thread, but has this pretty dark indigo version of the flydra been published yet? I really like it!

Also a more bluish one, but still quite similar to the green in format:

And a purple & yellow:

Your blue link still is the old bugged one with the Megaera skin. This is the blue one that works: http://www.wowhead.com/#modelviewer:1:55460:0:10+0

Thanks, but that model does work now. Maybe you were looking at a cached version?

Well I finally got some files downloaded and can datamine a bit.

The most interesting thing I discovered was that the new "creepy reptilian" chimaera mount makes a perfectly good wild beast when its saddle is removed. Click on the picture to see a larger image:

I have to say, looking at it in more detail, I think it's beautiful! It seems to have far higher detail than the furry model. Compare:

In fact I'd go so far as to say I think the furry one almost looks like a vanilla model chimaera in comparison!

I do like the body shape of the reptilian one better, but I admit I miss the fluff :)

This for me. I just think the look emaciated.

That skinny thing compared to this.

Or this

I love the new Chimera's faces and wing details but their emaciated body is really off putting. Like a flying NR worn but worse.

At least that's my opinion

I think the skinny thing is so they can make them more sinuous, like a cloud serpent. They do move very nicely as a result.

I have to agree that although I love them, they look too skinny. I know they need to have some snake like movements and on a practical level less bulk is better for flying, but they look half starved. I feel like if I were to try and ride one it would rip itself in two upon takeoff. >.< Someone make that poor thing a sandwich.
