well i got to say mine was an easy tame i was afk watching tv and while i was parked in mid air near the spawn points at the temple of storms i had npc scan so when it went off i came rushing back to my computer because i know everyone gets the jitters when their beloved pet spawns so i kinda killed myself because i was feeling like i had to do it before he was killed or tamed so almost half way down i dismounted taking a lot of damage so instead of eating to get my health back up i used my call stabled pet and got rid of a pet i forget which one it was and i began taming, well it killed me so i rezzed ate and drank until my health and mana was full then started taming it it usually helps for me to promise soemthing in return for letting me tame it i used to have a dog and it was not trained very well so the moment i opened the gate to the back yard he took off running so i had to offer him food to get him to come back.
Good luck and if you have to get rid of a pet for a new one like arcturis dont get rid of skoll hes the only spirit beast that isnt somewhat if not completely see-through and hes the only one that is surrounded by lightning, i know its off topic but you should tame the kurken before cataclysm because with auberdine destroyed it may be more difficult to get back to azuremyst this is mainly for the fellow horde hunters out there and even though i absolutely hate the alliance i must say if there are any rare spawns in mulgore that some of you alliance hunters out there may want you should get it as soon as possible(i dont remember if there is or not).
Sorry for getting off-topic
"Y’know, Taurens are born hunters. You ever see a Tauren catch a salmon out of a stream? It really is quite exciting. You ever see a Tauren stalk a python? 'Course you haven't. That's because Tauren are so adept at blending in with their surroundings."
"Five curses and spite live in each gnome this truth cant be ignored, the best way to get rid of a gnome is to throw that Gnome Overboard.""
I actually accidentily found Skoll, while flying over for SoH dailies. I guess im really really lucky
I instantly threw out my loyal devilsaur and caught this beauty <3
Started my camping trip for Skoll but so far no worg in the horizon. Camped yesterday for 6 straight hours, while being worried of a bot that circles one of his spawn points, the bot has been reported but my ticket is still open.
The only rare I saw was Vyragosa yesterday, she just popped up in the valley with the harpies but thats not the issue.
*Makes offerings to great P.Dawg and takes Veph's Skoll Charm*
Special thank you to the guildies who had to stand my Boom de yada in the guild chat and Ryai for keeping me company in the evening when everybody left.
I camped him for months. Trust me, it's like finding the love of your life... it happens when you've just about given up and have pretty much stopped looking. That's what makes it so sweet.
yup I was pretty much done looking just happen to have to sit down stairs middle of the night with the three year old and decided to fly it just one more time before giving up totally and bam there he was hiding in the trees
He has arrived (actualy created a naming thread for a moment but one of the wolf name threads inspired me), with proudly being named as Alastor.
~ before naming, because I wanted to get out of Storm peaks so fast it wasn't funny.
*hugs all her guildmates who keeped her company in the mountains*
well I finally got him, after a long break between university and having nothing to do this summer I camped him for 40-ish hours before finally taming. My friend started spamming me with msn messages and whispers I was so tired and nearly pissed myself. Oh well he does some pretty good damage in ICC gear, whenever guild raid doesn't have that 3% aura or a few select slime bosses hehe.
When i was after the lil spirit beastys i just did 2 laps starting at grizzly hills running up to Zul drak and onto Storm peaks, did these usually about 5 am, just went over there spawning areas, when there waws no sign i went back to bed, did this for 2 weeks and eventualy got all 3.
to be honest camping for endless hours is only going to get you riled up and frustrated.
as for npc scan justmake sure you delete your cashe folder b4 each run, 5 mins in dal and youl run into a tamed one. then your npc scan wont go off in the field.
I actually have Skoll, mostly just on sheer principle. A friend of mine was mining in the area and noticed him. They were kind enough to ask if I wanted him, so I dashed across the entirety of Northrend to find him ambling around under my Warrior buddy's watchful eye.
I waited for about 5 minutes, wondering if anyone in the area was camping him, but no one ever stopped by. I thought about leaving him (he's not really a Spirit Beast I wanted), but I couldn't stand the idea of someone killing him thinking he was for the achievement or for a stack of Frostweave and a few gold. So I ended up taming him. He's a pretty fellow, but still unnamed and just hanging around in my stable. I feel sort of bad for that, but at the same time, I can't bring myself to get rid of him.
well I think the best thing is to not camp! I camped all day yesterday for 10 hours on Inaric got annoyed and logged off. Had Sas on one camp spot and switched her and Inarics spot and then I have another warrior at another spot. Logged on this morning at 9:10 and silverdragon spots Skoll right where Inaric logged off so I named him Jupiter since I have a theme going on.. its acutally greek theme but I like the roman name for Zeus better. Now I am watching for loque for a friend of mine.. got him every spirit beast except loque lol.
