Whoops this topic is still relevant. Go figure. As for the argument, I dunno. WoW was the staple MMO for years. Whenever a new game comes out, it will always be "This is better/worse than WoW." Until it dies and something else becomes the new WoW. I mean, I guess that's how it is? But in all seriousness, does it matter? People play what they want. If you don't like the graphics in something, someone else adores it. Who cares? I've currently been on a hiatus on WoW in favor of GW2 because a lot more friends play GW2 right now and I'm having way more fun. And you know what? When the new expansion comes out, I'll play WoW for a bit. It is actually not a huge deal.

No it does not matter at all XD Tho it can get very draining when you bring it up in a Livestream and a person goes "ugh WoW sucks, GW2 better" >.> Or "ugh GW2 sucks, WoW better" XD

Well originally the rant was about WoW's/GW2's graphic style, not about which one's better. I added in just to state my distaste for everyone who is ill informed and thinks that because WoW's graphics are cartoony/stylised, they're not 'good'. It grinds my gear because I'm wanting to be an asset creator/artist. >:

While WoW will always be 'my' MMO that nothing could possibly beat, GW2 was pretty good. I got bored fast but might give it another go one day.

Hmm yes that is indeed a thing people think. Same goes with Detailed = better when it comes to things like animation. I mean when it comes to animation too much detail is a lot of times bad XD

Like it's pretty damn hard to make a simple not that detailed character that both looks good and works well! There is a lot of skill involved in making something like that.

That is one of the reasons most cartoons don't have huge amounts of detail on the characters. You'd spend too much time animating them and not doing anything else

Yeah I'm in the same basket. WoW was my first online game and one I actively played on the PC, before that everything i played was on console. I just love wow and always will. I too have GW2 but got bored. I have other games as well that I go back to occastionally (Star wars, skyrim, dragons prophet) but WoW is my baby.

Like Cow said doesn't matter what a game looks like, if you enjoy it and enjoy the game play then who cares! I grew up on Atari games and still get my old 7800 out occastionally cause I love them. Doesnt matter if the graphics are crap, shooting asteroids is still fun ^.^ But yeah I'm abit over the "wow killer" comments and comparisons. If something is as good as it says then it will stand alone and not have to be compared to anything else. My 2c.

Good idea actually. I should get fridge magnet letters. People in this house are fucking dumb, it's time I start writing angry notes on the fridge because they apparently can't do anything. Like who actually pours remains of bacon and egg DOWN THE DRAIN? No one does.

Oh, and stupid-house-mates, don't leave your dishes to fill up the sink. Some people use the sink to *wash* their dishes, did you know? And I don't want to have to move all of yours just so I'm able to do mine. Next time, I'll put them in the bin. Sound good? Good.

Oh, and stupid-house-mate #1, wash yourself every now and then. There's a shower right there. Use it. I can smell you before I can see you.
Aaand stupid-house-mate #2, stop being such an obnoxious, pompous little prick. No one likes you.

(Conclusion, in case anyone is interested. I share a uni house with my boyfriend, a friend from last year, his girlfriend, a friend from my class and her boyfriend. Friends are both okay, but their partners are unbelievable. One of them never showers and leaves the house once a year (roughly) and the other is a posh, stuck-up git who has a general 'I'm better than you' attitude no matter what's going on around him. But they're all messy.)

I'm upset... Back before I had a job, I shared a WoW account with my father. I worked my ass off for many mounts and spent plenty of treasure on some too. Then, they made them account bound, so when I finally go my own account and transferred my main toons I lost ALL of my mounts and my father got too keep ALL of them, including the ones he didn't even earn... Before I transferred, I also recruited a friend, and my dad got to pick from the rewards last night and there was this Emerald Hippogriff that I didn't know existed and it was BEAUTIFUL. But, even though I recruited the friend, since it was on my dad's account, he got the reward. I lost all of my mounts, I can't reap the benefits from things I did for Blizzard, I just want to cry. This has made me want to quit WoW. I probably won't but it just sucks when I think about all that hard work and dedication I put into my mount collection (I've played since Vanilla) and all for what? Nothing. I lost all of them except for the achievement mounts (THANK GOD i didn't lose them too...)

Didn't get any sleep at all last night and omfg I rolled over in the spot I was lying on and it was the greatest feeling in that moment when I did, I felt so warm and fuzzy and perhaps maybe comfortable enough to actually get a tiny bit of sleep and fucking alarm goes off. I only got to sit in that great position (which was me just rolling over onto my stomach and changing what direction my head was looking in) for seriously only like 3-5 seconds. I'm going to freaking murder someone.

I really can't be bothered explaining to you each and everyday what I do. All you see is the dirty dishes and laundry that needs to get put away. What I see is the bathroom counters wiped free of toothpaste/soap/water from the many times our daughter "washes" her hands. I see the cleaned litterbox, fed pets, and wiped off table. I see the floor that has been cleared of toys about a dozen times before lunch, the cloths that have been cleared off the floor and put back in the bathroom...I see many things. I wish you could see what I see...maybe then you wouldn't think I just sit on my ass playing video games all the time.
