Hahaha yes, I think many folks, especially those who play hunters are collectors at heart. I don't even like tabards and I must have equipped over 30 by this point as well (and if they implement the tabard tab I will have to rebuy all the ones I sold, just because). And I'm grateful that now we can collect mountains of mounts and companions, if we want to. For those who want them, they're gold and time sinks, for those who don't, it doesn't change how the game is played for the most part.ummeiko wrote:All I feel like saying is that if this game wasn't at least on some level about collecting things, I don't know what my 111 mounts and 137 pets are doing. Plus the 30-something tabards I've equipped and the many complete sets of tier gear sitting in my bank.
There are achievements strictly for COLLECTING things. Blizzard knows it's a strong driving force for a number of people who play this game.
No, this isn't Pokemon (and I don't buy that excuse anyway), but Blizzard keeps giving us opportunities (and incentives to an extent) to gather more pets by introducing more and more skins to the game (a move that I am not at all ungrateful towards). What's going to happen if/when they introduce a new family or two? Hydras, basilisks, kodos, talbuks, stags, giraffes... whatever it is people are secretly hoping for.
Not saying we should get unlimited pet stable slots. I'd just like to see the option of more, up to some higher but still reasonable threshold (what that would be would be probably varies per person

At the beginning of Wrath (and maybe throughout, I don't remember) the last 2 stable slots had to be purchased, so buying stable slots with gold has been done already.
