I wouldn't even be that bothered if she hadn't literally just told us she can't afford it and then goes ahead and pre-orders the PS4. I mean, I can't afford Christmas presents for friends this year either, which I'm sad about as I've always done it, but I needed that money for the deposit for my next house, so... :/

Oh trust me. I'd be really bothered and I'd probably confront her about it too if it were me cause that just seems greedy as hell on her end. I've got no money for xmas presents cause I dont have a job. :<

Well, I *am* getting gifts for people, for my boyfriend, mum and sister at least. I also always do a Christmas stocking for my mum and there's no way I'm skipping on that this year just cause I'm low on money. But that's all I can afford. I'm getting tubs of chocolates for friends since I can't afford anything better. D: And a few of us can't afford gifts this year, so I think she's just caught on to that or whatever and assumed it's okay not to get things for people. While I honestly, really don't care for getting gifts anymore (I'm old enough to realise I prefer getting things for people than receiving them.) it is pretty annoying that that does seem to be her excuse for not doing it. I'm not bothering with a PS4 until I can afford it/you don't have to pre-order anymore/it's cheaper.

So, dunno why, but apparently my skype (at least for my mom-no one else has mentioned this) has been bouncing on/off and its making her angry. I don't see anything wrong from my end, and can only guess that it might be when my screen saver turns on that it causes skype to go "offline" however since my screen saver usually stays on for awhile, I don't see how that would be bouncing me on/off as much as my mother claims...However I checked for messages on skype today and was rather upset to see this from my mother:

"Ok..This is really bordering on the rude side! Please! Stop SKYPE from popping up every second!!! It is really intrusive and bothersome!!!"

To which I replied:

"well I can set myself to "offline" all the time instead of "online" and if you need to get a hold of me, send a txt as I don't check skype very much unless its flashing orange.
Besides, nothing is stopping you from going to the notification setting and turning things off there. Which I think is border line rude that your getting mad at me for something that you can fix on your end."

I use to be set to offline all the time before, but then my mom got mad that I was never "online" so I go "online" and now she's complaining again...I am just so fucking sick of her constant complaining about stuff.
Oh your never online, oh we never talk, oh your bouncing on/off make it stop, you never text (and when I do, I wake her up, and she complains about that-diff time zones), your never on facebook...HOW many time do I need to say that "I AM NOT A SOCIAL PERSON" before you clue in!

I like petopia because there are people I have similar interests with and can talk about that, but when it comes to my Mom and her side of the family, I don't have a lot in common with any of them. I am not being anti-social to be rude, I just honestly don't really have anything to talk to them about. I don't like facebook (at least where my family is concerned) because I have no interest in seeing 10 different pictures of their dinner, or their kid on the same playground equipment from a slightly different angle, or some gossip about this other person...

Anyhow feeling pissed off at my Mom right now.

Go, Snowy! It's good to know you're not letting low money stop you from doing that for your mother and friends. ^_^ I'm sure your friends will appreciate the chocolate even if it 'isn't much', it's the thought behind the gesture that counts, after all.

My own gripe -- Dear person across the street blaring your music: STOP IT! Seriously, just STOP IT. You're VERY damn lucky I can't call the cops on you, because it's not past eight at night. ALL I can hear of whatever the hell you're listening to is the goddamned base and I HATE THAT. It's terrible sounding, it's distracting due to my sensitive hearing, and I moved out of where I used to live to get away from this exact crap! I don't see why nobody else on this street is bothered by it, but it is really making me angry. *growls and puts her headphones on*

My rant: Not even sure this belongs here, but this time last year a few of my kitties got really really sick. My favorite kitty passed just after the new year. Now it's the anniversary of all that mess, and I have another kitty in the hospital and the Dr. can't decide whether it's pneumonia or heart disease/cancer. The x-rays show patchy spots in the lung and around the heart, and it could be either. They threw a bunch of meds at her and will re-x-ray in the morning, and meanwhile she's so stressed out she can hardly breathe at all (she was coughing at home, but there she's laboring for each breath due to the stress). And I have to leave her there. They plan to re-x-ray in the morning. And the bill...I don't even wanna know. It was 300 and that was BEFORE I left work this afternoon. With all the meds and the need to re-xray tomorrow....I'm gonna have to start looking for pennies under the sofa....

