Myri didn't respond, though now she was curious. She turned and looked at the goblin briefly, seeing if he would continue, before leaning into Tirrae a bit more.

"Hmm, you are probably right with that." Thren admitted. "Does not mean it is not something to consider if your friends are in danger and there is no other way to help."

"Get back here!" Iocha growled as she took off after the drakeadon. As soon as she hit the air outside she closed her eyes and let her mind drift into a more animalistic state. Her body seemed to shift into another plane and the form of a ghost wolf took over instead. As her eyes opened again she let out a little growl before taking off after Arbennig again.

Farnnen reached Booty bay only to be almost slammed into by a ghost wolf. with a gasp of surprise he jumped backwards barely in time, and stared after them scratching his head. what was that spirit wolf after? he began to run.

Karzix - Booty Bay

Karzix swallowed, rocking back and forth on his heels. What had he gotten himself into? "Ah, well..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, this guy, he just... urgh, how tah put it? He just wasn't a lucky guy. Bit o' a street rat, right? Well, fahr us goblins, yah might as well be gahrbage when that's yahr lifestyle. Gold makes the world turn 'round, right?" He let out an expressionless laugh.
"Well, thing is, this guy 'ad a pretty big family. Five siblin's in all, includin' 'imself. 'E was the fourth youngest. Now, these guys were pretty much on their own - their ma was off doin' 'er own thing and as fahr their dad, well... er, let's just say the mothah 'ad an... active... social life." He let out a cough. "Y'know, just not a good stahrt fahr the guy, right? It was just... kinda down'ill the whole way fahr 'im." He swallowed and crossed his arms. "Y'see, the oldest siblin' 'ad tah take care o' all the youngah ones, right? Well, he felt like this was more o' a job than a duty. As such, he expected tah get paid fahr it." He paused and cleared his throat. "Yeah. Just down'ill from there. And... well, yeah." He faltered, not entirely sure he wanted to continue on. Fel, he was getting soft. Why was he telling her this?

Myri turned herself so she was facing the goblin more, an intent look on her face as she listened.

Swift left Myri's side to go sit next to Karzix. The goblin looked rather upset about something and since Karzix was one Swift's Best Buds, the fox felt it was his duty to help the rogue.

Fel dammit crud fel crap son of a taxpayer. What had he gotten himself into? Karzix swallowed again, his throat feeling dry.
"Well... the oldest brothah, when he expected tah get paid, he expected tah get paid. He'd set an amount 'n' deadlines fahr each siblin'. If they didn't reach it in time? Didn't have enough cash on them? Well, 'e didn't 'ave a lot of patience. 'Ad that happened too many times? Well. Sucks tah be you. That bastahrd made sure you wouldn't want tah be late in payin' again. 'E made sure tah teach that poor kid a lesson." He snapped the last line, flattening his notched and ragged ears against his skull. He crossed his arms, glaring down at the sand. "...Yeah. 'E was one unlucky guy. Took 'im more than one 'lesson' tah get it intah 'is thick skull, too." He reached out as Swift sat beside him, scratching unthinkingly behind the fox's ears as he stared down at the ground.

Involuntarily Myri ventured "and I bet the oldest enjoyed hurting others too. And you try to run from the person who wants to hurt you only to find you can't get away, no matter what you do... " The huntress shuttered as she trailed off, tears welling in her eyes again.

Farnnen panted and slowed to a stop. who was he kidding, there was no way he was going to catch up to a spirit wolf running like mad. instead he turned and headed into the inn, deciding he could use a small meal.

Karzix - Booty Bay

Karzix was silent for a long moment. "Yeah. That sounds about right." He muttered, furrowing his brow. He dropped his hands at his sides when he realized his fingernails were digging into his arms in their crossed position. He swallowed a few times, drawing in a deep breath. He ran his fingers through his hair and slowly exhaled. He looked down at Myri, noting that she looked about ready to cry again. "Fel, Myri, don't cry! Agh, I'm only makin' yah worse. Fel." He rubbed his face, pinching the bridge of his nose. What were you thinking, Karzix? She doesn't need to hear your friggin' sob story. Man up. He simply sat down next to her, deciding that simply offering silent companionship was about the best thing he could do right now.

Myriana and Swift - Booty Bay

Myri took several deep breaths and shook her head. "No no! It's fine really." She tried wipe the tears from her eyes, but Karzix's story had opened up a damn. Involuntarily, Myri found herself telling the goblin everything that happened from the moment they set foot in the camp to Willowe's reaction to her scars last night. When she was finished, the hunter put her head in her hands and wept, though this time the tears were more from release than grief.

Swift layed sprawled across both Myri and Karzix - his head in the hunter's lap and the other end in the rogues, trying to be both places at once.

