Aegislash has two forms...Shield Forme, which is its default....and Blade Form. In shield form, its stats include a base 155 Def and 145 Sp Def . In Blade form, those defenses are switched with its attack stats. It switches to Blade Form when it uses an offensive move. It switches back to Shield form when it uses a defensive move like Protect or its signature King's Shield. King's Shield is like Protect but greatly lowers the attacker's Attack stat if you are hit by Physical Contact.

btw Senna...as our resident Ghost lover...I am almost positive you'll be grabbing both Ghost/Grass evolution lines, right? XP

Of course! I'll be getting ALL of the Ghost types this gen~ I really love both of the Ghost/Grass lines! The basic ones are super cute! But of course, Honedge and its line shall be my main Ghost type of this generation. Because come on, it's a ghost sword! It's basically a tailor-made Pokemon for me! And aaahhh, Aegislash is so awesome! I'm so excited over the entire evolution line! (Note, I plan to have like at least 24 Honedges/its evolutions in X. Yes. At least 24. <3)
