Umm, wow. Okay. I don't know why Kireyne feels that I meant her/him in my general rant post, especially considering I've never dealt with them before? I've never been given OR gifted a dragon from them. Heck, I don't even think I've spoken to them before. -shrugs- Personally I consider trying to take back a dragon gifted OR given away rude unless it was agreed upon, but once again, no idea who you are, so unless you're the person on FR trying to convince me to give back a dragon.....

And apparently this is why I should stay away from Petopia.

Edited to add: If for some reason Kir still feels this is about them please pm me. I'm not out to cause drama and honestly am 90% certain the person I was ranting about wasn't a petopian and therefore was safe to rant here, but even so I don't like to name names and definitely not public ally.

I'm well confused too o.O Paw, you're one of the nicest people I've spoken to on here and FR - heck, I've rarely seen you get ranty about anything, nevermind another person :/ I also think that if you give away a dragon on the free thread, then its gone - its like a sale but without money being exchanged. Unless its been agreed beforehand, then its up to the new owner to give it back should they want to - if they don't then I'm sorry, its tough luck. I've even rehomed dragons through there with the agreement that I get first dibs on them should they need to move on again, only to find they have been exalted or sold on without me knowing. It stung the first few times, but then I realised, I had relinquished my rights to the dragon when I accepted the crossroads.

The free to new homes thread to me is just that. It's 'rehoming' dragons to people who will use them instead of just exalting them - its not a "hey, store my dragon and feed it until I decide I want it back again" thread Think long and hard about putting dragons in the free thread - if you aren't ready to be rid of them forever, then don't offer them - simples!

Sometimes I feel this community is slipping - time and again entitlement raises its ugly head What happened to the happy place? What happened to common sense?!

I think frustration is the answer often. PPL should think before they post/say/do something. I refuse to let the game get to me.. because its JUST A GAME. Its pixel on a screen.. If it ruins my life then its not a game anymore.

This below is not ment for anyone particular but is some of the things which helps me stay in the game and on this forum

Take a breath, be kind to ppl - even if they are unkind to you. Shudder your shoulders when ppl do something mean to you and just decide not to help them out again. I have a few ppl i wont be helping out alot but i dont sweat about it.

The more kind and helpful i try to be, the better i feel.

Many petopians are like family to me so take care of eachother and be kind

In general, it's a bit of a faux pas to rant on the "Rant Thread" about people ranting. If you don't like it, then please don't come onto the thread. Its sole purpose is for those of us on FR to be able to have a safe place to vent our frustrations. And, if I'm being bluntly honest, I almost took the original post a bit personally as well at first, being that it was posted just below my own comment. In the end, I didn't, but I can certainly see where it could have been miss-interpreted. It all comes down to the fact that you just need to be careful what you post sometimes. I know I did something similar once on accident and offended someone here when I was referring to something that happened on FR that was completely unrelated. My best advice - use common sense and try to avoid broad generalizations. I certainly learned that the hard way.

Thanks Zhuge and Tarn. There were apparently things going on behind the scenes that I didn't know about. It's fine, it's just whatever at this point. I was right and my post had nothing to do with a fellow Petopian, but apparently I've pissed a few people off now. I should have put a disclaimer I suppose, but I was frustrated and irritated that a dragon I'd had since November was being demanded back and after a few other events by that friend I was frustrated and looking to rant. Apparently I picked a bad place. I apologize.

400+ chests I opened today. Only got 1 egg, and that was one that I didn't click with. Still need the lavaborne hoax, and it won't drop. How sad is it that I really want another egg just for the fun and hope of getting a beauty I can click with for my lair. After 400+, I had my hopes up for better. I'd expect that sort of rng with 100, but over 400...ughhhhh.

I mean... REALLY?!? No Nocturne in this game IMHO, is worth that unless someone used a scroll on a very low ID or something and probably not even then. Certainly no current Nocturnes with the market bottoming out the way it is. Good luck with that is all I have to say. Geez, some people. Trying to take advantage of other people's interest.

I completely understand that some people don't want to sell their dragons, no matter the offer. But simply say that. No one is going to pay that much for a nocturne so why even bother wasting peoples' time and leading them on like that.

It's just a shame that person had to hatch your dream dragon.

i hate coming off greedy - its super hard to sell dragons to other petopians and not come of as mr. scrooge... ..eventhough i sometimes take half the price the dragons are in ah i still feel bad charging ppl huge amount for dragons .. like my nocs.. but at the same time i feel like i want to be paid so i dont miss the oppertunity for money when its there

I can share that sentiment Tarn. I'd love to just give all my dragons away for free to people here, and even when I do ask for money it's always for half of what I have them on the AH for so it's really hard for me to earn the funds I need to take care of my own project dragons.

Oh Tarn That's why I always try and meet the AH asking price and double check that Petopians are ok with the discount If they are current content breeds, genes and colours then the sellers deserve every penny! I'm also more than happy to do payment plans and/or trades to the value of the hatchling

No one should ever feel greedy - its only a game but it takes lots of effort and time to get anywhere, and this deserves rewarding!
