Wow. I really don't see why Fennekin's evolution is getting so much hate. I think it looks pretty good, from what we've seen of it. Which, by the way is.. Really just a low quality version of its in-game sprite, last I checked. Try to wait until we get GOOD pictures of the starters before judging them as "ugly" or "ruined", maybe?

But yeah. Definitely fond of Fennekin's evolution. It's so fluffy! <3

Well not everyone's going to like a final evolution. I personally don't like it's uber long ear hair and its skirt myself. I much prefer the fan evolutions of it. Braxien I like a lot but I don't like the final evolution in the least.

So far Froakie will probably be my starter because I find Geninja really cute.

I realize that. I never said EVERYONE had to love every single evolution. There's admittedly some starters that I'm not all THAT fond of when it comes to fully evolved forms. But it just seems a little bit early to truly judge Fennekin's evolution and its design, wouldn't you say? We have such a terrible picture of it, it's actually hard to tell the details of it. Not liking it is fine, but I think saying it's "ruined" is a bit much, especially before we have a good look at it. But then, that's just me. *Shrugs*

Hrm... At first glance, I didn't know what to think of Delphox. But after seeing Greninja and Chesnaught which, in my opinion, both look RIDICULOUS, I know I've got my heart set on it. My only problem is that I'm very, very fond of Braixen - I think I like that form even better than Fennekin. But until I see a video of them (Apparently they're out there somewhere.) I'm not calling them legit. But if they are official, it's almost very tempting to not evolve Braixen at all. Get her a good nature, a good ability and some sweet moves. I dunno. Fennekin is definitely the one for me, I just don't know if I want the last evolution or not yet.

As for Greninja, wow, I'm disappointed. The tongue-scarf-thing is silly. I knew he'd end up being a ninja/rogue, since I figured ages ago that Fennekin would be like a witch/wizard, Froakie a rogue and Chespin a paladin/warrior. But eh, I kinda hoped he'd be more 'rogue' than 'ninja'. Also Chesnaught just looks uber ridiculous. Nothing more to be said on that. x___x

Also all these Facebook arseholes spamming about how 'Pokémon Y buyers suck now because they won't have Mega-Charizard X' are making me look really bad. When it comes to Pokémon, I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go for looks over type/ability/whatever. I honestly don't care for that stuff if I find a Pokémon I love the look of. And I'm a huge fan of bright colours mixed with black, so the second I saw Mega-Charizard X, I was in love. I knew straight away that kiddies everywhere would want it cause 'IT'S BLACK AND LOOK BADASS' but to me it's just perfect. I love the Y version too, but since I already pre-ordered X months ago when I decided I wanted Xerneas, I don't have much choice anyway. I hate kids who make other people look bad like this. :/ I do prefer Mega-Mewtwo Y over X though, but eh, I'm not a big Mewtwo fan, I'm not very bothered by that.

Also also, thanks to Mega-Charizard X's black form, I have a small feeling that mega forms will not be shiny. I mean if a shiny Mega-Charizard Y is just black, it'll look a lot like the X form anyway. I dunno, just a feeling, we'll have to wait and see since the only shiny we've seen so far anyway is Sylveon.

I think my overall issue with this generation's final forms is how...humanoid they all are. I've never personally been a big fan of humanoid pokemon, I prefer them more as animals. Froakie's final evolution isn't too bad since frogs already have that sort of shape, so I'm relieved it's the choice I've stuck with from the beginning.

Still, I'm not upset or anything, there's so many other new ones this gen that look really amazing, I'm excited to see all of them.

Same for me, really. After we saw the second evos I realised they were going to be humanoid whether I liked it or not, so I just learned to deal with it and, hey, I ended up really liking Braixen. I was set with Fennekin from the get-go so I'm glad I won't have to change my mind last minute.

I dunno, I think they will still be Shiny. What if you wanted to Mega Evolve your beloved Shiny Pokemon? It wouldn't really be fair to have it look non-Shiny all of a sudden. I think it would be kinda cool for Mega Charizard Y to be black/red (Mostly because I have my heart set on one of them... ;u;), with Mega Charizard X looking more like normal Charizard. They're be sorta like the Shiny Nidoran lines, trading their colour schemes! (Okay except for Shiny Nidoqueen. Silly thing, being green and pink. XD) May be wrong on it, but I sincerely hope Megas will be Shiny. /2 cents

Froakie is the only starter I find that looks good. Imo the others look really badly designed. They just look really bad >.< Fennekin's being the worst looking and thank god I find the first form to be not to my liking! I'm so glad for once in gens I've found a starter that I've liked all forms!

I dunno I think I have to agree with Vephriel I mean Frogs kind of have that humanoid shape ya know? To me if I was designing Fennekin Id make it humanoid form the get go instead of being a four legged thing.

If - I'd probably take X, just for the box-legendary, although I actually like Y charizard and mewtwo better.

now i just have 1 question sense we are rideing on some pokemon from what i have seen in trailers and such will the horse pokemon ponyta and rapidash be ridable and when we use surf will we be rideing on our surf pokemon not a tube.like say i ride a gyarados.just thought i through that question out there sense this is more 3D.also for the filler verson of X and Y some people say its Z will there be a Z mega forms?charziard could have a serpent dragon like body for example to fit the Z.

i have not been following EVERY news so if i am slow or late don't be elites about it.i am just getting back into pokemon.

I'm pretty sure Spritzee's perfume theme is from the plague doctor idea. The beak (which was preserved in its evolution!), if it's based off of the plague doctor beak, would fit that perfectly- as the beak mask that plague doctors wore were filled with perfume-like herbs to keep "bad air" away.