On one side we have someone who likes to turn their base right up at like 11 AM and on the other side is a house full of screaming girls who sit out on the low roof and laugh like hyenas. x___o It's terrible. It doesn't happen often, but when it does... *Shudder* Just bang on the wall or something, seems to work sometimes hehe.

Dang exchange rates. Also why is shipping from the states so dang costly XD But on the other hand watching the tracker of your package going through all the states is fun.

I don't know if it's because you grew up in a different era guided by mysoginistic views but it's a new day and age my friend and you are this close to pushing me over my breaking point! Yes, I am a woman but that doesn't mean my opinions and values are any less important.

I am a GREAT wife ... one of the best in fact ... and your son is happy and well taken care of! I'll never be the perfect little trophy wife your mother was. I won't spend every waking second looking picture perfect, standing in the kitchen, waiting to serve a man at his beck and call! You expected this kind of behavior from your own wife and look what that got you! Stop making me feel like I am never going to be good enough! All you do is sit on your damn ass and not do a f---ing thing! I get it, you deserve to spend your retirement as you see fit but when your heater has been out for two months and the ceiling is in danger of collapsing because of water damage ... there's a problem! You have the money. I know you do because you spend it on stupid sh-t like golfing with your buddies every other weekend. Your own marriage failed for a reason. Just because you worked and brought home a paycheck once upon a time doesn't mean we should all bow down and kiss your ass!

You're welcome! Thankfully, whoever the joker behind it is doesn't do it everyday, and it doesn't last too long, but still, when it goes on, it's so annoying. And I'm sorry you're stuck between a rock and a hard place like that, blech!

Back when we lived in an apartment complex, oh god, the moron in the apartment on our left would turn his music and/or TV up at night every single night. I called the cops on him three friggin' times (they were no help at all), and reported him to the landlord (who did nothing, friggin' b----es!) five times. And once time, he had the nerve to take his son out at 2 AM underneath my bedroom window to play ball! I got after him about it, and what did he say? "You don't have to yell." Um... I didn't yell, and yes, I did need to get after you for doing something so d---ish, otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten ANY sleep! I'm so, so glad we got out of there, I would've gone mad if we hadn't. And the sad thing? That apartment complex used to be so peaceful.

Sounds similuar to my mother-in-law actually haha! My fiance is FIFO (8 days away, 6 days home) and shes soooo worried he does too much when hes home...what? He cooks, cleans and fixes things not because I make him but because he wants to. No I'm not going to "get someone in" to change a fucking lightbulb cause you think your precious son shouldnt do it (im scared of heights so I live in darkness till hes home ) She once mentioned to me "oh when Robert worked away I did EVERYTHINg so he could just rest when he was home" Thats great, I work all day when hes home and last time I checked my watch its 2013 not 1950. Its called a partnership for a reason ya know. I did 2 years of doing everything alone when he was on a 2 week on, 1 week off roster and I'm well and truely over that! So yeah I'm expected to be the perfect housewife and work full time. yeah not gonna happen sorry!

Cow: Not trying to rant on your rant but I'm with the cat man, kitties should be kept indoors. Sorry but i see way too many dead kitties on the road recently and its just so horrible. Also my neighbours kittens drive me nuts breaking garden pots and pooping in my garden beds, she leaves them out all day and night. They fight with the other cats and drive everyone nuts. Both my cats live indoors and I see nothing wrong with that. Dogs can be fenced in, cats kinda can't. (not trying to start a rant arguement but thats just the other side of the coin )

No the man wants to end up getting them banned because they are a danger to the wildlife. Yes I get that they kill birds and stuff but so do dogs and yet no one ever brings that up. He'd rather see all cats killed in NZ because he hates them and the reason he's on the news is because he is rich. I'm not even joking here he's said it on the raido an stuff.


He also wants to turn Steward Island into a "predator free zone" IE all cats will be killed on site yet leave all the dogs and people on the island they don't hurt wild life at all

It's not a case of saving wildlife it's a case of cat hate.


Don't think that I'm angry I'm just telling you a bit about the man I fully understand your points too. :3

I just think if you are going to ban cats you might as well ban dogs and everyother thing that's bad for the wildlife too.