The goblin listened in silence to her story until she finished. He bowed his head for a moment, letting out a silent sigh. He looked back up at her. "Listen, Myri, yah've got us, right? We ain't gonna let that elf touch yah again. Trust me. Lemme tell yah - I don't know if my brothah is alive or not. Or the rest o' my cowardly siblin's that helped 'im. I don't want that kinda thing hangin' ovah yah're 'ead fahr the rest o' yahr life. None o' us do. We'll keep that from happenin', I can promise yah that." He said with a hint of viciousness. He breathed a few times, trying to calm himself down. "And Myri... don't tell anyone what I told yah, right? You n' Glix; that's the only people I've told about this and I want it tah stay that way. I don't want any of the othah's pity. Undahstahnd?" He said quietly, absently stroking Swift and listening to the draenei cry.

The hunter hugged Tirrae and nodded. "Karzix, you did not see her face. I know she will do anything to have me back, even if it takes her 100 years, she will hunt me down. What if you and the others aren't around then?" she shook with fear as she once more thought of the mage, but quickly got a hold of herself. Talking to Karzix had distanced her somewhat from the ordeal, but she was far from out of the woods yet.

She sat in silence for a few moments, trying to compose herself, before continuing "I am so sorry you had to go through all of that Karzix. No child ever should. Your secret is safe with me." She looked at the goblin and tried her best to smile as she wiped her eyes for the umpteenth time. "We should probably be getting back. I do not want Willowe to send out a search party."

Karzix was quiet for a moment. "Well, then... guess she's gonna have to see our faces. 'Cause we're gonna be doin' anythin' tah get back at 'er, even if it takes us 100 years, we'll hunt 'er down. 'Cept she'll be dealin' with all o' that times everyone in our group. She's gonna be the one worryin' about bein' safe with the rest o' 'er Cultist buddies." He cast Myri a wry smile. The smile faded at her next words. He went silent, staring out at the ocean. He breathed in deeply and then let out a long, weary sigh, finally nodding. "... Thanks, Myri." He pushed Swift off of his lap and stood up, brushing the sand off of his clothes. "Right. Let's go."

Somehow, the hunter didn't doubt Karzix's words about hunting down that mage. To be quite honest, she was rather touched that the goblin thought highly enough of her to want revenge on Senisra. Myri gently pushed the other half of the fox off her with a scratch behind his ear and disentangled herself from Tirrae, kissing the warpstalker on the head as she did so. She silently thanked both her pets before finally standing up.

Shaking her head, she told Karzix "I think I should be the one thanking you." She left it at that as she dusted herself off, pulling her ponytail out and shaking the sand out of her hair vigorously before putting it back up again. Wiping her face again to make sure no tears remained, the draenei followed after Karzix, pets bringing up the rear.

It wasn't long before Myri and her pets reached the inn. She was even more exhausted now after her talk with Karzix, but she felt a little less heavy at heart. She went and sat down away from the others, wanting some peace. She flagged down a waitress and ordered a heafty meal for her and the animals, then sat back with her eyes closed as she waited for her meal to arrive.

Karzix and Glix - Booty Bay

Karzix cast the draenei a mildly surprised look over his shoulder. She wanted to thank him? For unloading that on her? He wasn't quite sure how that had helped, but to each their own, he guessed. He supposed he was glad he had managed to help. The damned girl was starting to grow on him, he thought, chuckling halfheartedly to himself. This group was making him soft.
Soft or not, she had been through hell and back and he knew how that felt. At least she had the chance to get revenge on the person that had done that to her. He himself had no such luxury, and he had to admit he was envious. He frowned to himself, glancing up as they approached the town.

Once they had entered the inn he cast a tired glance around the room, sitting down at a lone table. Glix spotted him and got up, placing the sleeping World Destroyer on her chair. She took the seat across from him, peering at his face. She blinked at his haggard expression, furrowing her brow. "... What happened?"
Karzix looked at her for a moment before quietly retelling what had happened, not going into detail over what Myri had experienced. Glix crossed her arms, leaning back and sighing. She studied him for a moment, offering him a wry smile. "Maybe you should go back to bed, Karz. You look exhausted. Might help clear your head, too."
Karzix nodded, getting back up. He pushed in his chair, then glanced back at Glix. She was quiet, simply looking at him. He stared back, also silent, then finally turned around and dragged himself to his room upstairs. Glix rubbed her forehead once he had disappeared. Poor guy.

Farnnen-Booty bay

Farnnen took a seat at a table with one of the goblins, and ordered his meal absently wondering about the things he had seen, particularly the ghost wolf. finally he sighed and shrugged it off. whatever had happened was none of his business. he silently smiled to himself. it had been a while he had last had an ordered meal, usually he just ate with his father in their small room, often on the floor even, or in a chair.
