My uncle now wants to spray my cat with poison... Despite the fact that she already HAS flea meds, the fleas are coming from HIS DOG, and a spray would just get licked off without ever getting near the skin and the fleas. I swear he just can't stand anything female not submitting to his braindead manchild wants...

Whelp already saw my first "WoW's new graphics suck, Guild wars 2's graphics are better" comment today. >.>

I mean yeah maybe they might be but by the time WoW's X-pack comes out GW2's would be "outdated" anyway so it's kind of pointless to say that? I know it's a troll but still.

Least WoW's style is not "generic fantasy" style I guess and that's a plus.

If you look carefully, GW2's graphics aren't even that great. It's the art style that makes it look good. And yes, while I do enjoy the art style of that game and did play it for a while myself, there was nothing about it that screamed '100% unique' to me, unlike WoW. You look at a screenshot of WoW and you already know what game that is. It's recognisable. And it's updated graphics make it even more so.

The cartoony and artsy style would make loads of people think that it's got 'bad graphics' and that it's 'lazy'. But, believe me, I know from personal experience, creating cartoon-style assets can be even harder than realistic ones. WoW is NOT lazy and anyone that thinks so can't be bothered to do their research. I study to create assets for video games, I know from first hand experience how hard these things can be and how fantastic a lot of Blizzard's new models are.

I know someone who created a 3D model of Courage the Cowardly Dog once for a video game. Apparently it's one of the hardest things he's had to do.

The only thing that does still confuse me is why they took so long to create the new player models! xD

*nodnod* WoW has always been heavily stylized, and I love that Blizzard's stuck with that unique appearance. It's immediately recognizable and I think allows them a lot more flexibility in design, giving us so many incredible fantasy areas with lots of colour and artistic freedom, while many games that lean towards a more realistic style tend to look muddy and drab.

It's not about better or worse graphics, it's just preference of style. I really enjoy the look of GW2, but I'm also very fond of WoW's image and it remains the game I'm most attached to.

The game has aged remarkably well in all consideration, and the newer models are looking phenomenal.

The newer models are going to make the game last longer I think.

I do know if you showed a screenshot of GW2 and a bunch of other MMO's with that kidn of style people sometimes have a hard time knowing what one is what. It's that kind of style that a lot of games use. "semi realism" I guess you could call it.

Not saying they are bad just uh samey? I dunno.

I'm just going to say that I feel like GW2 gets too much hate for SOME of its players. I cannot count just how many times a new MMO will come out or the video for it will be on YouTube and there's always that ONE guy that goes. "Lul it's gunna suck. WOW rules.". This is VERY true EVEN if nobody has mentioned WoW what so ever. The game's are different like FFS stop comparing them I like them both. If I'm looking to play a new MMO I don't need some random guy cramming down my throat it'll never beat WoW because to be honest I don't care.

Well quite frankly I've seen way more "Lul it's gunna suck. GW2 rules." now then I do it for WoW. The amount of "this is the big game changer that will shape MMO's for ever" kind of thing. When it really was not XD

EDIT: I want to make it very clear I'm not hating on the game even tho I do find it very over hyped I'm complaining that the people bitching about WoW's new upgrade and comparing it to GW2 and saying GW2's is better when I don't think they are.

Then after this it would be "what suit for Catwoman to use". Harley quinn will be easy.

i'm so upset that we know so little about what's going on with belves bc like
the sunwell!!! was restored!!! was that even shown in game idk but it was restored!!! what does that mean for belves??? will they go back to arcane magic??? can they be made high elves again???

and like there was a quest line where someone!!! fixed a wretched!!! i can't remember if he was turned back into a high elf or became a blood elf but they fixed a wretched!!!

why are we not talking about these things like these are huge things wHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE BLOOD ELVES???

Even so. Those feet look like they have like.. an infection and they're walking around on the puss filled lumps. Paws do not look like that. Nothing could evolve to walk around like that. It's terrible D:

Well my rant kind of evolved into "I'm getting sick of peopel saying GW2 is this big game changer and is best MMO ever in everything now"

It's replaced WoW for that title now it really has XD

Whoops this topic is still relevant. Go figure. As for the argument, I dunno. WoW was the staple MMO for years. Whenever a new game comes out, it will always be "This is better/worse than WoW." Until it dies and something else becomes the new WoW. I mean, I guess that's how it is? But in all seriousness, does it matter? People play what they want. If you don't like the graphics in something, someone else adores it. Who cares? I've currently been on a hiatus on WoW in favor of GW2 because a lot more friends play GW2 right now and I'm having way more fun. And you know what? When the new expansion comes out, I'll play WoW for a bit. It is actually not a huge deal.
