Dad, as soon as you came home, everyone in the house became stressed and angry. You know why? Oh, maybe it's because you can't ever say anything positive? You find mom cleaning the kitchen. Instead of being nice, you play the Sarcastic Asshole game, where you make a bunch of "jokes" that are all extremely deprecating and cruel. When she tells you to please stop, you MAKE MORE FUCKING JOKES AT HER EXPENSE.

And then when she's in tears you say that oh no, it's all okay, you were joking. Do you apologize? No, of course not. You pin the blame on us, call yourself the victim, and try to joke your way out of it.

I knew dA was full of freaks, but this has solidified it for me. And looking at the comments... people are talking about people being 'butthurt' over it. I'm not butthurt. I'm disturbed. I'm like... concerned for these people. Also why does Mew have tumors in her arms and legs? l2 anatomy...

Rant: ECPI, why did you make me come in for 30 minutes in the fucking snow and ice to take a final that I could've taken at home? We were slipping along the ice quite a bit. It was freaking me out!

Also totally bombed the final cause the RNG gods hated me. I got questions on it I never had before on previous quizzes nor was it on my study guide. FML. Oh well. I still passed the class with an A.

Some woman, who we know, has had my cat for MONTHS. She went missing back in October. We even called her about it to see if she had her. About a week later she apparently turned up at her house and has had her ever since and only decided to call my mum about it TODAY. I'm so fucking angry. I thought my cat was dead. She went missing before and I tried to just block it out this time and forget about her because I thought she was dead. I couldn't handle it again. SHE WAITED FOUR FUCKING MONTHS. Now she's claiming she wants to keep her and my mum doesn't know what to do. :/

Boss says I can't have my promotion even though I make the very minimum for my job due to an organization-wide restructuring since I don't have a degree. The other two people in the senior position I want don't have degrees either, but they were "grandfathered" in. So they're hiring people off the street making more than me, who takes 150!!! more calls a month than any other tech and has been doing this job for 6 years now. I also can't move to another position because they can't afford to lose me on the phones because everyone else has left, and we're so short staffed it's pathetic. And for some reason the same beloved manager type person has decided to criticize my support tickets(I do tech support for a hospital). If I put "tried reboot" in a ticket, you would think since I sent the ticket out it would be pretty friggin obvious that the reboot DID NOT work, but he calls me to ask if it did or not. And then makes me put that it didn't work in the ticket. If I had fixed the bloody problem, I wouldn't have had to put a ticket in to have someone go out to the pc, now would I have?

Honestly, it's a tough choice...but the cat is rightfully yours. She doesn't hold ownership for it if you have the paperwork and everything.

The problem isn't getting the cat back. It's deciding what's best for her. In all honesty, it's up to my mum, not me. I don't even live at home anymore, so my mother would be taking complete care of her. I'd only be able to visit. But both me and my mum are very angry that she waited this long to tell us about it, apparently she even asked my mum to call the vet and tell them that Poppy's her cat now!! The fucking bitch! Both me and my mum want to take her back out of spite, and of course because we love her to bits and she's rightfully our cat. She has a chip with my mum's address and name on, getting her back would be easy even if she didn't want to let us take her back.

The problem is deciding what's best for Poppy. She clearly went back because she likes it there, that's the second time we've found her there now. She gets overfed and spoiled rotten until she's fat. Last time we found her, she was like a barrel and overfed on sweet, fattening milk that wasn't good for her. Back at ours, she was happy, but didn't get treated like that. She had regular cat milk which she didn't want at first and got fed less often, although it was more at first because she was so used to having so much to gorge on. She was back to normal and eating healthily within months. She was back to her old self again, cuddly and attention seeking and full of love. But she just... went back one day. It broke my heart when I found out, but maybe letting her stay there is best for her. She's happy there. She's an old cat now, if we took her back, she'd have to be kept indoors to stop her wandering off again. My mum's not used to keeping the other cats in 24/7, the other two we have go out on a night time.

I don't know. As I say, it's up to my mum in the end. Poppy would just be down the road and I could still visit her, but I hate the woman for not telling us about her and I already disliked her to begin with for taking months to take Poppy to the vet to be searched for a chip, meaning the first time she went missing (for almost two years) we could've found her months before we did. Same thing this time, only this time she chose not to call us about it. I don't want to see this woman. If she keeps her and I wanted to see Poppy, I'd have to see her. I didn't like her in the first place anyway. I just don't know what to do.

It might be best to keep your cat then if that lady is making your cat super fat. Obesity is deadly for felines and many are unable to process milk.
If you and your family are doing this for only the cats happiness... I would personally keep that cat inside your house so it doesn't have a painful life from being spoiled so badly. She may enjoy being spoiled.. But there's a pretty good chance it will be the end of her if you guys already found her like a barrel before.

I know. :/ And I've said this to my mum. The other problem is that my mum has work now, which means she's out all day and the other cats would be the only ones keeping her company a lot of the time. When we brought her back the first time, the other two remembered her so there's no problem there. It's all up to my mum and... whatever decision she goes with, I'll support that, but I can't say I won't be disappointed if she decides to let her keep her, but I'll also feel guilty if we bring her back and she's not as happy as she was... Even if she's getting overfed, she was happy, and taking her from one house to another and back again will no doubt confuse her a little. That's also probably part of the reason she left again.

Another, slightly more petty thing that bothers me is that this woman called her Nancy when she found her, and whenever she speaks to us she refers to her as Nancy and *urg*... thanks to her, I can't stand that name. She's OUR cat and she's called POPPY. Not Nancy. She would be dead without this woman's help, so I thank her for that, but ever since then she's gotten it into her head that Poppy belongs to her and... urg, piss off. :/

Honestly Snowy...being overfed is NOT what's best for her. That could kill her in a few months. Animals will go where the food is but that doesn't mean that's what best for them. But that's my two cents as an animal lover and one that cares about nutrition.

^^^This. The fact that she's being overfed is reason enough to take her back. The lady also needs to learn that she can't have everything she wants. It is YOUR cat after all

This might sound bizzare but do you think she lured her back and maybe kept her inside so she couldn't get back to you? This woman sounds like she wants to keep your cat and the fact she wants you to tell the vet that she's now her cat makes me very suspicious - if you found someones cat and knew who it belonged to don't you think you'd tell them? If you keep cats indoors for 2 weeks or so they associate that as their home...I would take her back. She's your beloved pet, if this woman wants a cat she can go rescue one. She sounds like a freak tbh.

Honestly if she has other cats for company thats enough for them. They don't need people all the time like a dog. Cats are solitary creatures. We have 2 cats and I work all day, they seem very happy just being with each other. They only get upset when we both go on holiday but during the day they are fine. They are also indoor cats so maybe its time Poppy became one too
